Keep in mind if your strut mounts are blown out it could be because your struts are bad, so check those and replace them if needed.
This is how to replace Mini Cooper upper strut mount or mounts without having to take the struts off of the car. Most people take the strut off of the Mini Cooper to replace the upper strut mount bushing, and I'm not sure why they do this. The strut towers are mushroomed on this 2004 Mini Cooper S also, but that can be fixed.
