  • In this video, Tracy talks about when embalming isn't possible and ways to work around embalming a body that is badly decomposed. In Australia, embalming is only done under certain circumstances - if a body is repatriated to another country, buried in an above ground vault or crypt, if the body is going home for a few days, or if the funeral can't be held for a few weeks after death. Even when a traditional embalm isn't possible, there are other measures a mortician can take to help preserve the body.
