Some people just moan for the sake of it, if they don't like the way you produce your content they can just pass by. You 2 ladies compliment each other wonderfully and we learn so much from you both. Keep it ladies.xx
You just made a troll extremely happy mentioning their complaint. Don't feed the trolls. But having your own trolls is a sign of success. You do you and continue the good videos!
I had the embalmer call me and ask how I wanted my father to look and if I had any special requests. Now I know why! I asked for him to be clean-shaven!
Your content feels like I have been included to listen in to a conversation which is so nice. About two decades ago I was two weeks in to my new job at a funeral home - and broke the toes on my left foot (while gardening at home). I was one of the drivers. I have always regretted that injury. My current work is still helping people but there is not so much peace.
Very informative. I used to be scared of what happens in the mortuary but you guys have made it easier to understand and not as scary for me. Thank you! Keep it up!
I had a friend who died from pancreatic cancer . She was black ; not dark brown but BLACK BLACK . I was shocked , I thought that it might have been caused by all the chemotherapy she'd had .it truly was awful. Tracy your dress is beautiful .😍😍 Cal is looking fine today .👍👍💖💖
Hi Francis, so sorry to hear about your poor friend very sad😔 sounds like advance decomposition had stated. Unfortunately lots of people that die from some cancer related deaths do start to break down much faster than people who don't. It's not nice to see but hope you remember your friend for who she was. Take good care 💚💚
You guys are so fun to watch. Don’t ever change! We love you guys just like you are! You’re such a great mix of personalities! Tracy you raise the bar for embalmers in my opinion! Btw! Glad your pointer finger healed so well! 😂😂😂🖕
Fabulous dress, Tracy! It reminds me of those I used to wear in the 70's. It suits you perfectly and shows off your (enviable!) youthful figure. You are both such lovely ladies, inside & out. 🤩
You 2 are great together! Always so informative, straightforward and very funny! You can bring your loved one home? Wow! We can’t do that here in the US😮 You broke your up yours finger 😂 …..owwww! You’ve done quite a lot in your life!
Y'all are just hilarious and answer lots of my questions. I used to be an EMT, but had to quit due to an illness. I have seriously considered going back to school to become an embalmer. The nearest school that I could go train at is about two hours away from my home hear in South Carolina, USA. I'm 43 years old with no wife and no children. I've always been fascinated by the embalming process. I would like to work with the deceased and not so much with the families, even though I enjoyed working with patients as an EMT. In both professions you are generally working with folks who are going through a very difficult experience. I'm afraid that I'm too old to start over. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated as I do not even know the first steps to take to get into the field. Thanks, Bucky
Hi Bucky, thank you so much for your kind words 💚 You are never to old and with your background work this kind of job would be great for you and you for the industry, I was 45 when I first started as a mortician ( that was 10 years ago) so older than you and I only decided to do my embalming studies 4 years ago and completed in February 2022. I would encourage you to look into mortuary studies as I know in the USA it is very different from Australia, we don't have mortuary schools to become a mortician it's all on the job training. Here in Australia people tend to get there foot into the door of a funeral home by doing other roles such as, funeral directors assistant or doings the transfers of the deceased person from place of death to the funeral home. Hope that information helps you, good luck and take care 😊💚💚
I love how u spiced it up and switched places today 😀 U both look lovely today and dont let anyone tell u how to run your channel! There are 2 of u so u both will be talking. If they dont like it, they can move along! Theres always a troll or a critic who thinks what they have to say is important when clearly its not! Love u both, love your channel, love Cal-cium lol and love the topics! Keep it up ladies! Have a beautiful week 💜 Im off to dig a hole now as my kitty passed this morning. He was 18 and had a great long life! 💜
Ohhhh Kim were are so sorry to hear poor 🐈 🥺 hope you are ok 🌹🌹 Oh and you are so kind and supportive to us always, love you right back, hope you have a better weekend hugs from us both 🤗🤗💚
Tracy and Trish i love this channel its interesting and very informative all questions are answered in a positive way not in a way we can't understand ❤❤
You guys are great!!! Hey from Ottawa Canada :) just finished my first class for my funeral preplanner course and will be starting the second one in May. Next course will hopefully be the transfer service sales rep so I know how to handle bodies and transfer to and from places. Your channel has been my go to for great information :)
Thank you so much 🥰 And how exciting good luck with the whole course we wish you every success in your journey to care for the deceased 🙏 Take good care out in beautiful Ottawa Canada 💚💚
Fantastic show guys thank you both so much! One wee quick question.. Do you ask for recent photos of the deceased in order to set the features and get the hair right etc? Thanks guys!
