This shows what great musicians Rammstein are. Playing this piece live in this raw version just with a piano in front of tenth of thousands - respect! Also Till is showing his vocal capabilities. Love it!

I knew you would love it! 🙂 For me this performance really is a special moment for two reasons: Till, who we know has stage fright but at this moment has no character to hide behind, guess that's why he has the eyes closed during the major part of the song. And then Flake who usually plays the clown on stage but here he can show that he is capable of doing much more than just that! ..never realise Rammstein played the panio version live..amazing
I was lucky to see Rammstein during this tour in 2013. This was the only tour where they played the piano version from Mein Herz Brennt. They never played that song live again after that.

The 'offical' video version of this is haunting, beautiful and terrifying. It's incredible. Normally I would say that I prefer Rammstein live, but in the case of this version, of this song, I have to say the 'studio' verison is more .... don't even know what to say, it's just 'more'. I hope you get a chance to give it a listen and watch! (the visuals are so simple yet powerful)

I think Till was very stressed here, hence the eyes closed. He never was too comfortable performing like this with barely any music accompying him.
