I think they are being so loud. It’s already a stressful situation. I would have tried to make my kittens experience a bit more calming and reassuring.
They should have given the cat a sedative. That is too uncomfortable for the cat. The poor little cat is experiencing too much distress. The talking and laughing while the vet is cleaning the cat's ears is not professional. I beg you people to please do better next time.
I believe they administered it just before they started removing debris (on camera). It's when they put the liquid in the ears and then pinch them closed to shake them a bit. Usually, the actual medicine goes in last because the skin is now exposed and can be healed by it, as well as the lack of mites being a benefit!
They do usually cleaner first, and yes they have to dig out all the wax and debris from the mites q-tip by q-tip until all of its out, then they administer the medicine that kills the mites. It's ears are red and raw because of the infection from the mites. Infections will cause inflammation and cause skin to be sore and red and painful this is what happens. And then it gets treated
