Looks great! I wouldn't have repainted it either. I have a NYC set with single reduction, any idea when they were made? Thanks!

thanks! Not sure the exact year for your NYC units, mid 1950s . Two different version were made. Earlier version has a long flag and early motor like these Santa Fe units (double reduction but gearing on flanges) Later version had shorter flag and power pull motor (larger weight & traction tires) I think that version was made around 1960
