I lost a brother to suicide and so when I’m embalming a deceased who has died this way, My heart breaks for the ones left behind. It’s definitely on the rise in Ireland. I think the human instinct is to live but if someone wants to die I think they have some kind of brain storm. The pain is too much and they want it to stop. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. A heartbreaking subject but a vital one. Thanks for taking about this ❤
We are so sorry for your loss Evecyn, and thank you for the amazing work you do. We hope it brings you peace knowing you can help other families when they need it most. Sending big hugs xx
You covered this so sensitively Thank you. I have lost 3 close friend's as well as my twin brother to suicide. All within six years. Nothing is more soul crushing and my heart goes out to anyone who has had too endure this heartache my brother was 33 and passed in 2001 and my friends were all under 30. Processing this grief is so difficult but reach out for help if you need it . Huge hug's to everyone 💙
Nice video! My first suicide was an 87 year old man who was depressed that his family put him in an assisted living place. He had dressed himself up, sat on his front porch, and shot himself in the head. We figured he dressed up for whomever was to find him. Suicide is very sad all around. Again, great video for such a sad discussion. 🖤
Hi lovely, It is so very sad, always breaks my heart when I hear of another suicide coming in 🥺 I find men from 70ish years old to 90ish nearly always use a gun 🤷♀️ so very tragic. Thank you for sharing your story, take care 😊💚💚
My brother decided to hang himself from a tree in his back yard. Daddy found him. It was June 28, our mommas birthday. There’s a lot of anger, because he KNEW he could talk to me. A lot of questions that will never be answered. You gals do a great job❤️❤️❤️
I know I didn't talk to anyone prior to attempting as I didn't want to be stopped. I think when people get serious, they aren't that likely to talk to people who would try to stop them. At that point you don't want help to keep living, you want to go through with it.
Thank you for this video. As I have shared before, my 30 year old son took his own life July 27-22. Not expecting something like this to ever happen. I hope people will reach out if they are needing help.. I miss my son 😔 😢 😪
It's so bloody hard 😔 and so tragic. You will forever miss him 🥺 wish we could say something to help, just know we are sending you our very best and truly hope you are ok and looking after yourself 🌹💚💚
I would think the holidays for some people remember loved ones that are no longer here and they start feeling alone. The sound of Christmas carols can bring back memories of family that make people sad...wishing they could bring back old times. I myself can get very down around the holiday season even though I have family around me but I have many in Heaven. Seeing homeless people and seeing the animals in shelters needing homes can get anyone in tears!! Thank you both for this topic...no one should EVER feel there's no one to talk to...
Hi Nancy, so very true it can be a struggle for lots of us this time of year. Please try and stay positive over the holiday season, we know how hard it is with them special people missing from our tables this time of year. We both hope you have a wonderful Christmas & a happy New year. Take good care sending hugs 💚💚
It isn’t just that. That’s one aspect of it for sure. Probably the most common. Another one is lifestyle choices. There are so many people whose family have abandoned or disowned them because of things like who they fell in love with or they changed their choice of religion. All of that weighs on people too. I had a friend who died from suicide because his family didn’t like the fact that he was a part of the LGBTQ community. Hearing his father say that he no longer had a son absolutely ruined his soul.
I'm at a loss for words, I don't want to say in a good way because that feels like I'm minimizing this somehow, but your compassion is something else. I almost took my life at 8 and again at 12. I've almost lost people close to me to it, too. A few years back, now, around this time of year, a young man jumped off a car park behind the building I was in and tragically passed away. I appreciate you putting yourselves through such a sensitive topic because there's a weird level of closure there for me. I never wanted to impose on his family's grief, but knowing whoever looked after him probably treated him with that level of care makes me feel a little more at ease.
Oh my goodness you moved me to tears. What a heart breaking story of yourself and others you mentioned 🥺😔 always always know someone somewhere is there for you ❤️ please take very good care of yourself we both send you lots of love and hugs 💚💚
I'm a retired FD, embalmer, & autopsy tech in the U.S. & have witnessed the stigmatization of suicides. It's an awkward subject to discuss in a forum, & incredibly awkward with families. Great subject.
