I do wish game devs would recognize that "light red" is a terrible idea for areas to dodge. This boss is especially egregious, apparently it shows on the ground for people who aren't colorblind.
Got it with hearty and vicious. Everything except the three normal swings one shot. Great boss by itself, but with the wonky hit registration it is easily the worst boss to fight on apocalypse. Not even close
Me and a buddy got hearty and regenerator. He takes forever to take down his health and for some reason, despite being tanky builds, he can one or 2 tap us. The tendrils attack is the absolute worst and the hit box of most of his attacks make no sense. We still haven't beat him and have been trying for about a week and a half so far
Man, he got the affix empathy in my run now. That means when he is half life and I use my relic I heal him completely full. That's so fucking annoying......
@@TheGamingDandy it's great for appling damage over time while using your main gun. You get it from killing Tal Ratha (normal version, DO NOT let him eat you). He is one of the world bosses for N'erud. Re roll n'erud until your spawn point is the forgotten prison. That will guarantee him as your world boss. You can also double check this by looking at what the seeker needs you to acquire. For Tal Ratha it's the Soul Sparks.
I'm playing on Veteran mode with the Challenger as my primary archetype (Hunter secondary), and I literally just melee'd this bitch to death with my great longsword. Just stuck to its side the whole time and crushed it in about 1min flat
@andypadilla9002 I see. But its still really specific the 2 bosses with a similar model share the exact same theme with Cancer just having a different version of it, hence where I drew the similarity. The coincidence is unlikely.

Gotta say, I don't think they play tested the hitbox for the sapling spikes because they hit much farther out than indicated

his melee attacks look a bit like harsgaards, also its harsgaards theme music but remade and remixed..... could this mean anything?

Me too bro, but my modifiers are thick skinned and elemental resistent so it’s an uphill battle for me too.

elemental resist and vicious here :/ im on a super tanky elemental build but i do no dmg and almost all his hits one shot me... tough one :(

Got vicious on nightmare, the roots would oneshot me even tho I had 60% DR. Switched to all light armor and managed to beat him with shielded heart

honestly i agree, its between this and the spectral guardian for me, both are awful, the rest of the boss fights and game feel fine though.

Yeah so mine puts roots on me anywhere not in a neat little circle and then will hit me mid roll and from 10 feet away which instantly kills me.

If you roll a boss with Empathy, it'll heal whenever you use a relic charge.