Well, I have decided to go the natural burial route. No viewing, no "Oh how peaceful he looks". I will be picked up within 48 hours, taken to a local funeral home that has an agreement with the cemetery where they will strip me down and wrap me in a linen sheet and call the cemetery to pick my carcass up and deliver me to the cemetery where 6 or so big strapping college bois will lug me up to the site I picked out and they hand dug (NO power equipment is allowed) and my executor should already have gone up and dropped all my silver coins in the hole and covered them up, drop me in, fill in the hole, play 3 songs on a CD player, have a medicine man give my farewell, drink a 6 pak of beer (we all know what happens then), plant a native shrubbery on top and walk away and forget about me. No markers of any kind, each burial site is GPS marked and a master map is on paper as a back up. I'm gone, and don't have to deal with all this garbage going on in the world. I CAN have a bench made up and placed along the stream that runs through the property but I won't say who paid for it. Just anonymous. Then in 10,000 years if a scientific expedition explores the area and happens to dig up where I have long since gone to nothing except my fillings and silver coins and wonder what the Hell is THIS. Let them puzzle over it. The regulations forbid you from being planted there if you had radiation treatment, no matter how long ago it was, you cannot be buried there. Chemo I think is OK, but since I won't undergo either, I am fine. I do enjoy your videos. Please keep them coming.
I absolutely adore the both of you 🫶 Really 🥰 The chemistry between you two is amazing. You both are amazing together. If I am being honest; your friendship & the way you speak during these videos reminds me of myself & my very best friend (Sister really). She and I have been friends for well over 45+ years. Ooooffff did I just age myself 😅 well perhaps 🤷🏻♀️ Let’s just say our kāmālī’ī (children) & now grandchildren are growing up together 😅 • You’ll never make everyone happy. That’s ok. As long as you’re both happy & having fun; just continue doing what you do. Those that love you will always be in your corner cheering you on. Mahalo😊(Thank You) for what you both bring to the world 🌍🫶
Awww thank you we are just catching up on all your messages and all have been so touching and lovey and sad too but we all have our losses as we age 😬 don't worry we think your very young 😊 We are great friends and have fun about and about with our husbands we are all runners and to lots of events together heaps of fun. You only life once. Take care lovely 😍❤️
There are people in comments everywhere that are totally unreasonable and likely comment before watching the entire video. Many are trolls. The both of you are great!! 👍👍❤️
Absolutely love your videos! So interesting and also what a lovely soul Trace is. Very comforting to know there are morticians like you out there to take care of our final needs. Sorry though, I just have to ask… … at 7.24, which one of you was it?! 😂😂😂😂 Love that you left it in, am dying with laughter! Excuse the pun 😂
Don’t change a thing you guys are awesome! Super informative!! I have a question… have you ever had to warn a family not to touch the deceased? If so, what circumstances might this be in and how would you address the situation with the family? Love your channel. Sending love from America!
Hi Nichola, thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🥰 It's very rare I will suggest not to touch the body. It's usually in reconstruction situation or badly decomposed body. Just because the bodies will be in a delicate state. In my work place we approach the family with the truth and always respectfully. It's always best to be truthful but also very caring at the same time. Thank you for your question take good care out in America 😘💚💚
Ladies you do a fine job don’t worry about what the trolls say you guys compliment each other and can finish each others sentences. Keep up the good work!! Thanks for an other great video girls-/:
When my mom was in the hospital I vividly rememeber a nurse sticking herself in a different room and they treated it camly but like a code and all hands on deck ... they took her blood within 3 minutes and they had her on desk duty the rest of the day .... every hour they were takign her blood and a few other test that i have no idea what they were.
Thank you for all the information. I was especially curious about Jaundice. A relative of mine died of Liver Cancer and was jaundice. I was surprised when we saw him at the funeral he was not jaundice at all. No he wasn’t green either lol. The mortician did great work and he had good coloring.
I don't know. I guess I have a different view of saying good bye. I remember a good friend of mine passed from lung Cancer. He didn't want all these tears. He wanted everyone together and party. We were the ones who actually buried him. We had to get a judge to sign off because of the radiation when he was alive. And the funeral home gave us dimensions on what the opening had to be. Each one of us took turns digging. When we got the depth that was required and all. We all put something in with him. His wife wrapped his ashes in his grandmother's quilt she put their wedding rings in. Someone put a beer and a joint in Me and him used to argue about long and short bed Ford trucks. I said the short bed Ford was sporty. Long bed looked like grandpas truck. When I put that truck in the wind picked up. Wonder why? Anyway don't cry for me. Have a good time and drink 🍷🍷🍷 one for me! This was 30 yrs ago.
