    If you've ever wanted a quality bidet attachment, with a lifetime warranty, you'll want to check out our favorite bidet attachment, the GoBidet. Today we're going to walk through installing this from start to finish.
    My name is Daniel Johnson, I'm your bidet expert and I'm the owner of manybidets.com, where over the past 8 years, we've sold over 10,000 bidets.
    The first step, whenever installing a bidet attachment is to take your existing toilet seat off. Pretty straightforward to do this, just loosen the nuts on the bottom side of these bolts and once those nuts are off, the seat will come off. The attachment is going to sit between your existing toilet seat and the rim of the toilet itself.
    This is how the GoBidet attachment comes in the box. We have the arm that attaches the GoBidet to the toilet, we have a nut, a plastic washer and a rubber washer. The rubber washer will stay on that little bolt, but the nut and the plastic washer will come off. We're going to leave it right like that. You can also unscrew this all together if you want and move it over to this hole. If you want to have some opportunity for different placement of the GoBidet control panel, we'll look at that as we get further into the installation. When it comes to water connections, by default the GoBidet works with cold water. You can see the “C” here, this is the cold water inlet. Here's your “H”, for hot water inlet. By default, the hot water inlet is capped off. We can take a flat head screwdriver, to uncap it. If you get a hot water adapter kit with your GoBidet, install the nub that comes with that hot water adapter kit, so that you now have a hot water inlet as well. The hot water inlet would connect to the sink water line, or some other location where you can get hot water and of course the hot water kit is going to come with an additional hose and T-connector, to run that line. Today we are going to be installing the cold water only, but as you can see, getting the hot water set up is pretty straightforward, assuming that you get the hot water kit. Now we're going to place the arm into the hole that connects the toilet seat to the toilet. We want to make sure that this rubber washer is protecting the porcelain, so that's going to be between the two. Now we're going to put the plastic washer on the bottom side here, followed by the nut, so let's do that now. That's somewhat snug, we could get a wrench and tighten that down even further. This hole here, where the nub could also have connected, would allow us to connect the nub here and run it over to this hole if we needed positioning to be a little bit different. You'll also notice that these arms go over the rim of the toilet bowl, which allows the nozzle to hide inside the toilet bowl, under the rim and allows me to move this nozzle for front wash, or rear wash and even adjust it a little bit here, as needed, to get that positioning perfect.
    Now we need to connect the GoBidet to the water supply. Right now, there's pressurized water in the line. We want to avoid disconnecting anything while that's the case, or we're going to have water everywhere. We're going to turn the water supply off, this is a quarter turn off valve. Then we're going to flush the toilet and hold down on the flush, until we don't hear water flowing anymore, so that we know as much water is out of the line as possible. Despite the fact that we've gotten so much water out of the line, we still want something to absorb any water that does fall out when we...

    Thanks a lot for this vid. Those outtakes, lol! This is a very well made, not plastic, simple, very adjustable, relatively inexpensive bidet, had one for several years.
    Now a funny bidet story... One day my wife was yelling for me to come see how there was water pouring from the ceiling over the toilet. I ran and got the superintendent for the building and we ran to the upstairs apartment but found no problem. We ran back downstairs and he saw that she had accidentally bumped into the lever so that the bidet was shooting a stream of water to the ceiling so hard you couldn't' tell WTF was happening.

      @@ManyBidets LOL. I have a new story. Yesterday one of my neighbors moved out and left some things to go to Goodwill or whatever.Included was a bidet that had a wi-fi control panel with a ridiculous list of options to choose from. The first charity didn't what it, and I thought, why would anyone want a used toilet seat and was going to toss, but decided to look it up. It was like $800. So when I told tat to the next charity they were happy to take it.

    Just a tip for the inexperienced during troubleshooting. This pressure setting is pretty sensitive. If you wrap the toilet seat in plastic wrap, you can let it run at full pressure. This will also keep you from shooting the ceiling or yourself. 😅 The ceiling is drying as I write. My unit needed to have the nut tightened at the top of the unit under the arm, but it didn’t leak on low. A little tightening, and it was fixed.

    Long time GB user here. It works great and I wish I installed it sooner! Did not bother trying to get hot water. Getting hot water might be nice, but for me that would mean a much more complicated plumbing project. Initially I was concerned cold water would be uncomfortable but it does not bother me at all. WARNING: Some (more modern plastic) toilet seats have a built-in contour on the bottom side that partially "wraps around" the rim of the bowl. Go Bidet requires about 3/8" clearance between the seat and the rim of the toilet bowl, i.e., it requires a toilet seat that has a FLAT BOTTOM and is reasonably rigid, otherwise there could be insufficient space for the GB lines that run over the edge of the bowl.

    Hi Dan...I Luv!!! My Go Bidet. It has stood the Test of Time. It's been with me for more than 20 Years. EZ to Install and to Remove. All though mine is one of the first models. Mine does not have the long extension in the top back. I Luv the fact that the only hardware tools required is Putty tape(plumbers tape) and an adjustable wrench. PS Don't Forget to: Turn off the Water Valve from the Main Wall Knob then drain ALL the toilet water tank out, before starting this EZ project. I lost my Plastic Toilet Spacer. I gotta get one of those. Enjoy your GoBidet. Thank-U for this Video.😉😁

    Question: If I install the bidet into the left side toilet seat hole, how can I also install the left side toilet seat bolt in that same hole? I have had these units in the past in both of our bathrooms. We loved them very much. Unfortunately we pretty much wore them out so disposed and then couldn't find replacements. So glad I found you. My husband installed them but he has passed away so I will be doing the install. I think I can do it but came up with the above question. Thank you.

    I'm seeing modern toilet seats with a different connection to the bowl. On toilets with a skirt, the seat connects with a top screw instead of a bolt with nut underneath. Does this bidet still work if you remove the supplied threads completely?

    Complaints from us and friends are that people's right leg hits the controller section so we removed it and returned it. Would be nice if they could manage to make that controller handheld instead of fixed so it wouldn't get in the way.

    • @ManyBidets
      @ManyBidets  2 года назад

      Thanks so much for sharing. This is a very common complaint when it comes to non-electric bidet seats, and one of the main reasons we recommend electric units 9 times out of 10. Non-electric units can't have hand held remotes, as there's no way for the signal from the controller to make it to the bidet. Check out some of our most popular electric seats here: ruclips.net/video/P31y6CuITgg/видео.html

      @@ManyBidets Why not fabricate it with hoses and a wall-mount hook? My issue with the seats is not only does it feel like a potty toilet because it takes up so much room to hold the tank and wand, you end up leaning forward with a small hole for the butt to sit and it feels abnormal.
