Fantastic video Ray!! I enjoyed the behind the scenes and understood it all without words. Slow motion was enjoyable to watch. Obviously a lot of effort went into this and we are the better for it. Thanks 🙏
Love this video (and the one with the pelicans) ! They show us how you work through the viewfinder ...great serie :) It would be amazing watching a similar video with small erratic flying birds!
Hey Ray.... Great footage it looks like the focus is better with that body. I try the best I can with video with my D850 and D500. But it's a bugger of a time. My latest video of a Male American Kestrel came out pretty decent though. Looking forward to your next one! Sayin' hey.... Greg
Great video Ray! Looks like the Z6II has you sold on mirrorless. Sounds and looks like a huge improvement over the first generation camera. I am still a bit concerned about the viewfinder blackout for BIF. Curious to hear your thoughts on that subject vs. your trusty D4S. Thanks!
Thanks so much Ira. I'm enjoying the Z6II for sure and to do these types of videos it's so much better than the D4s since I can actually record the viewfinder which was one of my main reasons for getting the camera. I'll be sharing my thoughts on a video in the near future. For now it's been fine but that blackout isn't ideal.
How many decoys you put out? Do you think just a simple setup with 6 of them surrounding a blind (to help ease the nerves of ducks that are already liking an area) would help?
Awesome to see how you work through the lens. Keep it up Ray!
Thanks so much Randy, I appreciate the feedback.
Love the in camera looks.
Thanks Scott.

Thanks so much for the very kind words Zaphir. Glad you enjoyed it.
Really like this way of video shooting (bird photographer myself). Always nice to see you work through your eyes (with settings etc.).
Thanks so much for the feedback and glad to hear you enjoyed it.
Just want to say I get some much out of these. Can see your thought process to getting your images. Appreciate it sir.
Thanks so much John, glad you are getting something from them.
love these in the field videos. the fact that these videos are public and free is a total gold mine.
Thanks so much Tony. Glad you are enjoying them.
Fantastic Ray!! I absolutely loved the Buffy's in flight slo-mo fantastic
Thanks so much Donna!
Perfect 😍😍
Maan that slow-mo takeoff video is super cool, as is the incoming drake. Definitely enjoy seeing through the viewfinder.
Thanks Homer, I was rather excited when I got that and in focus!
Absolutely loved the flight shots of the incoming bird and the slow mo video... Great recording setup indeed!!
Thanks so much, the takeoff I got very lucky with.

Thanks so much Federico. Small erratic flying birds would probably make everyone dizzy haha. I'll see what I can do!

Thanks Brad, glad you are enjoying them.

Ira, also stop back next week on Monday when I'll be sharing a behind the scenes video of all Harriers in flight.
@@RayHennessy hopefully they can improve it with firmware update.
Look forward to the Harriers video.
@@iralakritz9746 that would be nice I agree.

I was only using 6 Bufflehead and a few Mallards mixed in so yeah I'm sure that could help out!
What camera is this?
Nikon Z6II
Ray Hennessy Nice! Nice review on peta-pixel as well!
@@phillymanpete thanks Pete!