Thanks Squalli, it is a very difficult one. Thank you for your service to the industry over the years. We are sure you have eased the suffering for many. Enjoy your well-earned retirement! 🙂 💚
Thanks ladies! I’m a mental health nurse, and can confirm that this time of year can be so difficult , for so many people.😔 Thank you for drawing attention to this difficult subject.❤️
Thank you for the sensitivity with which you've addressed this topic! I really appreciate that you're raising awareness and also using the phrase "died from suicide" rather than the outdated and stigmatising alternative. Hope you both stay well through this season which can be challenging! Make time for self care. Much love! ❤
You two ladies are so compassionate and awesome. I’m sure your message will at least give someone something to think about if they’re having suicidal thoughts. Suicide affects more people than the average person thinks. I was in law enforcement years ago and was called to suicides and attempts. 40 years later and those memories never go away. Those poor families and friends are left with so many questions. I’ve even lost a few friends and acquaintances to suicide. God Bless you ladies.
Over here in the UK, it really does anger me to hear people saying 'he/she COMMITTED suicide', harking back to years past, when suicide was still illegal. I cringe when I hear this term, especially when family, loved ones and friends are being spoken to. It was refreshing to hear you ladies use the term 'died by suicide'...Thank you ❤
Yes your so right, we need to try and educate people to stop say committed. We still hear it a lot here too, I can't help myself but always correct someone who says that. Thanks for your comments take care 😊💚😙
@@AreyoudyingtoknowI'm a suicide survivor, and the the phrase "committed suicide" doesn't bother me personally. I will say that's what I tried to do, without any shame. I do get why the phrase isn't liked by many though.
In 73 I was in the room when my dad shot himself in the head after being knocked across the room. Blocked it all out til I had them open casket to put ring on his finger there was a bag with the pieces of his head where his head use to be. I have continuing nightmares and flashbacks. You never get over it
Oh gosh, how horrific. There are ways your exposure to the trauma could have been avoided, but maybe there were reasons why things were done the way they were.🌻 We hope you have sought some help to deal with this awful memory. We are so sorry 💜
Hi sweethearts. Such a sad subject that needs to talked about. Through my experiences with being a fireman and working with a funeral director, suicide to me was a long term solution to a short term problem. We had suicide of a 16 year boy having a problem with his 16 year old girlfriend. He shot himself in the head with a high power hunting rifle. He is dead for 31 years I believe. Dear God. Over a girlfriend who I am sure is living a happy normal life. This was a good topic with this video. I know of other cases that were 9, 11, 13 and 15. At this point I cannot bring speak of those cases now. Too much for me at this time. God bless.
Thank you for sharing that with us Michael. It's just devastating. And you are absolutely correct... The impact it has on those in the specialties that touch this subject is immeasurable. Such a burden to carry. We hope you have the support you need xx 💚
You were both so respectful in what was a sad topic that you, Tracey, get to witness the results of, probably far too often. And I was so happy that you both used the term “died by suicide” rather than the older and very judgemental “committed suicide” - a term that unfortunately is still used by some people - so hurtful to the family and friends of someone who has died by suicide. Thank you both. You are amazing, so warm and wonderful.❤️🌺
Once again girls, you knocked it out of the park. The way you are both able to give factual information, while still remaining in touch with your own human emotions, is something I hugely respect. I’ve not experienced suicide in my circle of family or friends, but I’m sure that for those who have, this video will give them the facts and the relief that might help them on their way to healing somewhat. As always, love from me and my family in the UK 🇬🇧
Wow, thank you for your very careful approach to this terrible subject, so many lives have been affected by this, but you both handled this with absolute respect and dignity, thank you both so much!
Thank you ladies for speaking on Suicide our yougest child at passed away via suicide at 18. He had been suffering mental health issues for about 5 years. Even today nearly 17 years on we still suffer from loosing him. Take care everyone.
Interestingly the season when I was attempting was around September to the end of November, as I was hospitalised at the end of November. Very tough few months. I was struggling with coming to terms with weight gain after ED recovery. I kept saying that I was passively unalival, but no one took me seriously until I had become actively and attempted. I know when you're just passive, it isn't an emergency but you still need to take it seriously as it can become active and you can potentially lose someone if it gets to that point, sometimes after spending a lot of energy keeping that person safe. Mental health services often won't give you much support in that unfortunately, hospital beds are like hen's teeth and many hospitals don't treat their patients well.
