Hey all, I forgot to mention in the video that you need to set the following parameter to 1 ( it defaults to 0 ) in the 'Falcon BMS 4.37\User\Config\Falcon BMS.cfg' file: set g_bExportRTTTextures Thanks to @a53-platty78 for reminding me!
Hello again Mr. MJ... and thank you so much for this video... and the response to my query. After a few weeks of trying to get my BMS / Falcon to function properly... your video / tutorial helped me resolve one of my many issues.... which have led to my BMS/Falcon to fly. Now I have to re-learn how to fly... but that one is all on me. I am, as I am sure, so many of us are, grateful to have guys like you who want to take the time to help, make these videos for people who are a bit, let's say, not as savvy... and just need a little push in the right direction. Thanks again... and keep the help coming Mr. MJ. 👽🖖
Thanks so much for the kind words. I’m very glad that you find the videos helpful. Falcon BMS is a complicated simulator and certainly takes a far amount of time and effort to even begin to utilize it. Keep at it, and best of luck!
Thanks for this. I have the MFD's extracted in DCS to 2 Amazon Fire tablets behind thrustmaster MFD frames. I couldn't find anything for doing that in BMS on YT except Helios tutorials. I even asked the question on how to set this up on Falconlounge discord when 4.36 dropped & got zero response, so I never played it. The MFD size to fit the Thrustmaster frame is 800x800, for anyone wondering.
@@mainejason Worth mentioning the player needs to have "set g_bExportRTTTextures" set to '1' in falcon bms.cfg file or the exported screens will be blank.
Thanks Mr. MJ ... that has a great tutorial and answered my questions perfectly..... but I do have 1 question remaining. BTW... let me apologize if this is not the proper way to use this comment section... I am somewhat new to using it. The question... if I may... can one unlock the right and left smaller screens in order to just drag and drop the screen where you want and need them? That would save allot of pixel calculations. FYI I have 2 smaller monitors which will act as my MDF's ( monitor/screen : 3 and 4 ) . Thanks again
Thank you for the comment - I am very glad you found it helpful and you got things working. As for your question: there is no native provision to edit the window sizes by dragging. A free, 3rd party tool was developed to help with this back during 4.35 - it does still work with the current BMS version with a little work. I am making a tutorial on how to use it now. Stay tuned! Again, thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!
Hey, thanks for the comment. I don't really know anything about modding the RWR, but I would probably search through the BMS Forum - there are some knowledgeable folks in there. Thanks for watching!
I don't have any experience with Helios. I know there are some lengthy tutorials on RUclips, but if I ever try it out, I'll consider making one. Thanks for watching!
When I use the RTT client in BMS I get into game but the screens are black and do not show the MFDs. Does anyone know some possible fixes or reasons for this? Edit: Nevermind just saw your pinned comment. Thankyou
Wow man, I'm Brazilian, my English is not so good, but you speak so clearly that I could understand without subtitles. Great Tutorial.....but I have a issue here. I did everything like you but when I enter the SIM, the 2 MFD starts to load then go black. Found the issue: set g_bExportRTTTextures 1 (was 0 here) set g_nRTTExportBatchSize 2
Thank you! I'm glad you got what you needed from the video. I am upset that I forgot to mention the ExportRTTextures parameter in the video - I did make note of it in the video description. I did not need to make any edits to the RTTExportBatchSize - but if it is working for you, excellent. Great job on figuring those issues out on your own! Thanks for watching!
I have a f16 simpit and I use a second pc for mfd left and right and I have a problem that the mfd freeze after a few minutes and most noticebly in the harm mission. I found that the developers worked on a bms bug in 4.35 version but apparently the bug is here again in 4.37 update 2
@@mainejason The bug war reported in 2020 and personally managed by Max Waldorf and it was fixed. But I wonder if the bug is here again after the recent updates...Anyone else having this freeze?

Excellent - very glad to hear it!

Good catch! I knew there was something I forgot to add. I'll throw that into the description- thank you!

This is how you make a tutorial. Subscribed.
Glad it was useful to you. Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching!
Thank you so much for awesome video. I wonder ,how can we use our own RWR picture? I can use RWR grid, but I want to use my own RWR picture?

I'm having same issue. My MFDs very choppy
I solved this by not using MFD on a remote pc, but on the main pc wher bms runs. Problem soved@@chadlife1972
