to age 21 and one rescue siamese until age 24. 😊

As a first time crocheter, with a 19 year old cat who matts (despite my best brushing and combing efforts) and receives a spring sheer who then needs a sweater because there’s no such thing as spring in Canada (just winter and summer:) ) this was PERFECT. She’s a petite old lady so I used a #3 needle. Almost finished. Will see if it’s a fit. Thanks again!

Your comment reminded me of my last kitty when his real litter mate sister died, he would snuggle with me every night under the covers. He was elderly and missed snuggling with his sister. Now they are both gone. Ugh I do miss them. 20 years was a lot of love! 🐱🐱

I have been looking all over the internet for a good cat specific pattern and this is the only god and free one i could find finallyyyyy so THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I know this is old but I'm so glad I found it. I have a 12 year old cat who is cold all the time. If he can't find a patch of sun, he has to be laying on a warm body. Hopefully this will help him-if he will wear it. Time will tell. 🎄🤶😘

I love this video. I wrote down all the instructions so I can make more of them. I make a new one for my cat every few months. He hates not having one on. He is so cold all the time, short fur. He is a Bombay and very vocal. On round 25 currently.

OMG! I made this for my white weenie dog. It’s fits PERFECT! I made the arm holes 10 chain spaces after I tried it on him with the 8 chains. Can’t wait to send photos to you. He looks so handsome!

I have two dogs. One is always cold, and loves to wear sweaters. The other one refuses unless it is too cold, then she won't go outside without one. They are all different, just like people..

I made your sweater for my 18 year old cat. Even though our home was warm this last winter, I wanted to keep him warm. He didn't care for the length so I ripped it out and stopped under the belly sooner and made the back like the tails on a tux. He's old and now dieing. I expect his passing to be this week. He will be buried in his sweater. I love the turtle neck ribbing.
Going to use it in other projects.

I've made two sweaters so far and they turned out great! The first one was to big for my daughter's hairless cat, but fits my cat perfectly. I made one with 3 weight yarn and a 5mm needle and it's perfect. Wish I could post a pic but I don't know how? Thanks for such a great tutorial.
I just made this for my 15 year old ragdoll kitty who has never worn a sweater before. At first, she didn't know what to make of it and started walking backwards, but then, I actually think she got used to it. I used LionBrand Landscapes - Tropical and it looks so amazing on her. I wasn't sure how long to safely keep it on her...Her ears and nose stayed cool, so I figured she wasn't overheated, but she's a long haired Ragdoll and I didn't want to take a chance keeping it on too long. The pattern is perfect and was easy to follow. Thank you, Crystal!
This is hands down the best pet sweater video out there.
With the exception of trim work around the neck and leg openings this is worked in one continuous strand of yarn 🧶.

Made this for my daughters 35 lb pitbull, I used a J hook and added a extra row before I did the final rows of ribbing. Fits perfect...
I followed this step by step and I just wanted to say thank you for going so in detail and making this such an easy project! My cats will love it.

hi! i just wanna say thank you for kindly share this pattern + showing us how to do it, just finished mine in a span of 2 days-ish (im pretty slow tbh) and i love it so much, although the final product is a bit to baggy for my adult female cat (she's on the small adult side) so i ended up giving it to my aunt's cat (big male adult cat), i use size 4 yarn with 4.5mm/7.5 sized hook for the project so i can imagine how huge your cat might be, once again thank you for such lovely pattern ❤❤❤❤❤

i am a fairly new crocheter. i barely know terms and for the life of me i cant get down the magic ring or other simple things like granny squares. ive been crocheting since i was a child but i couldnt do more than blankets and some mesh bags. BUT this tutorial is AMAZING!!!!! im only just finishing the neck/collar but everything is so so easy to understand and to follow. i appreciate being shown front and back post so much, a stitch id never seen before ive now got down pat. big fan and forever following. if you think “this might be too hard” or “i dont know if i can do this im super new” this is the PERFECT tutorial (you do have to know chains and slip stitches but theyre super easy!) and so so so so so beginner friendly. thank you SO much. absolutely boosting my ego because i can make a cat sweater 🤣
I'm going to try to make it for my large dachshund. He would freeze outside in the winter here in Illinois without wearing something. Steven looked very relaxed with it on and in no distress. You really love that color don't you. It's a good thing because I do too and I've got plenty to use. Then, so I don't leave out the cat, I'll crochet him a Cat Bed House!

I don’t think its cruel. One of my cats love to be cozy when she goes out. She hates being cold but wants to go adventure. She LOVES her sweater and waits for me to put it on before she goes out to the freezing temps.