Thank you for making this video so sensitively. Thank you for raising awareness. I'm from the uk and it's really hard at the moment with the cost of living crisis. I'm heartbroken to know that there will be people out there, that will turn to suicide because of the crisis.
Hi Courtney, yes we agree it is so terrible sad 😔 we just wish & hope people seek out the help they need and I think if we could all be a bit kinder to others and ourselves it would help too. You take good care over the Christmas holidays and enjoy them all the best for 2023 let's hope it's a good year for many people 🥰💚
I used to be a sociology lecturer and I can confirm you're right about significant rises in both successful and attempted suicides in the month timeframe you noted. Theres actually a lot of academic papers and research around this.
Thanks for this video. I recently lost my best friends in the whole wide world. My dog on Dec 29,23. Then 3 weeks later, my mom on Jan 23,24. I've never felt so alone. And suicide did cross my mind. Have no kids or husband. Loneliness can be horrible. I did go to my dr for help and go to grief support group. And remind myself my mother would want me to keep living.
I thought you both approached this subject really sensitively & respectfully. I also thought it was wonderful to have to hand resources for the poor family. I didn’t realise you are able to signpost counsellor’s who address specific circumstances. You are absolutely right, that it’s a very difficult subject to discuss.
Thanks Joanna, unfortunately there are many out there who would like us to discuss in graphic detail particular circumstances but that is not what we are about. We really appreciate you watching 🙂
Thank you for raising awareness for this its.just heartbreaking that some people think it's the only solution. . Such a sad subject..but needs to be talked about. . Yes we all need to take care of each other. Take care everyone.
Thank you ladies for covering this topic. I have wanted to ask you questions and only now feel strong enough to. I lost my 30 yo son, in 2020. My family had no idea that he was dealing with an issue and could not bring himself to seek help from anyone. My question is - he was with the Coroner (State Mortuary) for several days. Would they have done the embalming? He looked like he had put much needed weight on in the chest area!We had the viewing / funeral 16 days after his passing. I was interested to learn how you follow up with families to see how they are coping. Our Funeral Director was one of those who arrange, send the bill .... bye.
Hi Sue, First we want to say we are truly sorry for the loss of your son and can not imagine the hurt you went through and still will be 😔 sending you our deepest condolences 🌹🌹 truly heartbreaking. Here in Australia the bodies would never be embalmed at the corners were autopsies take place with the pathologist. The funeral home will do the Embalming when we receive them into our care. Embalming can result in making the body look a little firmer and fuller. We have a policy in our funeral home that we contact the family a few weeks after the funeral to see how the family are doing and if ongoing support is needed especially in case of suicide and sudden deaths, if on going support is needed we give family support councillor to contact and guidance to the correct type of councillor. Then a few months down the line we like to catch up again to see how the family are travelling. Also we tell our family that we are here if they need to contact us at any time in the future. The funeral home I work for is very caring I prefer it here in the small family business than I did working for the big corporate company so much more personal. Please take really good care of yourself and we hope you always have support around you. Big hugs 💚💚
I'm in the US and our rate of suicide is about 1.7% of all deaths compared to 1.8% in Australia. That number surprised me as they talk about gun deaths in the US nonstop and usually don't mention that 55-60% of our gun deaths are suicides. I'm assuming the majority of suicides in Australia are not from guns, but in the US about 55% of suicides involve guns. It shows that when people want to end their life, they will find a way to do it, gun or no gun. Please listen when people talk, help your fellow humans out by getting help for those that need it.
Hi Eric, yes the death by suicide is far to high in both our country's. Mostly the preferred way here in hanging 😔 but I do get a fair share of dying by gunshot. It's the older men that tend to us the guns or the farmers 😔 We agree please be kind to each other and yourselves 🙏 you never know what a person is going through. Thank you for sharing that information, take care 💚💚
Not too sure if it’s the same thing, but Victoria has had voluntary assisted dying for some time now. Great video and discussion on a difficult topic ladies…..keep up the great work. Did you find that Covid lockdowns contributed to rise of suicides?
Thanks lovely, yes I thought one of the states has brought it in a while ago, QLD a bit behind but we are catching up. It's really hard to say if covid increase suicide rates, I have so many 🥺 it wouldn't surprise me if it did contribute. Thank you for your information take care 💚💚
Just an FYI for those in the states... The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a United States-based suicide prevention network of over 200+ crisis centers that provides 24/7 service via a toll-free hotline with the number 9-8-8. It is available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress. You are not alone, and there is someone there to talk with you.
