- Experience Lagoon's Roller Coaster in a different perspective with this back left cam mounted POV & see some of the day and night theming this coaster has to offer including th light up 100 sign celebrating that Roller Coaster has been around for 100 years of fun @lagoonamusementpark.
Roller Coaster originally called "Lagoon Dipper", the name has also changed several times to "Silver Coaster" and also at one point it was called "Giant Roller Coaster". Today it's just called "Roller Coaster" some have nicknamed it "White Roller Coaster" as the structure looked different years ago as the wood was painted white. This was to treat the wood for weather and other factors which did take a extra step and cost additional money. Today Lagoon Amusement Park can buy wood brown wood that is already pre treated so I no longer needs to be painted white.
The "Roller Coaster" has been around since the year the park opened in 1921 and is the 7th oldest wooden roller coaster in the world.

We used to call it the white roller coaster of death when I was a teenager because of how rickety it was, glad it’s still holding strong after all these years

I’ve been watching you since 2016 when you were death by the illlsion
That's awesome! Thank you!
I just went there today lol
I wish Roller Coaster still had more of its classic features such as unrestrictive restraints, skid brakes, and white color scheme, but I’m happy the coaster is still around.
I agree. The Millennium Flyer trains I don't like the top heavy lapbars where it tightens down on you as you ride so you don't get that good airtime you used to. You basically have to kind of how to use your hands to keep the lap bar up off your lap the whole time to try to get that air time like you used to.
I do remember sometimes though the lapbar would randomly kind of like pop-up during the ride. I mean I wasn't really worried cuz I wasn't trying to like stand up or anyting.
Because before like old coasters used to not even really have restraints and it was just a bar you would hold onto.
Also because the trains are lighter it's a little bit of a slower ride.
I remember back in the day those two last turns in the ride used to not be banked so it was a little more of an intense ride because you got those lateral G's but it was definitely harder on the coaster.
But yes I do miss the white color scheme and I still call it the white roller coaster.
It's kind of funny how they just use a generic name for the ride it's weird that it had I think some better names for it back in the day which I don't know why they changed the name a couple times.
I wonder how the ride is now that it's been rebuilt and has the new trains.....
It looks great....
Honestly it's a little slower that the trains are lighter then the PTC trains and the new lapbars are top heavy so it tightens down as you ride so you don't get that good airtime like you used to.
@@AttractionSpot gotcha.....I was just wondering cause I used to work there and work on the rides and stuff.....i was one of the ppl one the crew as well that built cannibal along with maintaining the rides in my team's roster
@@charlesleija1377 thats super cool!
Thank you.....it was a super cool job let me tell you...
Broo i was there that day
What day was that?
I wonder how many more years it’ll last, it’ll probably get demolished before it turns 200 years old in 2121 lol 😂
I wonder what’s it going to be like when it turns 200 years old in 2121 lol
😂 But hopefully not a RMC.
