- Bassist Trip Wamsley presents the Gallien-Krueger PLEX Preamp pedeal, a 4-band active preamp/EQ pedal for bass. Smooth out your sound using the PLEX's built-in compressor. Maintain your intonation with the PLEX's chromatic tuner. Make your weak bass signal pop with the PLEX's boost function. A direct XLR out lets you plug straight into a console or PA.

Well done Trip...Cheers....Every bass player could use this
I sold my Aguilar tone hammer preamp pedal a few months ago... so that, I've been thinking about getting another preamp but I think getting a Reddi Di should be my way to go
Just got this today and all I can say is DAMN. I sold my EBS micro 3 and couldn't be happier.
The ONLY thing I wish it had was a dual channel for my fender and musicman
Sounds great, but not a terribly intuitive control layout...if I could memorize and concentrate well enough to operate this thing, would I be playing bass?

Many are called...few are chosen. 👑🎸🎵
it aint that hard my dude
Thank gawd GK brought back trip. I get so tired of other demos where people talk too much, play one genre, or just don't hit the bass. Playing style really comes out nice a separated in the preamp. But wondering if the grind will keep together in the different applications (FOH, recordings, getting grind out of an existing amp)?
A lot of reviews say that pedal is noisy. It sounds fine to me. All the emulation channels sound the same, though.
Great demo. is a good pedal for going straight to the board.
wow, love it! Trip you make the best "bass face" 's thanks for the vid
Great review
Can it used into a gk cabinet? How many watts/ohms can it handle? Can I substitute it for an amp head?
It's not a head, it's a preamp. You'd either need a powered cabinet, or a power amp + cabinet, run it into an existing amp (maybe via the effects loop to bypass the existing preamp), or run it directly into your PA system.
The bass tosses did it for me.
Seinfeld lives!!!!
Why does the xlr di out at the front instead of the sides?
For minimizing the pedal footprint IMHO. The top section is full of in-out-send-return connections. If they'd put the xlr connection on either side, then it will cause issues on a pedalboard with another pedal next to it, considering the size of any XLR plug.
Because it looks funny
Trip rules!
take my money!!!!
Very good😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
It's more of an at home toy, DI out for a live show, and it turns into a nightmare.
I'm too high for this terrible acting 🤣
Great videos but to much speakings.......we need more sounds plz. Specifications after.
What was in the effects loop??
Willy Franklin that was a feed to a monitor
Thanks a bunch Trip!! Love your playing!! Would love to have a Skype lesson some time if you're up for it!
