Nice reaction! On the piano is the co-writer of the song, Toby Gad. Just to let you know, the other co-writer of the song, BC Jean, was the first to sing the song as well as the person the song came from. She had just broken with the man that she loved. Per Toby, they played it for Beyonce one day and she really wanted to sing and use this song, and the rest you say is history. Angelina and Toby have been working together for a while now and are creating new music for her to sing. They teased a song at a special event called Bad Valentine and it should be coming out within a few months. This collaboration is awesome! The Piano Diaries is Toby's project of other singers singing his most famous songs. Angelina of course is singing this song made famous by Beyonce.

AJ turned 18yrs. on Jan. 10th, 2024 and I guess, if she attended a Senior year, she will have now graduated...As far as her career, it moves at the pace she chooses.

Only in an establishment that serves food has she worn shoes. I believe 3 times the last with Toby. Hopefully she gains enough clout to over ride that or she can tell them no if she so desires. They serve food and it's in California--you know the state with the mustache man wanna be for a governor. They won't let you into a grocery store in my state with no shoes. I'm good with her decisions. Like I said if she blows up then she will have more options. I am glad I have not seen anyone beating her up over that. I was concerned about that when I saw it. If anyone would wish to they have to meet 2 requirements for me---they must have done more for others than she has and they they would have had to NEVER have compromised on anything in their entire life. She has earned our understanding. This is way longer than I intended.

To all nice and supportive, but some impatient fans! There is a limit to what an 18-year-old artist can achieve with work... It is understandable thata few fans is impatient, but she is only 18 for God's sake! She is so skilled that she can actually almost set the pace herself. Within the music industry, all important people know who she is, and I can promise you she is a big name within the industry. She has performed at major events. She has perfomed for 40,000 with Norha Jones only 10 years old, Las Vegas, London, Germany, Brazil, and Nobel Peace Prize (2 times), several original releases, and the list is long... Many people know who Norha Jones is, but do you know that including cover channel Angelina has approx. 550,000 more subscriptions. I repeat: Angelina is 18 years old, so maybe a little more patience. guys. Don't just think uncritically as fans about what we want at an inhuman rocket speed! She is only 18 years old!

You have missed several recent AJ performances - including her performance of Unchained Melody with full orchestra at a Nobel Peace Prize event - as well as all the videos that have come out of her Las Vegas Show on Feb 29, 2024, and the 16 min documentary Angelina Jordan: 10 Years in the Making - if you react to her Las Vegas performances - use the videos from James Thiel and BigAngieFan as they have the best video and audio quality.
Angelina gave away her Shoes at 6yo.. she has performed Bare Foot for 12 years now... She said its part of her Identity and she will never stop... she also says in this difficult World .. " Be Kind " ... She's a Lovely Person.

The writers of the song, BC Jean and Toby Gad (which was the pianist here), was first performed by BC Jean, later covered by Beyonce which is the most popular. And now Angelina's time..... This really means a lot to us fans, that she was chosen out of all female singers out there. Thank you Toby. And thank you Sir for your kind words to Angelina, you really like her as an artist. No matter the person, she goes to your soul with her voice and lifts your hopes and emotions up. It's just so angelic and perfect.
Regarding the recording of this video, my guess is that it is as usual music videos are done. Filmed and the audio track is recorded in studio, but I don't really know exactly if there are parts where it is actually live, or recorded in the church as audio and added to the video. You know like having multiple audio and one video and merge the best parts. Myself I haven't studied it in detail.
As for her career, her family are steering her. Angelina probably is ready for big fame and wants it, but I would trust her family taking it slow. After all we have to be careful and not ruin such a great talent that comes once every century. God Bless mate
She has a song she wrote with Toby Gad called Bad Valentine. You can find it on her Grandma Mery’s Mosarz channel. It’s “bad” lol!
First, she has a 'Preferred Artist' contract with Republic Records that she signed at 14. She is being managed carefully so as not to get her burned out. Second, Toby Gad is the co-writer of this song. He is the one who pitched this to Beyonce' then produced the mega-hit it became. He specifically chose Angelina to do her take on this song 15 years later. Toby has been so impressed with Angelina that they're working on several projects they have in fact a new song that they've been showing to small groups of people. It is called, 'Bad Valentine' and she tears a hole in the universe with this one. Here is the link.

At her Las Vegas concerts in February she debuted a new song called Princess Of Ruins which is about why she performs barefoot. She says she will always do that because it’s her identity. There are some great videos of her Vegas concerts on the channels of James Thiel and Big Angie Fan if you want to check out those performances.
As far as the pace of her career I think she is setting the pace. I’ve heard some say that she wanted her career to grow organically. I think we all want to see her explode but Adele didn’t release her first album until 19 and didn’t become a major star until a couple years later. Taylor Swift started to become popular at about this age and it took a while for her to become the megastar she is today at 34.
Angelina has apparently had an album of originals ready for a while and planned a tour after its release. She has teased it but the strategy seems to have changed to slow things down a bit.
I think you are correct that this is probably a full studio recording and the video is just using the church for a backdrop. There is another version of this song (video released today) with the same vocal track but different instrumentation which seems geared toward a younger audience.
The recording of this song is a Toby Gad project. He cowrote the song with original artist BC Jean. Toby recently recorded an album called Piano Diaries which included reworkings of songs he wrote or cowrote. He asked Angelina to perform this song. They recently performed this song at several events including in London. Angelica also wrote some new music with Gad. The song Bad Valentine is to be released in a month or so.

Only Angelina can bring that pure raw emotion to the music and the song. She's just miles ahead of the rest. If I'm correct there was Toby on the Piano, the Cello, a Violin in the background that You couldn't really see and Angelinas Voice. (Four Instruments). Also look out for another collaboration with Toby called Bad Valentine. I think we can look forward to more from them in the near future.

Hi TYLR. I love your reactions to Angelina. You notice so many details. Wasn't this amazing? I think there was a violin (or maybe two) off camera. No rush for Angelina. They are letting it happen organically, and here she is working with arguably one of the top 5 songwriters. He took her to the London Palladium to perform it with him. The chemistry between Toby Gad (the pianist) and Angelina, bodes well for the future.

You put your finger on the intent but not the driver. This performance is part of an album produced by song writer Toby Gad. He has taken eight if his songs from years gone by and selected eight younger, relative unknown singers to interpret them today. His plan was to have each song re-introduced, not create a collection of covers. AJ was an ideal choice for this project being known for her original interpretations. Angie and he are also collaborating on new material, likely one of many talented writers who will be wanting to do the same.

I'm sorry...I cannot, can not believe you interrupted to talk about whether she's barefoot...Why not let her have her performance first & foremost.. Praises are wonderful, but- - I respect the talent & work she & her team have put in, & thanks too, to Republic Records for great support & to the pianist who happens to have written this song she's singing.
You need to understand that these people get copy write strikes if they don't pause. Some get away with it occasionally but eventually RUclips blocks them. This is the norm and will not change. I don't mind them stopping rather than talking over the artist.
If you need to hear the song uninterrupted, then go watch to original video.
It is unfortunate that reactors have to pause the videos sometimes, but they risk being blocked by RUclips if they don't, because of copyright issues. If the interruption is used to provide meaningful, intelligent review, as is the case here, it's fine. I think that reactors play a very important role in promoting and giving increased exposure to many artists.