Hi, here in Queensland Australia we do not embalm all bodies that come into our care. In my Mortuary nearly 90% are not embalmed, just washed dressed placed in a coffin or casket ready for the funeral service, be it a burial or cremation. The reasons bodies are embalmed or - if the family request it, it the body is going home for a period of time, if the body has to be repatriated (flown to another country) and culture reasons. Think places like the USA embalm just about all their deceased bodies. Thank you for your question take care 😊💚
I think its important to clarify there is a different level of risk for someone who works directly with the deceased body (ie opening the body or hands on care of an open body) and the risk to family etc viewing the body. As a medical professional only in rare circumstances is a body (embalmed or NOT) dangerous to family viewing/casually touching (hand holding) a body. Sorry I think there is already enough fear without adding to it. 😢
Hi, yes you are right. And family have nothing to fear when viewing or touching their loved ones at a viewing or service. Thank you for your comments, take care 💚
Interesting questions and answers. I think you ought to think about billing the subscriber for premium rate membership based on the mumber of questions rolled into one.😁. Tracy. Glad to hear you have avoided turning Grandma Green. How do you talk your way out of that? Suggest a SHREK themed funeral? The attention to detail and care you give illustrates the huge responsibility you have to tge deceased and the family
My cousin was the county coroner in our small community for years and I went to mortuary school to sign up in the early 80's and they discouraged me! They said that I didn't have the right "personality" for it. 🤨
Back in the late 60’s, I had a friend that had a brother in law that was a mortician. He was embalming a body and some how he got ill from a body and died. I am old now, butI believe it was hepatitis. So sad he was very young. Does this sound possible?
Hi Susan, what a very sad story 😞. Yes it's very possible especially with certain types of hepatitis. Back in the good old 60's I don't think PPE (personal protective equipment) was high on the list of equipment to use in the mortuary. I know gloves and plastic aprons were worn but I don't this face masks and shields were. A lot of cross contamination happen in these days to, not washing equipment correctly in between deasesed, not cleaning down all the mortuary correctly. The list goes on and of course they is always needle stick injuries too. I was always taught from day one working in the NHS National Blood Services collecting blood, always always treat every blood donor as infectious! Meaning never ever touch anyone or any blood products without your full PPE on as we just don't know who and who is not infectious with any kind of virus or bacteria. I never touch any deceased person unless kited up in my full PPE because I just don't know who has what 👍 thank you for sharing take good care 💚💚
Hi Richard, I can not recall having looked after any dying of radiation poisoning but have looked after many people that's had radiation therapy for cancer. Yes I can prepare them and yes the body can be cremated after a period of 10days after last treatment. But again for me and the cremation operator we must always wear out full PPE. Thanks for your question take care 😊💚
I really like your show, my problem is my computer is on total MAX for sound and I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I have to strain and stain until I get a headache. PLEASE try to get a microphone. Thanks so much
You are in Australia right? I am in US. When you mention "going home" does that mean that the deceased person is going back to their home??? For how long? Does the US let that happen as well? I have never heard of that happening, and understand. I have enjoyed your channel. Yall are 2 sweet gals. From Asheville Northcarolina ❤
Hi yes we are in Australia. It means that the deceased person is going back to their own home. It is very common here, the length of time home is anywhere from one night to a full week just depends on the individual family or the traditions or culture. I cannot speak for the USA as I don't know the rules sorry. Thank you for your kind words ❤️❤️
My question is do you ever deal with skeletonized or mummified remains? Also ive heard of people using death masks on the face of a loved one, have you ever done a death mask?