G'day from Victoria I was wondering how bad suicide levels got when Covid hit and lock downs started. Here in Victoria it went through the roof thanks to Dan Andrews. I hate to think how many we had here. It was so bad some poor persons jumped of a hospital roof in Melbourne.
Hi, that's a tough one to answer. As we have some many suicides even before COVID. I don't know the official statics through them few years but I really didn't seem to see more or less. We wish and hope more people reach out if needing help 🙏 Thanks for your question take good care 💚
Good afternoon beautiful ladies Suicide is so sad. We have a lot of suicide here in the United States. So many commit suicide here that the general public never knows they died that way. We never know what someone else is going thru . Have a wonderful week.
I have just retired from the nhs after 45 years ( i worked in medical imaging) . Even in market towns you used to get a lot of suicide attempts turning up in the early evenings ( generally O.D.'s ) . So the ' successful ' suicides are sadly just the tip of very large pyramid of unhappiness ✌️🕊️
Hey TnT very delicate topic tho 2 to 3 a week and that's just your experience alone. The statistics across Australia must be horrendous. Luv ya work ladies you're truly amazing. xx
My grandmother committed suicide. She poisoned my grandfather and on the day , about 2 weeks later , they were going to exhume him , she shot herself. My dad found her . I attended the funeral of one of my best friends today , a 50 year friendship , she had dementia. She looked so good .
Vouluntary assisted dying is coming to South Australia in January 2023 for eligible people who are suffering from a terminal illness to choose the manner and timing of their death. lots of tight regulation to be eligible , I believe as of 1st January the VAD (Vouluntary assisted dying) will be available also to Queensland
As a nurse, its been my experience that one of the things that is really hard for families is to know what and how much to tell people. Families need support and get asked many many questions about the death. It's one of the first things people ask when we hear someone has passed "What did he/she die of?" It's a seemingly innocent question asked to demonstrate interest/connection but can be hard for families to know how to answer. Families need the support/understanding best given when people know the truth, or they want to raise awareness to help others. However, they often feel shame ...directed towards themselves that they didn't see it coming and for the person who died thinking people will remember their loved ones poorly. This I think causes much conflict and anxiety for family when they need understanding the most.
Hi lovely, thank you for your information, we agree totally. What an amazing job you do we definitely need our nurses and the help care you nurses give us wonderful 🙏 You take good care & have a lovely Christmas & New year 🎄💚💚
Hmm. Well, I've had two family members die this way, neither of which I knew very well. It's odd, but the people I didn't know at all saddened me more. Thinking about it personally, though, it cheers me to think that there might be some relief from life. A paradox.
The only ones impacted are the ones left behind .. my grandmother self delivered n at first it bothered me but as time passes I realized it was her choice not mine and I had absolutely no reason to feel responsible or sad about it.. now if it’s a child that’s a entire different story and at that point I believe the parents should be held accountable for being negligent. I’m sorry but if they were there for there kids well..
Hi Anne, you are very close I am from Co Durham so not quite a Geordie, from the wrong side of the river tyne a Geordie would say 😉 thanks for asking take care 💚💚
Hey ladies. Wondering how long the process of a 'typical' preparation takes. Just an approximate timeline from beginning of your procedure to completion of embalming and final staging for viewing.
Hiya, a typical.prep.in Australia doesn't include an embalming. It is a wash, face prep and dress. It takes anything from 20mins to an hour. To embalm, cavity embalm, treat wounds or do any reconstruction takes anything from a few hours to a few weeks for the involved cases. A typical natural embalm takes a few hours at most. Thanks for your question 🙂
I had a friend who committed suicide when he was 18 years old i never saw it coming didn’t even know that he was depressed by the time i found out it was already too late 😭😭😭he hung himself in his bedroom and too this day i still don’t know why he had too take his own life or what had led him too that point 😢
Maybe it's different in Australia, but as I understand it, here in the US the suicide rate mostly increases with age, although it's not perfectly linear. In other words, suicide is most common not among the young and impulsive but among the aged and ailing.
Hi, we get a mix of both young and old but it does tilt more towards older people especially men. It's all so very sad one suicide is one to many 😞 thank you for sharing your information 🙏 take care 💚
So, even if someone is experimenting for the first time with a drug, and they overdose, it’s considered suicide. The person didn’t necessarily mean to unalive themselves. They just took too much on accident.
