Fam, just a friendly little suggestion here. Make sure your spring from the tensioner isn't bouncing around as that could indicate that it is in need of a replacement. I had the same thing happen to my car with the Idler Pulley. Weeks later the Tensioner went bad and had to once again buy another belt, and a new tensioner :)
Chuck Chuck Yes it could, however I would suggest checking your power steering fan as when those go bad, they cause a loud rattle and could be mistaken by something internal.
@@VendettaVC you might need to replace the chain tensioner, if the ticking is from the left side of the engine, it might be the internal timing chain. There is a hydrolic tensioner which you acces from the back of the engine. Its like a 30eu part. 5 minute job when you find the bolt.(hard to find going in from the top)

Good tip👍
Would this being faulty cause a loud rattle? I already replaced the arm rockers and timing chain tensioner. And my 06S has a loud ticking.

Harbor freights tool works just fine...
Make sure Coronavirus not back to you😂
Safe so far haha.
Why didn't you replace the tensioner like the title suggested? So dumb and such a waste of my time.
Title says nothing about tensioner replacement 😂
