To me April's mom Anna was the most despicable character on the show, alongside Christopher's father Straub. She hid April's existence from him for 12 years for no good reason, and would have continued to hide this if April hadn't been a science genius. Then once Luke and April bonded, she tried to take her away from him, to the other end of the country, and deny him any sort of access. I hated her, as much as I hated Straub for still being bitter about Lorelai's pregnancy 16 years later and not making any effort to get to know Rory.
what i also hated about her- was saying that just because luke and lorelai are engaged that he shouldn’t bring lore in april’s life. because engagements break- like the fuck. these were about to get married in a few months and with that comment she destroyed the relationship
I do not get dislike for April. She was great character, I loved her relationship with Luke. She should have been on more in last 2 seasons. The problem was not April, it is Anna whose logic was absurd Anna deciding to keeping Luke from April made no sense. I really liked April when she was on show

I never watched Gilmore girls or switched at birth until I watched switched at birth on Netflix. Totally love this actress. My 10 year old watches Austin and alley so I get that sister as well. Both sisters have the same voice but are different at the same time. It is ironic that the producers chose the same actress to do DNA tests in both shows.

April's Mom is the worst. Never tells her daughter who her father is? She has to find out with a DNA test? A selfish human being. Disgusting.