Thanks fir your Qs - We might answer the death mask question in a video. And weve done a few vids already in the skeletal remains. Yes, Ive prepared a full skeleton. It was so interesting 💙
Hi John, we have done a few videos talking about this. Yes it can be a pollution risk. Here in Queensland Australia a university is working on a none formaldehyde embalming chemical 👍. However formaldehyde is not only used by Embalmers, it's used in lots of house hold things we use every day. formaldehyde is used in the manufacturing of many household items-from furniture to cosmetics-it is present in every home. Higher concentrations of formaldehyde are found in homes with new products or new construction. Thank you for your question take care 😊🇦🇺🇬🇧🐾💚💚
Hi, you won't get a smell because the bodies have to be embalmed to go into an above ground vaults. Embalming slows down the process of decomposition, but it does not stop it completely. Embalming involves the injection of chemicals, such as formaldehyde, into the body's blood vessels to preserve and delay the onset of decomposition. This process can slow down the decomposition process of the body and help maintain its appearance for a longer period of time. However, over time, even embalmed bodies will begin to decompose. The chemicals used in the embalming process can break down and eventually be absorbed by the body, allowing natural process of decay to occur. Bacteria and other microorganisms can also continue to break down the tissues of the body. The body will become more mummified and dry out so you don't get the leaking of fluids or that really bad odour. The rate of decomposition in embalmed bodies depends on various factors such as the type of embalming fluid used, the temperature and humidity of the environment, and the presence of bacteria and insects. Ultimately, embalming only provides temporary preservation of the body and its appearance, and it does not halt the natural process of decomposition indefinitely. Hope that helps you 😊💚
@@Areyoudyingtoknow I knows how embalming fluid works in South italy they don't embalming corpses just in metal lined casket or plain wood we has a hole in wall to place coffin in then white marble slab goes across it google Rosalia lombardi of catacombs italy thats embalming at i never seen shes over 100 year old but looks like shes sleeping 👍🇬🇧🇦🇺🐾🦊
Sorry I didn't know that South Italy don't embalm, so I have no idea how it works there or what process happens. I just know here when our bodies go into the crypt like you described, ours have marble fronts too but bodies have to be embalmed first. It's different all over the world take care 💚
Well if I turn green don't worry about it. Just put some martain ears on me and send me on my way !I can't be all serious about this for me. If my family doesn't like it. Well it's my send off. Don't want all this tears and stuff. Have a bon fire 🔥🔥🔥 bring out the beer 🍺🍺🍺 and party. I want to celebrate not morn. Guess I am weird.😂😂😂
It means when the family what their deseased to go back home for a few days before the funeral service. It happens a lot here, family like to have vigil at home. ❤️
Not at all, unless that's what they ask for. I would still wash them and wrap in a clean sheet. If there are requests we always honour them as closely as possible. 💜 We are not in the habit of forcing anything on anyone.🙂
Question 1 why do ypu embalm people i dont know Question 2 Has there been a time when the person woke up while on the table or is it just muscle spasms
Hi, I have had many people who's requested to leave the world the same way they arrived naked. I have honoured these requests but once a person is placed in a coffin or casket these have side sheets attached to them so it drapes over the body so you only see from the chest up. So yes naked be not on display as you think. All very respectful. Thank you for your question take care 💚
Do not worry about pleasing everyone in the comments. You are close friends and how you have a conversation is real. 👍❤️

Don’t change a thing you guys are awesome! Super informative!! I have a question… have you ever had to warn a family not to touch the deceased? If so, what circumstances might this be in and how would you address the situation with the family? Love your channel. Sending love from America!
Hi Nichola, thank you so much for your kind words 🙏🥰
It's very rare I will suggest not to touch the body. It's usually in reconstruction situation or badly decomposed body. Just because the bodies will be in a delicate state. In my work place we approach the family with the truth and always respectfully. It's always best to be truthful but also very caring at the same time. Thank you for your question take good care out in America 😘💚💚
You guys are brilliant.

One thing for sure, you bury your mistakes.
Sending hugs ❤️❤️
Thank you for all the information. I was especially curious about Jaundice. A relative of mine died of Liver Cancer and was jaundice. I was surprised when we saw him at the funeral he was not jaundice at all. No he wasn’t green either lol. The mortician did great work and he had good coloring.
Thank you for sharing 😊 yes sounds like the mortician did a good job. Take care 😊💚💚
❤❤❤ looove the hat
Thanks so much Tracy 🥰💚💚
I don't know. I guess I have a different view of saying good bye. I remember a good friend of mine passed from lung Cancer. He didn't want all these tears. He wanted everyone together and party. We were the ones who actually buried him. We had to get a judge to sign off because of the radiation when he was alive. And the funeral home gave us dimensions on what the opening had to be. Each one of us took turns digging. When we got the depth that was required and all. We all put something in with him. His wife wrapped his ashes in his grandmother's quilt she put their wedding rings in. Someone put a beer and a joint in
Me and him used to argue about long and short bed Ford trucks. I said the short bed Ford was sporty. Long bed looked like grandpas truck. When I put that truck in the wind picked up. Wonder why? Anyway don't cry for me. Have a good time and drink 🍷🍷🍷 one for me! This was 30 yrs ago.
Thank you for sharing your story 😔 we never forget no matter how many years ago it was. Take good care ❤️❤️
Why are bodies embalmed and are all bodies embalmed? Love you guys. Fascinating stuff
The both of u r beautiful x
Thanks... but did you learn something?
you do good work
Thank you your very kind 💚
Don't change anything about ur podcast. I love how u guys just talk
Awww thank you so much 🥰❤️❤️
Does ultraviolet light get rid of jaundice(bilirubin) in dead bodies like it does in living?
