I love it "If you have a twist, it's oh kay....but it's not fabulous." My new mantra for the day. Love your videos Mikey and everyone at the crochet crowd. I recommend them to all my friends...beginners and advanced. I would not be crocheting if you hadn't made your videos. THANK YOU!!1!
I love how you explain the steps you're very thorough also I love the fact that a guy is crocheting I'll be darned if I could ever get my husband to crochet but it's really cool that you do ! you're one of my favorite channels to watch. And I follow along with you all the time crocheting !
Even when I'm not following along, I watch your videos. I've seen so many of them, it's like checking in with an old friend. :) Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. I can not follow a pattern at all, so these videos have taught me SO much I otherwise would not have known.
Thanks so much for this; I actually completed my first ever project after several WIP starters and I LOVE my new slouchy. The video was clear, simple, well edited and I'm totally chuffed!
Just finished my slouchy beanie and I love it. I posted a picture of it on my fb page and now more people are asking me to make them one. Thanks Micky!!!
This worked out well! Thank you! I made the hat and it fits and it looks nice and your directions were spot on and easy to follow. I appreciate your time!
Thanks so much for this l lovely pattern❣I've made quite a few now and now have it "filed" away in my brain, on auto-pilot after making the 6th one...😉 It's such a great looking item when finished; a definite favourite for all time 👌🙂🌻
Hi Mickey, I love that you give a "GREAT TECHNIQUE" for making a perfect edge. It seems like a small tip, but this is HUGE if one makes hats all of the time. I'm I correct in assuming this technique of turning ones work and going under the back bump will work for the first row of anything in the round?
Thanks for the tutorial! I did good until the end; think I was tired. The final couple of rows of mine ended up different but its ok. I now have a slouchy hat and I love it! Gonna make another one! :-)
I really like Mickeys instructions, but I couldn't see his hands on this video the camera was too low, did manage to get one made will make more, I also was able to crochet a puppy coat for a tiny dog thanks to Mickey, even made one with scraps of yarn and called it his coat of many colors. Thanks Mickey
Looking for tips from anyone who has made this, and has a larger head... Mine's 23.5" and his is 21", so will an extra 5 chains do the trick or would I need 10?
hi, do you have a tutorial slouchy for a teenage/ adult? have problems finding one also looking for slouchy pokemon.I found it difficult finding this one please help
Hi Mikey, I love this pattern but I'm trying to get the pattern. Think link you posted above only go to a picture. I tried looking on your page but it shows the same thing. Please assist. Thank you
I say, make your own. start with a chain in multiples of 5, just like adjusting the hat size ( making it an infinity scarf). you could either not do the brim or do the brim at both ends, that could be cute. just use the body of the hat as your pattern for the body of the scarf. work it until you have your desired length. if you aren't comfortable starting the pattern on the chain you could do one row of either single or half double crochet as a broader and then do the same on the other side when you've got your desire length. and remember there will be NO decreasing!!! hope this helps! happy crocheting
I made it but it doesn't look slouchy from any side. I don't know is there a problem with my crochet because I used exactly same size wool and colour also.. not even it fit my head properly
M. Jadoon Your stitches might be too tight, it took me several years to be able to loosen mine up. Maybe change how you hold your hook and yarn! That’s what helped me! It may feel odd at first, but it gets easier the more you do it.
I made the hat and love it. The back of the slouchy ended up a little different, but it looks great. It was very difficult to see your stitch work. Directions a bit too fast and few. I love the things you make but rarely try a vid of yours. Very difficult to follow. No number of rows given. Minimal specifics given very quickly. Disappointed I can't do more of your videos. Appreciate the "tips". I am going to try another of these in a different color. Hopefully the second won't be as frustrating. I cannot get the yarn you used so used 100% cotton.
I love the hat and really want to try and make one. However, you went a little too fast for me. Your movements are too quick for me to actually see what your doing. Guess I will go look at your pattern and try to make one from that. I have looked at your other videos and love your work. I just can't follow you, lol. Your too fast for this chick ;-)
I know this is old, but I see this complain ALL the time on crochet tutorials, either too slow or too fast and all a person needs to do is adjust the speed on the video, up or down.
LOVE!!!! Thank you!!! I seriously could crochet with you all day!
Watched your video with my 10 yr old granddaughter. She loves it and we are going to make one today. Thank you for making it so simple. :)

I've made a few of these as gifts. Thanks for the tutorial.

Love this hat, I may begin with a chainless half double crochet for more stretch.
Kathleen Randall How do you do that? I need more stretch too.
This worked out well! Thank you! I made the hat and it fits and it looks nice and your directions were spot on and easy to follow. I appreciate your time!

Thanks for the tutorial! I did good until the end; think I was tired. The final couple of rows of mine ended up different but its ok. I now have a slouchy hat and I love it! Gonna make another one! :-)
Fabulous! 😊
Personally I prefer bulkier stitching... could I do the same pattern but with a 5mm hook? Great video!
Yes you can! But you will need to change the stitching counts to do that. I haven't done that myself to give you an idea how many stitches to remove.
www amazing i like it 😘😘
i would like to make
thank you so much
Qaali Nuura , were are the patterns
Hey mikey! Mine isnt as slouchy as I would like. Could I just do an extra row of each before starting the decrease? Thanks!
Do you guys have any tutorials for weeding gift ideas?
What type of yarn can be substituted for Schachenmayr yarn? Any frugal yarns that work as well?
I never have the recommended yarns so I usualy substitute it with red heart yarn
I really like Mickeys instructions, but I couldn't see his hands on this video the camera was too low, did manage to get one made will make more, I also was able to crochet a puppy coat for a tiny dog thanks to Mickey, even made one with scraps of yarn and called it his coat of many colors. Looking for tips from anyone who has made this, and has a larger head... Mine's 23.5" and his is 21", so will an extra 5 chains do the trick or would I need 10?
I would increase my hook size by 1 step up.
Have you/would you ever do this with 100% cotton yarn? Just wondering because that's tricky yarn to find, and it's expensive on Amazon.
The yarn I used is discontinued and was independent yarn (higher end). You could do inexpensive yarns too.
Great i was already holding my 3.75 hook
Lol me on my mom's accout... I'm gonna actually attempt to make this but 5.00 mm hook
I tried to use the website to find hat patterns but couldn't get anywhere off of the home page.
Mickey, for those of us who can’t find the yarn that you’re using, what yarn weight is it?
can any one tell how many row did he do before he started decrease
Okay Mikey how do you keep the back bump from twisting? I have attempted this and frogged each one.... Help

Hi Mikey, I love this pattern but I'm trying to get the pattern. Think link you posted above only go to a picture. I tried looking on your page but it shows the same thing. Please assist. Thank you
I'm having a hard time finding cotton blended yarn. Do you think I could use the 100% cotton yard for this?
lannirockmom I did and it worked great.
I would like to make a match scarf for this. do you have a pattern?

I love this pattern but somehow I keep twisting it on the first row of dbl crochets can any one help me out.
Is this yarn considered a double knitted yarn ?
I made it but it doesn't look slouchy from any side. I don't know is there a problem with my crochet because I used exactly same size wool and colour also.. not even it fit my head properly
M. Jadoon Your stitches might be too tight, it took me several years to be able to loosen mine up. Maybe change how you hold your hook and yarn! That’s what helped me! It may feel odd at first, but it gets easier the more you do it.
How many rows do you crochet ?

May I ask how many inches around your noggin is? I have a larger cranium haha!
My head is 21" circumference. :D
@@TheCrochetCrowd Thank you! Mines' 23.5 so will an extra 5 chains do the trick, or should I do 10 extra?
😌
