@@NEprimo Yeah, the cars are incredibly fast, not disputing that. But in my opinion, there was something about how the cars sounded in 2010 and 2011 with the blown diffuser, even after that with the Lotus that Kimi drove. I think there was something so exciting about the sound, it gave a real sense of speed. There is nothing that really compares now, I think the Honda sounded great last year, especially when it wasn't on throttle, and I really enjoyed the 2018 Ferrari. But even though I liked those sounds, it just doesn't compare to it's predecessors
@fransisigos no, he's correct. 2005 was the last year of V10s, while 2014 was the first year of V6s. That statement was 100% correct and kinda scary. Innovation in F1 flies.
The Brackley cars always sounded smoother than other teams that used the Mercedes engine because of the gearbox design, even the Honda V8 sounded smooth too and its something ive noticed with the current V6 hybrids as well.
Incredible Honda engine sound.the Best ever.
Honda RA106 is my favourite car in 2006.
I went to Hungary in 2006. Honda's engine was incredible to the rest of others. It's hard to describe it.
What a great sound
I can't believe we went from V10s to V6s in 10 years
average lap speed was highest ever in 2020 for the record, so the cars are still fast, actually faster overall
