I had a 30 minute game against a tempo mage as a midrange paladin with Reno (but I still had two of some cards) where I eventually won by forcing him to Tree of Life when I had board control but little health left, plus he'd run out of cards to play and stuff because of all the card draw effects.

completely agree kripp Flamewaker has ruined the banana brawl this one and i think another one. Its BS how blizz hasn't banned certain cards just like they have done in adventures like banning alex on Loatheb. It surprises me how Flamewaker hasn't been just removed from tavern brawl

The best part about this tavern brawl is that I get to play against secret pally over and over again to have the true ladder experience

I created a deck a while ago that contained only minions and I never thought it would really come in handy, until this tavern brawl. I have a template for this deck in which I pick a class and replace some of the template decks minions with the corresponding classes own minions.
Murlocs felt pretty damned strong for this brawl. A lot of the low cost spells are buffs and straight damage, meaning it's very easy to build up a powerful board of Murlocs very quickly and end the game by turn 5 or 6. Particular spells that make this work are Power of the Wild, Confuse, Power World Shield, Hand of Protection, Blessing of Might, etc, which when combined with Murloc buffs make for even more extreme board situations than a normal Murloc deck could get.
Were mages a problem in this tavern brawl? I saw a lot of them, but found using Bran + discover effects to be the ultimate strategy. Guarantee yourself good minions, plus get spells to play with your Summoning Stone? Turns out it's preeeeety good.
My first game of this brawl the opponent played like 5 7-mana cards, and every single one got sprint. He eventually just gave up and played all of his sprints and sudoku'd out of the game.
Love this tavern brawl, it's very fun!
Never rely on only two 9 drops, Kripp. Where's Ysera and Nozdormu? Also, Sneed's is great because if you get twisting nether, you clear the board and summon a random legendary.
I played an all taunts deck just for the hell of it. It was surprisingly effective.
Also played an all 1-2 cost minion deck. It failed most of the time, but was fun when it worked. Secrets!
Got so many crazy games out of this tavern brawl....lovin every minute of it too

Face hunter worked really well against mages. Having a few spells in there also hard countered millhouse really well - went 24-4 overall.
Never had problems with flamewaker mage and I played pretty much a deathrattle rogue plus some tech that works with the brawl like gadgetzan auctioiner and such.
I actually played a Hobgoblin Deck this Tavern Brawl and had INCREDIBLE success.
All these kripperinos :D So funny :D

Also MCT automatically takes summoning stone in this brawl. It happened 5 times for me so that is something to consider.
That second game was basically how it feels like playing against combo decks in vintage mtg.
The 2/1 whelp survives the Auchenai + Tree of Life Combo in the third clip. So it wins the game. DRAGONS FTW!! :DDDDD
I had a lot of success with a Wurlock deck this Brawl around, it was quite fun. Almost as if I was playing Secret Warlock lol.
I had a lot of fun playing otk rogue with mana addict, questing adventurer, summoning stone, and conceal. 30+ damage in one turn was sweet.
Krips rogue death rattle deck he posted a few days prior with Stalag and Feugen did really well for me on this brawl.
It consistently screwed over the flame walker mage too.

Yup. Just like how Ice Block would stop it. Immune means immune.
Ice block wouldn't but malganis would... Ice block doesn't proc on your own turn.

I used a mill rogue in this tavern brawl, it worked fairly often (except vs mages and face hunter)
I kind of had this idea for a while as a mechanic but maybe it would fit in a tevern brawl more to sacrifise cards in order to summon higher mana cost cards like yu-gi-oh?
Ill be honest I played a Raptor Rogue deck very similar to your version and rarely lost. Thanks to you.

note: if u Millhouse Manastorm and then they use summoning stone combo, every summoned minion will be either wisps or target dummies.
Lore walker can be pretty crazy in this too. I played a game where me and my opponent both had 2-3 lorewalkers just because of convert.
Auchenei + tree of life is Hearthstone's nuclear combo. Mutually Assured Destruction haha.
Kripp - I have to say that there was 1 card in this format that was more broken than Flamewaker, but I didn't see anyone run it. I only came across it because someone received one from a Summoning Stone, but playing against this card was next to impossible.
That card is Anub'Arak - a 9-cost minion (so it gives you Tree of Life every time) that goes back to your hand when it dies. For those slow on the uptake - it is nearly impossible to deal with a 9/4 that produced 4/4s and grants the ability to reset all life totals each time it is played. Even with board control, it is eventually just too much attrition.
And I for one didn't see anyone actually hard-playing silence or polymorph affects. Yes, they were getting them with Spells, but I dare say turn 9 Anub'Arak, followed by Preparation and Gang-up is going to be way more than any opponent can deal with. I don't know if the Preparation is worth it, but I'm sure there are enough other good Gang-up targets that given your opponent one chance to deal with the Anub'Arak (and I mean completely - not just to kill it) before you can Gang it up isn't going to matter most games.
I had an opponent get one from Summoning Stone. I tried to deal with it as best I could until I finally pulled a Polymorph from a 4-cost minion, so I could permanently deal with it. My opponent's deck wasn't otherwise great and I managed to maintain board control the whole time, so I would have likely won anyway, but when he did another Summoning Stone/Tree of Life and got yet another Anub'Arak, it was more than I wanted to deal with, so I conceded.
"Nononononono, we don't care about lethal, we wanna get that fucking - uh oh."
I played Combo Rogue. It was sooooo much fun to just always have a combo advantage.
Questing adventurers are also great, you can use many spells in one turn so it is instantly big... if you have a lot of 1, 2, 3 and 7 minions that change board control + summoning stone you are good to go
Add Bolf Ramshield to the Soulpriest + Tree of Life combo and you win instead of draw.

