The Magical Quest starring Mickey Mouse was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. The game features Mickey
Mouse traveling in a strange land ruled by the evil emperor Pete, searching for his dog Pluto. With the help of a wizard, Mickey sets out to find
his friend and stop Pete's tyranny.
Unlike its sequels, the first game in the series lacks the ability to save or load progress (which means players would have the beat the game in a
single sitting), and although it supports two players, they cannot play simultaneously; a player only gains control when the other dies.
Mickey's outfits in this game include: a magician outfit, which enables him to shoot magic; a firefighter uniform that enables him to continually
spray water; and mountain-climbing gear that gives him a grappling hook that can attach to certain surfaces and objects. When wearing the magician
or firefighter outfits, Mickey's magic and water abilities are limited, and must be recharged by collecting magic lamps and fire hydrants.
MORE COMMENT: Whilst the Genesis/Megadrive received The Illusion series, Super Nintendo fans got The Capcom touch and during their golden era of platforming we get this simple tale of Mickey Mouse saving a magical land and his best friend Pluto from Emperor Pete, the suits make this game memorable. -

This is one of the best games I've ever played in the SNES! If they decided to make a remastered version of this, I'd totally buy it in a heartbeat.
Thanks, Capcom :')
The Magic Turban was always my favorite outfit in this game. There's nothing quite like the feeling of giving your adversaries "The Finger". lol
Dont you just love boss fights that take forever?
And then to find out it was all a dream....
I remember it all.... What a kick in the nuts....
omg between the CAPCOM intro to the gameplay
I am suffering from nostalgic overload
Used to love this game when I was a kid. Ah the nostalgia.
loved this game back then
I used to love the different suits, especially the fireman. Only other game that comes into mind is the totally underrated and completely overlooked Plok.
I like the way Goofy says he'll find him then heads in the opposite direction.
Played this back in the day. Great memories of this one.Mostly of dying awfully often though.
I still find myself humming the music in this game lol 20 years later
I get so much nostalgia when I see this, I used to play this all the time when I was little, the music for each level was so great and the backgrounds were so colorful I just wanted to keep on playing it
man this brings back memmories holy moly! I love it!
I literally played and beat this game today. I feel really stupid not knowing where the other hearts were. I beat it with only 4 which made it a little rough. As a kid I thought the game was really hard, now I realize that I just sucked.
I remember getting this game with Starwing and Super G'n'G as part of a SNES bundle back in 1993, awesome game.
You mean Star Fox?
Starwing was the UK title for Starfox.
@@LeShark75 yeah
Some of the oufits seen in this game remind me of the other Capcom titles: The Turban oufit represents Mega Man (Rock Man) and the mountain climber's outfit represent Bionic Commando.
If I were rich I would pay endless amounts of money for someone to make an HD remake
Let's kickstart that shit!
The firefighter outfit was my favorite 🙂
I believe this is the only one in the 3 game series to force you to hurry along with a timer. Plus you can see how the series progressed, each game looked and sounded a little better than the prior one. The memory of this one I have is my deceased cousin renting this, and he and I finding the game a cakewalk as I beat it on my first try. Easy yes, but oh so much fun.
Ah, when life was easy as a kid...
I noticed a difference here from the previous LP... Parazzing didn't show where the hearts were and Tarosan was nice enough to show off where the hearts WERE.
whenever I beat a boss I paralyzed myself just like Mickey lol
Oh man, this is so nostalgic :')
Memories... :,)
The Third One may be the best one, but this one is my favorite.
Just seeing that thumbnail of the shop in the game brought back a rush of warm memories. This game got some good-but-not-amazing reviews at the time, but I really loved it. Lots of great detail. Underrated and I feel somewhat forgotten. The music's great too. The opening cutscene music is burned into my mind! I searched for this game after seeing an image for a new unrelated Mickey game and I started humming that tune without realising it. :p
Thanks... Almost cried watching it all. I forgot how smart I was back when I was a little kid. My daughter shall play this someday. Thanks again!
The ability to save your progress on almost every game didn't really catch on until the later generation consoles. The NES, SNES, and SEGA Genesis had RPG and a few others that allowed you to save but they used a watch battery that was soldered onto the cartridge's circuit board and unless you were good with a soldering iron you were screwed when that battery died.
The good old days. The disney games from Capcom were like the best games on the damn market! What happened to you Disney and Capcom... what happened.
I played the shit out of this with my stepbrother back in the 90s. Good times.
i really enjoyed this game when i was growing up, and i still do its a great platformer. we need to have games like this on the wii virtual console... but i doubt we'll ever see it, since nintendo doesn't seem to care.
played this a lot on my snes back in the days
other than not being to save your progress in any way this game is wonderful
i always played this game when i was child its my favorite game :D
@TheEdenEye I did in fact miss 1 heart container sadly.
SNES graphics are bloody unbeatable.
I miss this epic season of my fucked up life.
It's his right knee, he's squatting or something like that, because he is much taller than Mickey. Just like many grown-ups do when they talk to little kids. His posture is really uncomfortable looking, though XD
You didn't in all honesty expect something NOT innocent in a videogame made for kids? O_o
Did you miss a heart container somewhere along the way? Or was 9 the max?
They took alot of "Mario's" sound effects and elements lol. But this was still a great game!
Loved this game, but the way how this weird wizard there is always so HAPPY to see Mickey still disturbs me to this day. I mean look at that uhmm.. bulge in those robes.. or what is that supposed to be? Tell me it's something unintentional and innocent.. I need closure! D:
Man this game is a classic
my childhood game
mickey mouse meets super ghosts n' goblins
Press start damnit!
god - i remember this back in the day, like 1996 i think lol long time ago
my children someday will play this. They need to know what real games are
I love the Breath of Fire style music!
i remember killing pete much faster with powered up magic beam. it's fun watching it all over again =D
I've always preferred using the water from the fire hose, just like this guy does...
@@mikekelley2877 I thought it was the best one too, but turns out a full powered up magic beam chops Pete's life so quickly it makes him look like an early boss, also fun fact: if you kill the magic torchs with the magician's outfit, it will drop its ammo instead of the firefighter one, which makes the battle even easier.
such a nice game
The guy playing this has an odd fascination with drowning himself, other than that, still an awesome game, as good as it was 20 years ago.

8:35 WTF, do you really need to?
Such a great f game. Not a cakewalk.
should b on the virtual console ~ thnxs crew cubex
There were moments where he made me smh and some I though: Why is he taking that unnecessary risk? (that's how he lost one life) But all in all, it was good gameplay. I have a SNES and I thought about buying the game, but it doesn't seem worth it if you can beat it under an hour.
Yes ❤️
Wish this game would port on switch
There is something about Disney....:)....really Good Made Figures and Characters.:D
This Game Looks Great.
*lol* oh i kinda hated that game as a child... XD
Saw this game being played in a porn once. Really.

AMIGO LINK MEDIAFIRE
Honestly, I despise Disney, and loathe Mickey Mouse, but, and this is credit to Capcom more likely than anything else, the music in this game is incredible, superb, stirring, moving, the kind of thing I can REEAAALLLY listen to on mushrooms.
Honestly, this could be a great symphony, and the sound effects from the game as I am typing. Whoooloolooo.. SHIT. I guess Mickey died. serves him right! Interrupting the great music. (No shit, real typing time
@finly42 idk but thats why alice in wonderland sucks
I want to say I remember beating this game. It all looks so familiar.
Fun, hard and terrible music-_-
