I hate the fact people blame April for the end of this relationship. April was a sweetheart who wanted to get to know her dad. She did nothing wrong and the two times she did interact with lorelai, she was sweet and kind to her. The issue was Luke wanting to keep Lorelai and April apart because he felt Lorelai would be liked better, and he'd be pushed aside, and Lorelai was also to blame, because she kept her feelings bottled up, letting the jealousy and resentment build and build until her breakdown at Lane's wedding, and then the ultimatum. She kept assuring him she was fine waiting, but had she actually gone to him and been honest, they might of managed to work through it. I also blame Chris for taking advantage. When a woman you claim to care about turns up devastated and heartbroken and then drinks with you, you either sleep on the couch, or put her on the couch, you do not have sex with her in such a vulnerable state! That was completely selfish and disgusting.

Luke and Lorelai's Relationship was interesting. I wish Rory and Jess would have had a chance to get back together.

They were two adults both drinking who had sex and both consented. Women expecting to have their hand held. Would you say a woman is responsible for "putting a man on her couch" who is in an emotional state and been drinking?

Typical feminist putting blame on anyone else instead of holding the woman accountable for her own actions.

Yep! Would have been better to have Luke & Lorelai have their own struggles with raising their own child.

Lorelai's face at 0:34 is still absolutely devastating to see. The realization, record scratch, and gut punch all battling in one moment. And then her face at 0:43 when she comes to terms that this is really happening and that the man she loves kept something this huge from her. The eyebrow raise is kind of like a, "because why wouldn't this be happening to me?" Lauren Graham was brilliant here.

I can give him 2 weeks to get over the shock but 2 months is ridiculous

Why is it ridiculous? It's a shock and isn't she like 12? That's still a shock he dealt with it in his own way. The same way Lorelai deals with her issues.

There is NO way in hell I would even walk down the aisle with a man who would keep such a secret and just spring this on me! Lorelai and Luke were basically in the 40 and over category and not getting any younger.-All sudden surprises about babies, exes, etc should be out by now. After already raising a daughter of my own by myself, there is NO way in hell I would play stepmom to another woman’s child. Children change a lot, and I would want to enjoy my life at that point!

Ok Luke and Loralais wedding and Luke being a dad are two different stories. Luke can do both he just sucks at multitasking which is so frustrating because he could have been married and a dad at the same time. He could have had best of both worlds a wife and a daughter in the same year.

This was clearly just a storyline thrown in to keep Lorelai and Luke apart, and that’s so annoying. It would have been more interesting to see them navigate marriage

under the guise of "doing so much for her" he was actually the one gaslighting her making her think it was because of april but he actually didn't want to marry her.. she should've dumped him and just find someone else lol

I wonder if she hadn’t found out, would he have told her before the wedding? What excuse would he have to postpone their wedding if he didn’t? Either way, he waited too long to tell her.