If we have a form 9 couse of death then yes. We don't always get told if the person is coming out on coroner's paper work, we used to but stopped it a while ago 🤷♀️
The average discussion on suicide uses the phrase ‘ died by suicide’ not ‘ died from Suicide. It seems to me that flows off the tongue freely. I’m not correcting you! Just trying to help! My 24 year old son died by suicide 26 years ago. It’s so tragic and add an additional‘layer’ to grief. All in all: it’s another way people die. Jon’s Mom 💜
I’m curious as to what the most common cause of death is where suicide is concerned. As I understand it, you guys don’t have guns over there where as in the US we do.
Hi, we do have guns it's just we have very strict laws in owning a gun. I do find people (mainly men) from 70years up use a gun. Mostly though it's by hanging 😔 it's so very tragic however it's done. I find theses deaths the hardest to cope with🥺
Hi Brandiwitt, sending our love to you - we hope you are getting the help and support you need. If not, please please reach out to a free helpline - try one in the description of our video. Those people are trained to help xx
This subject is so taboo even in SA the stigma around suicide is so taboo.i can see that even this is jsut so sensetive cos you ladies r not evn your usual chatty selves😢
My beautiful Justine in my picture. Over a boy she took her life. I'm not ok. And there is nothing that I've found that will help me be ok. My birthday was today, and she passed her driving test one year ago today. I pray for death to come very soon for me. Seeing her hanging. Well no parent ever gets over that. Over a boy. Also lost her cousin six weeks prior to shotgun at 16 Over a breakup. My son also lost his friend to suicide over a break up. I'm trying so hard to not do the same thing myself, but I've been so ill lately. And now I understand why they had to do it.
Hello Elizabeth, we think about you all the time and we are so very sorry you are still struggling so much. We truly wish we could do more to help you 😔 Sorry you are still so unwell and we know you struggled with all that since losing your beautiful daughter to suicide 😔 We both want to say we are thinking of you always and it was good to hear from you too. We send you lots of love and support your way, please be kind to yourself always Tracy & Trish 💚💚
I lost my dad to this when I was a baby and several friends over the years as well as attempting myself. I just turned 22 today and this vid popped up on my feed so gave it a watch. It always breaks my heart this subject but thank-you for approaching it in such a delicate manner, your job must be so hard. 🤍🤍

Thank you for sharing that with us Michael. It's just devastating. And you are absolutely correct... The impact it has on those in the specialties that touch this subject is immeasurable. Such a burden to carry. We hope you have the support you need xx 💚
I think you are Wonderful,in your line of work,
Checking on people /families who have had misfortune experiencing suicides in their families.
Thank you so much Michelle 😘💚💚
You were both so respectful in what was a sad topic that you, Tracey, get to witness the results of, probably far too often. And I was so happy that you both used the term “died by suicide” rather than the older and very judgemental “committed suicide” - a term that unfortunately is still used by some people - so hurtful to the family and friends of someone who has died by suicide. Thank you both. You are amazing, so warm and wonderful.❤️🌺
Thanks for joining us Kathy and for your lovely comment. Sending lots of love to you xx
Hello again, beautiful, thank you so much such kind lovely words 🙏
Hugs back to you and your family in chilly UK 😊💚💚
Wow, thank you for your very careful approach to this terrible subject, so many lives have been affected by this, but you both handled this with absolute respect and dignity, thank you both so much!
Thank you lovely. No good can come of such despair. We are happy you could join us on our channel xx
Both of you ladies are very respectful the way you presented this topic. Thank you for being so compassionate.
Thank you Karen 💚💚
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your down to earth and compassionate approach to the subject.
☀️thank you for your lovely comment Patricia. We appreciate you watching 🙂
Thank you ladies for speaking on Suicide our yougest child at passed away via suicide at 18. He had been suffering mental health issues for about 5 years.
Even today nearly 17 years on we still suffer from loosing him. Take care everyone.
We are so very sorry to hear 😞 sending you our deepest condolences 🌹🌹 does matter how long ago it was it's always with us. Please take good care ❤️❤️
Thank you tracy and trish for this , it’s a very hard topic , big hugs all around .
