Welcome to a WEEK in my life in Longyearbyen, the world's northernmost town. I have tons of things to do this week so we are heading into the village to get my passport done, to go skiing, grocery shopping etc. OH and by the way - the snowstorms are still here! I love seeing Grim! I lost my dog on Thursday after 17 years he was put down so kinda emotional but seeing Grim has put a smile on my face ❤

Hi Cecilia. I really enjoy your videos so much. I am an Italian/American New Yorker, Long Island, living in South Carolina. The Hilton Head area. I miss the snow and the cold weather so much. You, Christoffer and Grimm are such a happy little family. You have a really nice life. You inspire me to do so many things in my home as well. I lost my husband almost 6 years ago. He was of Norwegian descent. He was gorgeous inside and out. His people are from Bergen. I miss him so much. I love to see how close you and Christoffer are. It warms my heart. I'm fascinated by taking your boots off during the passport and medical visits - it makes perfect sense to avoid tracking snow everywhere, but it was so unexpected to me to see you walking around a government office and the dentist's in your socks!
I was thinking the same thing! Is it “normal” to do that in public spaces ? Obviously to not track in snow but yeah, how fascinating!

I did it in shops and museums. Very odd for my feet. Only do it at home.

I know what you mean. I started watching this channel in September and it has totally changed my views on winter. I got some snowshoes and I am loving being outside. Seeing Cecilia find fun in the polar night is inspiring me to find beauty in the winter.
Me too, this channel has truly helped me to find more beauty in winter and I know it sounds a little over the top but that has honestly changed my life. I used to hide behind winter as the reason for feeling bad, being sad, not getting enough exercise etc... And I've stopped doing that.

Is learning Norwegian Language a must for finding a job, especially jobs in IT ?
Read in some sources that it can be tough to make friends in Norway in general.
As a Non EU zone citizen (Australian) what would you say is the best way to find a job , find it online and then move ?
Do companies prefer Norwegian people over other ethnicities ?
Cecilia has said in her videos that people from all over the world live in Svalbard and most of them speak english.
