Getting off the couch now to make these!
    Update:
I made these last night, using an 8x8 pan, coconut oil and used blueberries and mini chocolate chips as my "extras." AMAZING!
    I'll definitely make these again!
Next time I dehydrate strawberries I'll make strawberry and chocolate chip.

I've made them now! I used coconut oil (72 grams which is supposed to be 1/3 american cup). It worked very well and held together brilliantly! They were just a little brittle and tended to crumble when I cut them, so I'll bake them for 25 minutes next time. They are DELICIOUS!!! Really RECOMMEND!!

Made these this morning. Wow they are do easy, quick and really tastes great. I did a couple of things different. I used raw sugar instead of brown sugar, and I used 2 tablespoons of cocoa instead of chocolate chips, and I topped the whole thing off my sprinkling a little of pink Himalayan. These things turned out awesome. Thanks Jenny!!

Well, I've got my fifth one in the oven now, seems I'm addicted to these things! I don't use the coconut (don't like it) but use flax seeds instead (2 TBS), and have replaced 2 TBS of brown sugar with maple syrup, which I put in the mix with oil and honey, and vanilla. Love these bars!!! Tasty, healthy, crunchy! Perfect snack any time of day or night! I'm glad they are so easy to make. I can only go one day without them, then I have to make a new batch! Five Stars!!!***** Thank you so much for this wonderful recipe!

For 2-3 days you can store them in an air-tight container or I sometimes use a zip lock baggie with all the air pressed out. For longer than that I would store them in the fridge and they will keep for weeks. If they start drying out, you could also wrap them individually in plastic wrap to store. Granola bars also freeze well. Whichever way you go, try to keep them from touching if they are not wrapped in plastic. Wax paper is good for keeping them separated.

Just found this great video at the end of 2017 and so great to see you even if this video is rather old. Loved your talk show. Always looking for recipes to replace unhealthy boxed items from the grocery store and this is perfect. Hint: to get parchment paper to lay flat I use a small spray bottle filled with water. Spray the pan very lightly on the bottom and the paper will lay flat and it will dry out very quickly when you put it in the oven. Also can be done for no bake recipes as well.

Jenny, My granddaughter returned from pre-school to ask if we could make granola bars from scratch. We viewed 21 videos after viewing your recipe second; I returned to your simple version because we decided with mom on three requirements for a decent g-bar which are flavor, texture, and firm but not too crispy. I purchased one ingredient the next day and came back to the video (you are funny but so natural) and made the bars. We all raised our eyebrows and said, "These are really really good!"
The next week I added a tbl. more oil and mixed the honey in well, that was important. Thank you. Today we make gummy bears.

@Crabbyprepper - I kept mine in a plastic storage container on the counter for 3-4 days and then I wrapped each one in plastic and kept them in the fridge for two more weeks, but they should be brought to room temperature before eating, just to soften them up.

from wikipedia "Talk to the hand" (or "tell it to the hand")
is an English language slang phrase associated with the 1990s. It
originated as a sarcastic way of saying one does not want to hear what the person who is speaking is saying.