Thanks beautiful Andy, hope you are doing well this silly season 🥰🥰
Hope you are doing well and sending you lots of love. Always be kind to yourself and take good care, you are important ❤️❤️
Hi Ladies Thanks So Much for Sharing!🌻This is very sad😢
Thank you for watching 💚💚
Thank you for making this video so sensitively. Thank you for raising awareness. I'm from the uk and it's really hard at the moment with the cost of living crisis. I'm heartbroken to know that there will be people out there, that will turn to suicide because of the crisis.
Hi Courtney, yes we agree it is so terrible sad 😔 we just wish & hope people seek out the help they need and I think if we could all be a bit kinder to others and ourselves it would help too.
You take good care over the Christmas holidays and enjoy them all the best for 2023 let's hope it's a good year for many people 🥰💚
Thank you for talking about this. It's taboo and discussions could save lives and get people help who are struggling.
Hi Jean, yes we very much hope so 🙏 thank you for your comments take care 💚💚
I used to be a sociology lecturer and I can confirm you're right about significant rises in both successful and attempted suicides in the month timeframe you noted. Theres actually a lot of academic papers and research around this.
Thanks Ashbell - thanks for your input. Yes, it is so very sad. Sending good vibes your way xx
Listen to your mother it's so true. Glad you are around as you are always so kind to us. You make sure you are kind to yourself 🥰❤️❤️
@@Areyoudyingtoknow 💕💕💕
I thought you both approached this subject really sensitively & respectfully. I also thought it was wonderful to have to hand resources for the poor family. I didn’t realise you are able to signpost counsellor’s who address specific circumstances. You are absolutely right, that it’s a very difficult subject to discuss.
Thanks Joanna, unfortunately there are many out there who would like us to discuss in graphic detail particular circumstances but that is not what we are about. We really appreciate you watching 🙂
Thank you for making this video...We could see it's very difficult for you to talk about...We appreciate it very much...
Thank you so much 💚💚
Very well presented ladies, such a delicate subject and you just know how to deal with these problems. Thank you. 😢😢
Thank you so much! 🤗❤️❤️
Thank you for raising awareness for this
its.just heartbreaking that some people think it's the only solution.
. Such a sad subject..but needs to be talked about.
. Yes we all need to take care of each other. Take care everyone.
So true Amanda big hug 🤗💚💚
Thank you. This is a difficult subject but glad you talked about it.
Thanks Janiedee, - it's just so sad. We hope you are well and thank you for joining us xx
Always a touchy subject. Suicide is such a tragedy.
Hi Karen m, yes it's so very sad 😔 take good care 💚💚
thank you ladies for dealing with a sensitive subject with respect etc of course love all your videos
Thanks lovely Natalie xx
Here in the USA, the suicide rate goes up after the holidays. It’s a horrible circumstance. Thank you for another wonderful video. Take care ladies
It's so very sad. Thanks for your comment xx
1st of January VAD starts in QLD team. Great channel well managed for a difficult issue. Cheers Paul
Thanks Paul for the information. Thought it was coming to QLD soon, that's great. Take care 😊💚💚
Thank you, lovely ladies for discussing this important topic which personally relates to me. Christmas time is always difficult.
Sending all our love to you beautiful Spenny. 💜💜
@@Areyoudyingtoknow Thank you so much. Sending lots of love back to you both 💜💜💜
🥰🥰
Big hugs 💚💚
Hello ladies and Cal, thank you for talking about this difficult topic and have a happy christmas
Aww you are very welcome. Thanks for joining us xx🌲🎅
It's the older men that tend to us the guns or the farmers 😔
We agree please be kind to each other and yourselves 🙏 you never know what a person is going through. Thank you for sharing that information, take care 💚💚
God bless both of you ladies
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
Evening ladies from a Cold UK! Hope you’re both well ❤
Quite the opposite here!! Happy to send sunshiney vibes your way. Thanks for joining us xx 🌞
Thank you Jon xx
G'day from Victoria
I was wondering how bad suicide levels got when Covid hit and lock downs started.
We wish and hope more people reach out if needing help 🙏
Thanks for your question take good care 💚
Good afternoon beautiful ladies Suicide is so sad. We have a lot of suicide here in the United States. So many commit suicide here that the general public never knows they died that way. We never know what someone else is going thru . Have a wonderful week.
