Fly Fishing for HUGE Grayling in Remote ALASKA | BEHIND THE SCENES of "Alaska Grayling Camp" PART 1

In this video I take you on a behind-the-scenes look at one of my favorite videos I've ever filmed: "Off the Beaten Path Ep.1: Alaska Grayling Camp," in which I flew back home to Alaska where I grew up, and head out into a remote section of the state's interior with good friend ‪@glennrunnalls4107‬ to fly fish an incredible wild river for huge, beautiful Arctic Grayling.
That video was produced in a documentary format and while I really love how it turned out, there is a huge amount of really great unseen footage that we filmed that weekend that didn't make it into the original video.
I decided to not let that footage go to waste and put it together into a much more raw, unedited video, showing a different and much more natural side to the incredibly beautiful and peaceful section of Alaska that we were in, that many people unfortunately never get to see.
I hope by doing this that I can give you a glimpse into what it really feels like to be the only humans for miles around in such an incredibly untouched corner of the world.

I don't remember the name of the track on this one, it's from a database of copyright free music that I pay a subscription to to avoid RUclips copyright infringement, called Epidemic Sound.
But it is quite peaceful!

Where abouts were you fishing? Ive fished off the Steese Hwy east of fairbanks and the grayling was red hot. Mop Flies? You got to reply with a link to the ones you used. I usually catch on any tiny black fly. Fantastic video, thanks for the hard work

Im not sure which mops my buddy was using, Im more of a parachute adams guy if Im fishing dries lol
I cant give away the exact location but this was filmed near the Denali Highway... Ive never been fishing up on the Steese though, I bet that is fun!