Hi, no sorry it won't get rid of the jaundice. Thank you for your question take care 😊💚
To funny Steve, yip will charge more next time 😜
Thank you as always have a great weekend 😗💚💚
❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
My cousin was the county coroner in our small community for years and I went to mortuary school to sign up in the early 80's and they discouraged me! They said that I didn't have the right "personality" for it. 🤨
Ooh no sorry to hear that. Hope what ever career you persuade you enjoy ❤️❤️
Question 3 if some one has been murdered and cut up do you have to sow all the body parts back on before the funeral
Depends on how badly they are damaged and if there is a viewing or embalming is needed, but generally yes, I would put them back together.
Wow Tracy your hair is amazing so thick ❤
It really is! Sometimes a pain in the bum 😉💚
@@Areyoudyingtoknow it’s beautiful.
Mine is very long but thin, but I get so hot 🥵
That's why I tie mine up so much as it gets so hot 😉 x
@@Areyoudyingtoknow same here I have to have mine up, did you used to live in the uk im sure I recognized your accent xx
Oh yes born and bred North East England Co Durham. I have been in Australia nearly 17 years now. Xx
Tha you
Great vid girls. If someone dies of radiation poisoning can you handle them? And can they be cremated??
Hi Richard, I can not recall having looked after any dying of radiation poisoning but have looked after many people that's had radiation therapy for cancer. Yes I can prepare them and yes the body can be cremated after a period of 10days after last treatment. But again for me and the cremation operator we must always wear out full PPE. Thanks for your question take care 😊💚
Thats interesting thanks so much for getting back to me.xx
Your welcome 😁
I really like your show, my problem is my computer is on total MAX for sound and I CAN'T HEAR YOU. I have to strain and stain until I get a headache. PLEASE try to get a microphone. Thanks so much
So sorry about that we have up dated our mics so hopefully you will hear us better 💚
You ship to America?.I want get hoodie for next winter
Yes, our stock is printed in US and UK through Spring 🙂
Love u girls
🤗🤗❤️❤️
My question is do you ever deal with skeletonized or mummified remains? Also ive heard of people using death masks on the face of a loved one, have you ever done a death mask?
Thanks fir your Qs - We might answer the death mask question in a video. And weve done a few vids already in the skeletal remains. Yes, Ive prepared a full skeleton. It was so interesting 💙
Hi,,sweet ladies.
Hello 😊 🥰❤️❤️
I'm curious about embalming fluid or formaldehyde does it pollution risk to environment ? Perhaps a video on that next 👍🇬🇧🐾🦊🇦🇺
@@Areyoudyingtoknow interesting but when a body is put in walls at cemetery do fluids leak out ? How come no stink ?
Sorry
I didn't know that South Italy don't embalm, so I have no idea how it works there or what process happens.
Not weird at all, that's how it should be done with a celebration of your life 🥂🍻❤️❤️
Oops I meant " Dont " sorry ladys
😂 was hoping that was the case 😜 all good, we knew what you meant thanks again always kind words 💚
What does it mean when you say "they are going home for a few days"??
It means when the family what their deseased to go back home for a few days before the funeral service. It happens a lot here, family like to have vigil at home. ❤️
Here in The US we are highly educated in Mortuary Science.
Here in Australia we too 😊
What happens to a deceased person if they do not get embalmed and did not want to be dressed 16:51 .Are they just left in a plastic bag??
Not at all, unless that's what they ask for. I would still wash them and wrap in a clean sheet. If there are requests we always honour them as closely as possible. 💜 We are not in the habit of forcing anything on anyone.🙂
Question 1 why do ypu embalm people i dont know
Question 2
Has there been a time when the person woke up while on the table or is it just muscle spasms
No one has ever woken up. On the table. They are usually well gone before i start my prep. And no they dont generally have muscle spasms either.
Is the mortician married? I know it's just a blunt question but, she is definitely my kind of gal
Hi, yes she is 😊
What is purple Jesus? Heard an emblamer talk about it?
Hi, I am really sorry I have never heard that saying before. Sorry we can't help, take care 💚
I thought marijuana was illegal in Australia
Not yet !
have you ever prepared a person that wanted to be displayed nude,ie a naturist etc?
Hi, I have had many people who's requested to leave the world the same way they arrived naked. I have honoured these requests but once a person is placed in a coffin or casket these have side sheets attached to them so it drapes over the body so you only see from the chest up. So yes naked be not on display as you think. All very respectful. Thank you for your question take care 💚
