I'm always late at taking my daughter to school so she eats in transit, usually buy organic pre-made bars but I'm going to try these out. These home-made ones are like little hugs....
Aw I love that you called it little hugs. One tip is that if you want them to hold together a little better, add more honey than my recipe called for...it will be sweeter, but it will hold together better as a bar you can take with you on transit.
Literally jumped up and made these! Delicious! I had old cereal and peanut butter plus honey. Great way to get rid of cereal and use up the honey/peanut butter . Thanks😁
Nice...but keep in mind that you might have to increase the amt of honey and press down hard in the pan if you really want them to stick together. Otherwise they might crumble apart after cutting them.
I TRIED SOMETHING AWESOME i got my honey and chocolate (melted) then i put my cheerios inside then i put that into a tray then right after i started to make toffee with strawberries inside after your done making the toffee poor it onto the cheerio honey mix and add chocolate chips on the top after then bam delicious treat!.
Oh nice! I haven't tried it with rice krispies myself but glad to know it turned out well. The funny thing is I just made these bars yesterday as a snack for our son so great minds think a like! 😉
This Is the perfect snack especially because most of us have Cheerios and I really needed a way to get rid of them and I feel like this is the best way
I just tried this with Rice Krispies instead of Cheerios and crunchy peanut butter (it was all I had on hand, but let's pretend I wanted more texture in there) and they are delicious! Definitely a little crumbly, so I may have to tweak the measurements, or just use creamy peanut butter, but the taste was phenomenal!
That's cool because I always wondered if rice krispies would be good like this. Yeah, maybe make the honey and peanut butter ratio equals, or the honey ratio more, and try again for next time.
Going to try using chocolate frosted flakes. Have more boxes than needed as they were only 49 cents and no one cares for them . So will try them so it will give a chocolate peanut butter.
I used recee puffs soo good lol any cereal will work looser cereal like flakes youll need more peanut butter you can also use melted marshmallow and butter
Yay! I make it all the time too, especially as a nice snack for the whole family. I keep it in the fridge and chip away at it any time of the day....how bout you?
Wow...that's good to know that it works with natural peanut butter too...I'll have to try that since I tend to like it when sweets are less sweet anyways! Yum...roasted peanut...
Hey I didn't think of this either...let's all thank Pinterest. But I thought it was still worth it to make a video because it's what I've been making a lot lately in real life!
I sat down in my kitchen and went online to find how to?... and my Cheerios were sitting in front of me and next to was my peanut buttter and across the room was my honey and pan... I didn’t try your recipe yet... ( I am walking challenged currently ( without anyone with me it’s not safe)) so what I did do was toss my Cheerios in with my craisins, raisins and seed blends I will toss them into my yogurt ( maybe a parfait) You hubby and son are adorable.. ty for taking the time
Glad you could find some inspiration from the items in your pantry! Hope you do get to make it and try it out some time soon. Appreciate the positive vibes and nice comment.

Its always good to see you guys Lincoln getting so big hi Joe! Julie love love the new hair beautiful as always! This perfect for my 55yo baby aka hubby who still eats cheerios like they came out yesterday but some peanuts butter add I'm going to be a star😁🤩Thanks yummy I can speak to almond or cashew butter the work just like peanut butter in all my recipes like ENGERY bars & balls
ooh...good to know! If it works the same in your energy balls, then I'm sure it will work fine for this recipe too! Haha...your hubby eats Cheerios like they came out yesterday haha 😆
It could possibly work but I'm afraid it might be on the sweeter side (for me, a little too sweet). Also, not sure how well the Nutella would hold the cereal together, but maybe give it a go on a smaller scale as a test batch if you really want to?
You could probably try maple syrup, corn syrup, or agave, but I can't vouch for the flavor,m level of sweetness, and how well it will hold together. You basically need something sticky and sweet!
Hi, I don't think normal butter will bind the cereal together. Anyone out there in the Yoon-iverse know if there's any other nut butter alternative that's kind of creamy and thick like peanut butter is?
Sorry but I don't know the nutrition facts. You could probably estimate by knowing the nutrition facts of the 3 individual ingredients and how much of each you're using of each.
I mean....it could probably work with any cereal but in my opinion, I think frosted flakes would be too sweet. I think a plainer cereal, like corn flakes would be better.
Like melted chocolate to bind the cereal? I have no clue...all I could imagine is that the overall result may end up too sweet. But I honestly haven't tried it with anything other than nut butter so I'm not sure.
Honestly, I have no clue, but my fear is that the overall end result might be too sweet, as Nutella has a ton of sweetness to it already. However, I could see that it could possibly bind the cereal together since the consistency is similar to nut butters.
I haven't tried it without the honey but I feel like it won't hold together. The peanut butter alone probably wouldn't be sticky enough to keep the bars from falling apart once you bite into them.
Thanks for being a new subbie Rachel. I hope you snoop around and stumble on some other recipes you might like. Thanks for being part of our Yooniverse!
1/2 cup peanut butter - 1/3 honey- 3 and 1/2 cup Cheerios

I didn't have any honey, so I used syrup and it's SOOOO GOOOD . thanks a million, you have truly made my day
Omg thank you because I didn't have honey I used the syrup and it came out delish...
Thinking about opening a little home bakery and I think that this could be an easy, cheap, and delicious snack to go with.

Oh my gosh I’m gluten free but I want to try this with rice Chex squares or rice crispy treats
You know, I thought only Cheerios would work, but maybe it would be fine with other plain cereal too! Let me know how it goes!
Original Cheerios are GF, has the celiac stamp of approval.
You have to be joking that you're not aware they're is no wheat in a cheerio.
I added a pinch of salt and Molasses instead of honey, it's so yum!!! Thank you!!
I def agree with you on the salt...I think it would help balance out the sweetness and great idea about the molasses!
Brilliant ... These look even better than rice krispie treats! 😋
It's a toss up because I love Rice Krispie treats too! I make them ALL the time!
@@ChefJulieYoon lol y'all betraying RISE CRISPES THATS MY CHILD HOOD RIGHT THERE

Spaghetti sauce
Use the non stick spray to help the paper stick 😂
