@@kirshianaidoo9948 You don’t have to but it will hold up better.
That would be so easy to add straps to - and great job on matching the stripes! It looked like you were avoiding letting the serger knife actually cut the elastic, am I correct? I love the top you’re wearing, too.
Thanks for watching today. I made the top I had on too! I think the tube top would be so cute with straps! I didn’t let the knife cut the elastic. Just any extra little bits of fabric.

I really want to learn how to do smocked tube tops and just smocking in general
Smocking is a great technique. I have an older video on it but maybe I should make a new one!
So I don't need a special type of thread and needle to sew stretchy fabric?? ❤
No special thread.🧵 All purpose thread will work great. Just make sure it’s high quality & not the cheap stuff off Amazon. Yes & no to a needle. Ball point needles are for knit fabric but a universal needle will often be just fine. Test out your stitches & if they are skipping, you need a different needle.