Hi George. Yes it's very sad and generally the public have no real idea of the numbers. Thank you for commenting have a great week too 💚 xx
So sad. Thanks for the info and thank you for your amazing years of service. Front line workers are angels 🌻
Hey TnT very delicate topic tho 2 to 3 a week and that's just your experience alone. The statistics across Australia must be horrendous. Luv ya work ladies you're truly amazing. xx
Thanks. It is so sad. X
My grandmother committed suicide. She poisoned my grandfather and on the day , about 2 weeks later , they were going to exhume him , she shot herself. My dad found her . I attended the funeral of one of my best friends today , a 50 year friendship , she had dementia. She looked so good .
Oh Francis, that is a lot to take in. How awful for your family. And so sad you lost your friend. Take care, sending hugs to you 🥰
Vouluntary assisted dying is coming to South Australia in January 2023 for eligible people who are suffering from a terminal illness to choose the manner and timing of their death. lots of tight regulation to be eligible , I believe as of 1st January the VAD (Vouluntary assisted dying) will be available also to Queensland
Thanks Stell, we aren't up on the details so appreciate your input x
Thank you for sharing this specific topic. (Inside joke I can't say that word either).
🙂💜
What an amazing job you do we definitely need our nurses and the help care you nurses give us wonderful 🙏
You take good care & have a lovely Christmas & New year 🎄💚💚
Hmm. Well, I've had two family members die this way, neither of which I knew very well. It's odd, but the people I didn't know at all saddened me more. Thinking about it personally, though, it cheers me to think that there might be some relief from life. A paradox.
💚💚
watching this i wonder it could be seasonal depression up tic. super sad. please talk to someone you love and wanted.
💜
Well covered ladies ❤
Thank you ❤️❤️
The only ones impacted are the ones left behind .. my grandmother self delivered n at first it bothered me but as time passes I realized it was her choice not mine and I had absolutely no reason to feel responsible or sad about it.. now if it’s a child that’s a entire different story and at that point I believe the parents should be held accountable for being negligent. I’m sorry but if they were there for there kids well..
So sorry to hear you lost your grandmother in this way. But you are right never blame yourself. Hope you ok, take good care 💚💚
Please can I ask if the lady Mortician is from Newcastle in the UK? As I’ve been trying to pin down her accent! Thank you.
Oh DJ, that is awful. We are so sorry for your friend and everyone touched by that awful tragedy. Big love to you xx
❤ loved it ladies
Hiya Tracy, hope you are keeping well xx
Some countries don't between in getting help mentally
Thanks for your comment
So, even if someone is experimenting for the first time with a drug, and they overdose, it’s considered suicide. The person didn’t necessarily mean to unalive themselves. They just took too much on accident.
Not always it can be deemed an accidental overdose.
Are you always informed of the cause of death for every person?
If we have a form 9 couse of death then yes. We don't always get told if the person is coming out on coroner's paper work, we used to but stopped it a while ago 🤷♀️
The average discussion on suicide uses the phrase ‘ died by suicide’ not ‘ died from Suicide. It seems to me that flows off the tongue freely. I’m not correcting you! Just trying to help! My 24 year old son died by suicide 26 years ago. It’s so tragic and add an additional‘layer’ to grief. All in all: it’s another way people die. Jon’s Mom 💜
So very sorry to hear you lost your son John 😔 please take good care of yourself ❤️❤️
My husband killed himself on Friday the thirteenth
Oh Nancy thats so sad 😢 💚💚
Since the Gun laws are so strong in Australia what is the most common way people do it there ?
Hi, hanging or an overdose it the more common ways unfortunately. Thank for your question take care 💚
I've lost a grate friend to suicide
We are so very sorry to hear this 🥺 so very sad. Hope you are doing ok sending you hugs. Please look after yourself 💚💚
I find theses deaths the hardest to cope with🥺
There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t contemplate suicide.
It's just so sad 😔
We truly wish we could do more to help you 😔
Sorry you are still so unwell and we know you struggled with all that since losing your beautiful daughter to suicide 😔
We both want to say we are thinking of you always and it was good to hear from you too.
Oh Iona, thanks for sharing such a personal story. Sending lots of love your way. We hope you have a beautiful Christmas and we are so happy you are here to write to us. 🥰
And hope you have a lovely Birthday too 🎁🥰
