- In this video we perform an experiment to see how alcohol influences on your shooting abilities. Žiga takes one for the team and becomes and Alcohol Operator for science.
After filming this video we have learned a very valuable lesson... that nobody can remember at this moment... but it's probably about not shooting while drunk or something like that.
Who cares about the final result, it's the journey that was the important part! :)

At first I was like: Yo, are they really gonna use firearms? This is kinda ballsy...
But when I saw they are going to use airsoft I was like: Mah man, safety first, full respect!
This was an amazing chilling session with Slovenian friends with some backyard science. Awesome. :)
But to be fair, Ziga is such an operator, that even that amount of alcohol can't stop him. Epic.

In most countries you can't just shoot on a private property if it's not a legally established shooting range, and if it is, it would be illegal to do so while intoxicated.

My dad used to do this experiment all the time when I was growing up. Things like shooting drunk, driving us to school drunk, teaching us how to make martinis for him drunk, you know that sort of thing

I have done incredible life changing accomplishments while drunk in video games. IMO you can play better after drinking if your mechanics are top-tier (muscle memory). Loss of cautiousness but all loss of fear/hesitation. Basically makes you game like a kid again, can be good and bad.
@@PolenarTactical That’s because you’ve had too much/been drunk for too long, if you take 4-5 shots at once and did it no longer than an hour from the first drink you’d have insane reaction times too, but it’s a tiny window.
Decided to use an airsoft gun and even while drunk he still treated it like a live firearm. Always cleared chamber and kept the muzzle pointed in the right direction. Thank you for driving responsibly.
Airsoft invalidates test with poor accuracy at best
@@luislongoria6621 yet somehow he kept getting better scores as he went despite the course getting wetter and the temp dropping throughout the test (which can affect the psi)
it proves that training & muscle memory is the most important thing when it comes to any gun use, even airsoft.

I think it’s important to note that times and scores were slightly better when he was just buzzed. We should all strive to be buzzed 24/7, to maintain state of best equilibrium and ability.

That was actually a lot of fun, but at the same time really interesting to see how litte darkness and booze affected Žiga's accuracy and fundamentals. Yeah, reaction times and movement were slower, but those were some nice hits man. 👍

In my police academy class we did a similar test, no firearms, just coordination, but we tested an experienced drinker and a casual drinker. Experienced drinkers develop compensating techniques to maintain balance and some coordination. Because of this, an experienced drinker can appear sober at much higher blood alcohol levels.

It was interesting to watch myself on video. The second to last run i was full aware of everything, was still able to concentrate and do the shooting part properly.
But on the last shooting tests that we did i was already so drunk that i don't remember any of it. It's like it never happened.
So im not sure how but it seems that my brain went into autopilot mode and i was shooting from muscle memory :O
@@PolenarTactical that's exactly it! Did you also develop tunnel vision, focusing on the task and losing the surroundings? Your shooting was pretty much spot on, but your reaction times slowed dramatically, showing that you were expending energy on the focus! But even drunk as a skunk, lol, your skills are formidable 🤣

I’m Polish. Let’s say I am an experienced drinker :D (I am not alcoholic but can drink a lot). Most people are unable to tell when I’m drunk - the American sobriety tests I can go through with ease - including going backwards with alphabet (in Polish - English gets me confused). I can do a swallow when riding on in line skates, completely drunk :D

@@PolenarTactical I've seen an airsoft bb stuck in a friends chin from a close range shot at a skirmish. I've also seen another friend lose half a tooth. Eye protection is a minumim and many sites in the UK would prefer if you wear a facemask. :)

He had a police officer testing his reaction times as he consumed more and more alcohol. To the officers chagrin, the more alcohol consumed, the faster the reaction time!*

A study was done of this 40-50 years ago. College research on effects of alcohol on performance. They took a bunch of college kids to the trap/skeet range and had them shoot clay pigeons with shotguns. They all did better after one drink. With two drinks things started to get a little worse and after three and four performance was horrible.
That's interesting. I have heard some anecdotal evidence that alcohol was considered as an enhancement "drug" at shooting competitions in the past but i have never heard of an actual study done in this field.

Love the banter. I talk like this with my friends even though I am gay, I don't see why people get so offended! Its just jokes and banter, if you are offended then it shows you aren't comfortable being gay or feel insecure. If someone making jokes makes you all triggered it isn't anyone's problem but your own.

We got a couple of comments about the video being homophobic and at first i was quite defensive but nevertheless it made me think.
Our intention was never to offend anyone, it's just how we always joked around from when we were young.
The alcohol just helped relax our normal filter.
But as you see we make jokes out of everything, the French, nazis and communists, and especially ourselves :)

The second test was so good BECAUSE of alcool yes alcool give you confidence so your better in anything in one certain level of blood in your veins. Because confidence= zero stress= focus !