You'd be surprised as to how effective 1-drop decks can be in this tavern brawl xD
questing adventurer. You save up like 2 spells, then on turn 6 or 7 you combo questing adveturer with another minion plus 4 spells, and you get a 7/7 plus your other drop, plus the effect of all the combined spells.
A card that works VERY well in this brawl is Naturalize. There are many high threat targets and Naturalize deals with dem nicely while milling even the faster decks. I play a druid that runs 2 Northsea Kraken, 2 Volcanic Lumberers and Cenarius for 5 Trees of Life in total. The rest of the deck is basicly just taunt and boardclear creatures like Abomination and Pyromancer and Naturalize. It's super fun... If you're not playing against fucking mages.

I didn't try that, because it's hard enough to not mill yourself already with all those situational spells I end up saving for the right moment. All those Sprints and Arcane intellects are really annoying sometimes.
at 42:30, he hero powered+coiled the addict. Why not use that on the soot spewer and save your kezan 2 health? What would he have drawn that would change that play?
Me and my friend played against each other using our legendary decks. Was tremendous fun as when we got to 9 drop legends we kept playing tree of life to keep it going! Got upto 20 fatigue. Even tried it against other players and I actually won a game and against a mage as well!
Will 2016 be the year of 1080p? Actually we are slowly starting to head into 4k while Kripp is stuck in 720p
This brawl is the one i had most fun with :) Kraken + 1 life "Tree of life' , Chromaggius + 'Lay on Hands' , Mill decks Priest with high mana curve :D

The great thing is i have fun even when i lose, because if your opponent knows how to play, you see really cool plays.

one of my favorites from this tavern brawl is a guy had auchenia soul priest and 2 life wells, it was hilarious i just didnt play creatures for him to kill his cards on it and he didnt quite understand and killed himself
So, that soulpriest/ tree of life combo. I was playing warlock, because why not. This priest had played 2 tree of life so far. The turn before I had pulled an iceblock from a 3 drop. You can guess where this is headed, right? He killed himself. I laughed SO hard. Thank for the free win buddy.
I love how the opponent playing excavated evil won him the last match, because he stopped Krakkerino.
That last game though. Epic
Playing sustain paladin was really fun in this brawl, but the mages were still pretty scary.

Questing Adventurer was pretty sweet in this one.
Also ran 2 Pyromancers and a Geddon because screw those aggro decks.
I was actually salty too on that last match. That's a tough one to take lol.
I went up against a guy who was playing a priest deck with Velen; he would stockpile all his damage cards and win when I had full health. Fun fucking brawl bro.
I played a Mill Druid and won almost every game. Love this brawl.
I'm running a zoo warlock in this brawl and it gets out of hand pretty quickly

I've been having a lot of fun with Mana Addict in this brawl.
Since you can load out so many spells in one turn, I've been going around bashing people for like, 10 damage if they don't clear it right away.
I suggest using an echo mage deck with summoning stone for this brawl. Along with two flamewakers because why not. 'Nuff said.

I did Kripp's idea except I combined it with Ramp Druid so I can consistently get to the 9-costs before my opponent.
Kripp you forgot about that new TGT card that kills all minions except highest attack minions. For the 9 mana spell.

Now I understand why I had people concede to me on turn two or three when I was playing mage in this brawl. I don't even have flamewaker yet, but I did have mana wyrms and a couple of other typical tempo mage minions in the deck.
What about playing multiple 3 drops to try and get shield block then do the tree of life thing?
I got my opponent to concede after my first turn, once. two innervates to play a summoning stone, giving me a bane of doom. I used it to kill their turn one minion, which got me a madder bomber from the stone, and a Mal'ganis from the spell!
Amazing how much QQ Kripperino has against mage. I played mage purely because it had mana wurm (don't have flamewaker), but no card I encountered was as crushing as Questing Adventurer and Summoning Stone this brawl.
