Did you grow up with these like I did? Let me know!

I grew up with these in 80’s. The recipe was called Bessie Bars and they used Special K instead of Rice Krispies. It is a slightly different texture and taste. They are very good!

You're not kidding about them being dangerous! I usually have decent self control with treats but if scotcheroos are around, all bets are off! I will eat them until I'm ill!

My most favorite from my 1960's childhood (hands down over the marshmallow kind of rice crispy bars... which get hard soon) ... I still make these every so often for a treat, or cut in 1/2 and make an 8x8 pan. So easy. And Oh! The smell of the warmed peanut butter and butterscotch when making... LOVE. 😍 The butterscotch and chocolate combo can't be beat. They are hard not to eat the whole pan up within days! Thanks for sharing ~

I've been bingeing your content so apologies for commenting on an older video but I couldn't help it with this one! I have the original magazine cut-out recipe from 1964 from my mom's recipe file. She said this was a "secret recipe" and my sister and I couldn't share it with anyone; "if they didn't get the recipe back then, too bad" was her motto, even though no one I know was even alive then. She passed away in 1998 but with the internet I know she would have been fit to be tied if she knew it was all out there now! LOL These are a holiday staple at our house and they don't last very long!!

The peanut sauce would be fantastic on ice cream! It's very close to Amish Peanut Butter Spread if you've ever had that. Also....I'm pretty sure I've made these for you...........so you've eaten BUTTERSCOTCH!
