    Thank's . The absorber tube is a tube covered in a pyrex tube. In the annular space the void was shouted to cry out the greenhouse effect. As a condition at the limit on the glass tube, a heat flux must be imposed which must already be calculated by a software which uses the Monté carlo method, in which there is a non-uniform distribution of the flux intercepted by the absorber tube.

    Great tutorial, thx!!!
    But I want to ask some questions:
    1) What would be if you ticked "heat exchanger" in models?
    How does ansys understand that there is a heat exchange? (What do we have to do in order to ansys will include the heat equetions)?
    -He includes it when we tick "energy" in models???
    2) In your case the propeties of water (density, thermal conductivity, etc.) is constant along the pipes? (Sometimes physical propeties strongly depend on tempreture, pressure, etc. In this case it's not so important, but what should I do in order to take into account these variations?)
    I would be very grateful for the answers.
    p.s. sorry for the mistakes, I'm not quite good in English yet :)

    Thanks for your videos, they are amaizing. I would like to ask you something, I'm modeling a pipe surrounded by air and water inside, the boundary condicion is coupled in both cases but I want to set a heat flux over the outer wall. if I do that, then doimaind fluid and solid are not coupled, which is not desired. What could I do for having both, or if it is better to put a heat generation rate instead, what geometric parameters should I take into consideration for calculating the W/m3?. Last question, is there any problem if I do not set the wall thickness in the boundary conditons? because I have seen that the result is different if I put the thickness than if I did not. If you can help me, I would appreciated a lot. Thanks in advance.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  2 года назад +2

      First thing is you should check if you had made all the bodies into one part, so that there would not be any auto generated contact surfaces. Second this is wall thickness, if yoh have not modeled the pipe wall in the geometry then fluent would take it as a zero thickness surface layer. So the result would vary accordingly. So plan that way, if your simulation gets affected by the pipe thickness then I would recommend you to use the shell conduction or wall thickness option.

    • @leomartinez9464
      @leomartinez9464 2 года назад +1

      @@AnsysTutor Thanks for your promptly reply, I have made the design of the piping accordingly, e.i., with the proper dimensions of thickness in design modeler. And also, I have done all bodies into one part, so the shadow walls have been generated in fluent. The thing is that when I put heat generation rate and put the thickness wall n BC, I obtain one result, and then I remove the wall thickness and I obtein other. A frined of mine who knows a lot about ANSYS told me not to put the thickness wall in BC, but Im not sure about that. Any way, thanks, I suscribed to your channel. It would be great if you can do tutorials about solar ray tracing related with solar systems which I am struggling with now. Best regards

    I have a doubt here at 12:19 in the video... like
    1.Why did you select only the 3 faces for Face Meshing? why u have not selected the Hot fluid face? Please clarify...
    2. Also, what about the faces on the other side of pipes i.e at the end ? I mean isn't required to do face meshing for them?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  7 лет назад +2

      there are many methods by which you can discretize the domain, here I have used "Mapper face meshing" on the 3 surfaces only to distribute the mesh equally on the faces ,if you will give face meshing to the hot fluid domain then there might be some faces(adjacent to inner pipe inner surface) on the hot fluid domain which will not be meshed,that will result in error during solution.
      for the second question: you can also follow the same procedure at the other end ,but it is not needed as it generally takes the same configuration as given on one side.

    • @AnsysTutor

      I have not created interfaces that is because we are not applying any boundary conditions at the interfaces. So no need of this. Some part of the fluid domain is tetrahedral also. You can use any type of elements as per your geometry , generally if your geometry contains bends then use tetrahedral elements . If its a simple geometry like the pipe wall then there is no need of taking tetra-hedral shaped elements.

    Excuse me Sir. I am making a heat transfer simulation of an electric engine which has liquid fluid between the rotor and the case, the fluid is not changing ( closed engine) so I cannot make and inlet and an outlet but because of the rotor movement (4000rpm) still being a forced convection. How could I simulate it ? Thanks in advance

    Hi why did you not use inflation for the fluid and pipe for the smaller diameter pipe?

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  7 лет назад

      Inflation layer mainly provided to prevent any gap during meshing you can also give inflation layer near the inner pipe.

    • @chowjenghei
      @chowjenghei 7 лет назад

      I see, but in terms of good heat transfer is there a need for a certain level of inflation on each sides of the wall?

    • @AnsysTutor

      Inflation layers will create a better meshing, It depends upon your geometry .analyze your model with increasing inflation layers.

    • @AnsysTutor

      Delete all the surfaces created in connection and then check. While creating the geometry you should have select all the bodies and create a single part. So there would be no contact surfaces in connection. Try this and reply if it solved or not.

      try to mesh the domain properly, the temperature limitation warning generally comes if there is a error in meshing. Dont forget to assign inflation layers near solid -liquid interface.

    I have one doubt in your temperature results that you got DTh=333-331.53 = 1.47 K
    DTc=309.22-303 = 6.22 K
    1. How is it possible that cold fluid gains much more temp. Than hot fluid looses.
    2. One more thing In simulation I think we neglected all losses than why did such differences found
    Thanks...

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  6 лет назад

      There is no way you can compare temperature loss with temperature gain as the mass flow rate in both the case is not same due to different geometry . so it would be better to compare the Heat loss= heat gain concept . i.e Q=mCpdT

    • @stando-n9052
      @stando-n9052 6 лет назад

      Ansys-Tutor thanks for your reply, yes I'm comparing heat transfer rate for both, even after diff. (m)
