At first I felt a little called out over the zombie apocalypse bag. My bug out bag, also known as emergency preparedness kit is in a similar state. I laughed at myself, hauled it out and put stuff in it.
But, yeah, it's a thing. A lot of people just say zombie apocalypse but mean natural disasters, social unrest, supply chain breakdowns and such.
We have one too, just a bit more stocked up than his bag. 😆 It's definitely worth it to be prepared!
Many people have backpack style B.O.B ( BUG OUT BAG). It’s for multi emergencies ( extremely dangerous weather, fire, and for when SHTF hits.) I never thought of myself as being one of those people even tho there’s been more tornadoes that have hit our area plus the riots and power outages in Texas hit I realized that we should have something’s to be prepared to bug out if need be. Even tho we live in a small town the riots were in multi towns around us. Breaking in places, looting and destroying property was very scary here. Any way I loved this video. I laughed so hard and I was embarrassed for her. Can’t wait to watch the kitchen make out ! Love all you videos ! I have improved on organizing my tint house but still have 2 major areas that I’m still struggling with. My craft/family room in our pole barn. When it comes to crafts I go head over heel buying things. I bought sterlite plastic drawers to paper in for scrapbooking and now I have a whole wall of theses plastic drawers. Maybe someday Your videos will help me accomplish this!

Haha the empty apocalypse bag! In our area we have “72 hour kits” and we’re all encouraged to have one in case of a natural disaster-but we try to keep ours actually stocked with food and stuff 😆

Totally agree! I have 2 BOB myself. But the husband in this video needs to start with the most basic of basic supplies. Fire, water, food, and shelter. It seems this is a person who went down the prepping rabbit hole and bought the most showy and popular survival items, without tending to the most basic needs first.
I get the idea of a "get out of here bag" - can be useful in several situations - but sounds like he was going by himself? Was he leaving the wife and kids at home?
@@crushnell He sounds REALLY new to this prepping concept. Maybe he's just starting out and making only one bag first, and is taking his time putting supplies piece by piece in there as he gets them? But still, water, fire, food, and shelter are VERY simple supplies that should have been in there already, way before the machete 😂
This was hilarious! Each person in my family has an apocalypse bag! Ours are a bit more complete than his, and we have used ours several times already!

We have three dogs and our tiny bantam chicken, “peanut.” We all live together very happily… If I could post a picture I would… You go girl…. You are very special… And a down to earth person. When I first started watching these videos quite some time back, I found you very unique and somehow drawn in. You are totally human and down to earth… I can so relate with you in many, many ways. We call ours a bug out bags and have one for every member of our family.
We've been stuck in several shtf (large city power outage, extended power outage at home, a loss of a family member in the infamous Paradise fire, etc) which prompted us getting one. Ours are a bit more practical and well thought out than the one you saw. Extra set of clothing, non perishable food items, life straws, basic first aid, etc. Look em up because they may not solve all your problems, but could make you infinitely more comfortable in a shtf situation.
My apology for your family in paradise our niece went through that as well, now all of our family homes burnt in the dixie fire in greenville. Bug out bags are a great idea.

Even funnier than most of the if you stayed to the ends. About the husband's bug out bag, my assumption is that he hasn't exactly stocked it yet, but at least has the bag. Lol

I LOVED THIS VID!! I wish that I knew your friend Stephanie and her family. They come across as such an intelligent, warm, interesting, & FUN family! She was so cute and ‘REAL’ in her willingness to let us look into her beautiful home! I would have had such a hard time letting go of those gorgeous barn doors BUT… I LOVE the new doors and the access does seem SO much easier!! It is always a great reminder to me every time you talk about prime real estate! I can SO relate to Stephanie! My S.O. has one of those straws “for sucking out of mud puddles” btw, as well as every knife imaginable. My brother has an escape jeep &, I literally have sev. friends with chickens. I love them! They are actually really smart and enjoy things like chicken swings….no lie! I think that I am definitely both butterfly AND Ladybug. I love, love, love the ladybug look but, I am a butterfly by nature, when I’m tired, and when I’m in a hurry, etc etc etc. The chemistry between the two of you worked so well in this video, laughing, & working together!!! I'm glad you said she was part butterfly and part ladybug, because I just took your quiz for the first time and it said I was a ladybug, but after reading about both, I feel like a butterfly as well. I am a ladybug about things I don't care much about, like clothes, toiletries, and medicine etc. just throw those all in a bin, I don't wanna see it and I don't wanna take anytime with it. And I'm a butterfly about things I love to see, like my kid's toys and my craft supplies, I wanna be able to pick them up and set them down a lot and I want my kid to feel the same about his toys. Plus I LOVE all the rainbow color of the kids toys.

We keep a bug out bag of basic items in case of emergency, due to weather or whatever and it sounds like this husband is just getting started filling his. The water straw is the most important thing. I applaud him for getting started.

Love the video! Laughed a lot! One great thing to keep in your emergency bag is cash! If the grid goes down, debit and credit are not going to work. Even a couple of hundred bucks is a good start. Put twenty away each week or two and you will never miss it. In a few weeks you will have a nice little stash.

Omg, the shoes remind me of my bro in law who is a very avid runner. He is a meticulous housekeeper (think cricket on steroids)but in his garage he had an entire wall of retired running shoes. Things that make you go hmmmmm?
I you sure your BIL isn't a clone of my husband? Avid runner that is a cricket on steroids. A perfect description of my husband. Non runners don't understand why they need so many shoes, but they do! Even after they're too broken down for running, they are still good for daily wear or yardwork.

Hey! Are you calling me weird!? 😜 I have two of those! One for me and one for my dog. I can barely pick up the one for me because I have so many preps in it. It may be for end times or who knows? I live in Florida and there’s always a possibility of having to evacuate because of a hurricane. There are tools, clothes, toiletries, first aid, cooking utensils, a stove and yes, one of those straws! It is a great feeling of security. Not so sure about the things he had in his, but I feel really secure with mine!

There is so much to love here…the results of the closet are amazing! But omg…I don’t know where to put it, it can’t go with Halloween stuff because when he wants it it has to be accessible! Classic! And I love the visual of taking a chicken for a walk on a leash. This is just too good. I love how much fun you both had filming this!
