I gave it a try Raji, and my sample turned out PERFECT!!! I did take my time, and paused the video as needed, but I got it!
Do you have a video tutorial on your channel for a semi circle made in half double crochet? If not, would you consider making one? If half double crochet is possible for a semi circle, of course.
EDIT: I tried an HDC version of this on my own with slightly different stitch counts, and it WORKED as well! 😊

Is there a reason why you insert the hook under the hole of the stitch? Can it be done on the stitch?

Yes definitely...you can make it on the stitch 😊but Under the stitch gives a seamless finish....hope this helps 😊
