Marx Sound O Power tender "life hack"

+++++Warning: Always replace the foam board that protects the board BEFORE applying any power to these tenders or the early Lionel MPC sound of steam tenders!!! Thought I'd share this once again, how to make your Marx Sound O Power tender more reliable. I had to replace a burnt board anyway so I fed the red wire through the front truck rivet and used a nut & screw to ground it right to the truck itself using the hole in the empty coupler lug. I polished the actuator wheel and the truck wheels & axles, makes them run consistent and eliminates the rusty or dirty truck rivet issue so if you're having problems with a board the works intermittent, you can run a jumper wire from the truck to the frame or simply remove the red wire from the frame and run it direct to the front truck like I did for this one.

yeah Marx has a really nice chuff sound for the time period, I wasn't crazy about the mighty sound of marbles either!!
