All the big name singers that arent as good as Angelina are every where cuz they dress like sluts, Angelina is pure lady like and classy so she gets left behind. Its a backwards world. Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce. Oh, I forgot to say there are 2 versions of this song....the Piano Diaries version (the one you are listening) and the Artist version, which has more instrumentation and sounds more made for commercial radio. "If I Were a Boy" is a song written by BC Jean and Toby Gad and originally performed by Jean in 2008.[1] The song gained international attention the same year in a version by the American singer Beyoncé, from her third studio album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008). Jean and Gad also handled its production alongside Beyoncé. Inspired by the difficult break-up of a romantic relationship, the song was initially recorded by Jean, whose record company rejected it. Beyoncé then recorded her own version. Jean was upset when she learned that Beyoncé was releasing it as a single, but eventually, they reached an agreement. Columbia Records released "If I Were a Boy" to US radio on October 8, 2008, as a double A-side single alongside "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" as the lead singles. The two songs showcased the contrast between Beyoncé's personality and her aggressive onstage persona, Sasha Fierce. A Spanish version of the song, titled "Si Yo Fuera un Chico", was digitally released in Mexico and Spain.

Toby is an incredible song writer, and back in 2014 he was ranked as the world's 3rd most successful song writer, having also co-written "All Of Me" by John Legend and the song "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Fergie, just to mention a few. The "Piano Diaries" is an album of his that released yesterday, and on it he has invited different singers to sing rearranged versions of some of his most popular songs Toby and Angelina have also made at least ONE original together, called "Bad Valentine". That song will release in a couple of months. But they have been working quite a bit together already, and I am extremely hopeful that the two together can elevate Angelina's career to the next level. With the kind of voice and skills she possesses, all it takes is ONE song that will go viral, and the rest will be a done deal. I am absolutely positive that Angelina is the next superstar in the music industry. And as you can also see in THIS video, she will help put some class back into the biz as well. Much needed at that IMHO. I don't recall of you have reacted to her performance on the Nobel Peace Prize concert on December 11th last year, performing "Unchained Melody" ?? I've been waiting for your reaction, and it was a dandy. I'm confident others will inform you of the fact that Toby Gad is the writer of the song and collaborated with Angelina on this and a number of others, including some new originals that she apparently had a hand in.

Her voice is much different than Beyonce's, much dirtier in the best possible way. For me it conveys much more emotion. No longer Beyonce's song in my opinion!

Hi Darrnell, You arent doing your homework son. This is not a Beyonce' song ? It's a Toby Gad song he wrote and Beyonce' covered it after the original singer sang it B.C. Jean. Now when Toby Gad was working on his Piano diraries project he asked Angelina to reinvent his song for the project. She did and he liked it so much he signed over the rights to her version of it, She is releasing it now as her own.Not Beyonce', Angelina is way ahead of Beyonce' in the talent department.Angelina didnt match Beyonce' with her version Darrnell she surpassed her by a mile son.
