  • It is a pipe with fins on its outer surface. There is convection and radiation from the fins. Inside the pipe, the hot fluid enters & at the outlet, there is a change in temperature of the fluid due to the heat transfer from the pipe outer surface. The change in Fluid temperature has been found out.

    At 3:30, just a small correction "number of copies does not include the parent profile". The parent profile is excluded from the number of copies while specifying the pattern. Otherwise, indeed a very helpful tutorial Sir.

    I exactly followed the steps in the video but after final meshing he had 184447 elements while when I meshed exactly following the same steps I had 622688 elements. I was wondering where I am going wrong or what's happening. The reason is that the final mesh taken for solving in fluent has body sizing with element size 3 mm not 1 mm.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад +1

      The default mesh setting might be dominating the custom mesh settings. Check if you have selected the mesh behaviour to "hard" in each sizing.

    Hi there
    I am going to simulate a fire in tunnel by using fluent ansys and I have question
    about the density of air inside the tunnel how should i define it is it incompressible ideal gas or ideal gas
    the problem is transient
    grateful

    Is there a way we can show air of 25deg C flowing over the fins

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  3 года назад

      For that we need to create another enclosure domain over this fin. In that you can define the inlet temp. Of air as 25 decree celcius.

    whwn ı go to setup, It says the error "This is an educational executable, and can only be used with cases containing less than 512,000 cells."
    ı have this error . what can ı do for that ? please help me

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад

      Go to meshing and increase the mesh cell sizes to decrease the no of elements and node . Try to keep the no of elements within 512000 as you are using a free student version software.

      @@AnsysTutor thank u so much ,it worked. But ı want to learn a last thing . what is the purpose in this project , what did we learn as a result ? Because ı didnt understand what we did and what we learnt in here . If you explain that , ı will be so happy really .

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад

      It would be not right to say it's a project, it's a tutorial demonstration of how to create the geometry, meshing and put the boundary conditions etc. You might have seem the problem description ,it's a simple fluid flow & heat transfer problem . It's suitable for viewers new to ANSYS fluent. Such type of tutorial helps them to become familiar with various tools and options available in this software.

    Is there any difference between filling the inside and creating a frozen cylinder and giving if fluid type there?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад +1

      Yes, frozen does not mean it's frozen like ice.🙂 it's just a name to define the geometry as a separate entity.
