    It appears you bought a Devil's Ivy. They're tough. Will give and give. Off cuts can be put in water and they will survive this way, and grow. The other one looks like a Peace Lily ... dark leaves do better in low light. They are air purifiers too. Suggest you purchase a moisture guage as over watering is the main culprit leading up to 'death by overcare'. Remember room heating dries the soil out more. Keep away from the wood fire. Suggest a slow release fertiliser (organic is best). If you come across a Snake Plant, another air cleaner, and indestructible. They're those upright architectural looking plants. Jade. Anything with thicker leaves are mostly human resistent. Enjoy 🌱

  • @debbieporges7566
    @debbieporges7566 3 года назад +2

    Hey Cecilia, good choice in the indoor plants. They look quite hardy to me. very important not to overwater, particularly in Winter when they aren't growing. Put your finger in the pot to check if it needs water. if the soil is wet or damp leave it. Occasionally you can spray the leaves or wipe them with a little water to get the dust off to keep the leaves healthy. Oh and another thing- don't let water sit in the bottom of the outside(decorative) pot. Let it drain in the shower or sink before you put it back in the outside pot. Hope this helps :)

  • @ana21231
    @ana21231 3 года назад +5

    Not sure if anyone else recommended this already, you can purchase a manually operated washing machine. They’re really small and consume little water. And you can use that for your gym clothes, etc. ☺️

  • @marieleelee
    @marieleelee 3 года назад +18

    Have you considered getting a portable washing machine for you work out gear? There are some that don't use that much water and you can hang dry your clothes afterwards. They also tend to be small so you can maybe store it away somewhere out of sight. I'm getting one soon because I live in an apartment that constantly has water shut offs lol🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    Christoffer's hat is EPIC! :)
    I feel like you need a small bridge to get over that last hill approaching to your car. haha!
    Love the plants ~ I talk to mine & they seem to thrive. (I know I'm weird.) And, they give good oxygen for my condo. :)

    Absolutely beautiful views of the country. Thanks for sharing your story with us that are your fans. Eloquently done by a master of style. That's the way things go sometime. Cold weather conditions and the winter is almost here also. USA.

    Hi guys, Svalbard seems to be a really cool place to live, and it's getting cooler by the day at this time of year...(dad joke). I should say that what you need in the steep slope at the car is a "landscaping staircase". You simply lay down two long 2x8 boards down the slope standing on their sides, connect them with 3 feet long boards across at approximately 2 feet apart (also standing on their sides) and then you fill the voids in between with rock and gravel (after you have made a 4 feet wide shallow "channel" without any big rocks where the boards go and with a somewhat even grade. And after you have filed the stairs on the inside also remember to back fill the channel along the outside to make it extra sturdy). If you buy pressure treated wood and build it so the snowplow doesn't reach the top stars, they should last you forever (more or less), and it's not a difficult/expensive stair type to build either, all you really need is a hand saw, a spirit level and a cordless drill with a bit that fits the long wood screws you use to connect the boards... 👍😁

      It´s practical, easy to build and melt in good with the environment. The only problem might be the snow 🤔😂

      They are not permitted to build on the tundra. There are strict rules about land there and they have maxed out the permitted space with the cabin extension.

    Loving your videos Cecilia!
    The farty crocodile was too cute - and I had to laugh at Grim taking him apart. Our dog takes out all the stuffing to get to the squeaky thing inside. No toys last 🤣
    Another great video, thank you.
    PS: we bought fake plants for our kitchen as we can’t keep them alive - good luck with your real one 😊

    Some plants can grow with only regular house light like peace lilies or spider plants. But of course everything does better with grow lights!

      No problem! I also think they are important! Auto subs on instagram hasn't come to europe yet and it would bo too time consuming to do it manually. But when we get the feature I will use it all the time! 😊

    I knew it was Royal Canine. I have fed that to my dogs before. So, that is the only food that your vet sells? Makes sense being so secluded. Good food!!!
