I'm in Canada, and every once in a while we still see George V and VI coins...
Never seen one ever. Like in circulation?
@@ryanmcphee2469 Yup. Still around... No more pennies, though... 🙁
Crazy to think that this makes him the first monarch ever to start off with decimal coins.
@@ThatsRoyal I mean, he has a point. The Queen reigned for so long that she was even queen back when the pound used to be made up of 20 shillings and 12 pence. Thanks to decimalisation, Charles will be the first monarch to appear in coins like the 20p and 50p coins. Those have only come into being since the pound is now made up of 100 pence.
where do these coins go first after they are minted?
@@ThatsRoyal I couldn’t agree more with you
🛑🛑⬆👆 SCAM ALERT👆⬆🛑🛑
Hello Hyun-Shik, regarding the decimals, what they are saying, is that the change in the coin itself, is as big an event as what the introduction of the decimal point system was. The reason for this is that the Queen's very long reign (70 years and 92 days exactly!), was a significant event.
Love the image of the handsome gentleman.
Wow that is one very talented artist..the representation he has done of our King is brilliant 👏 🌟❤️👑
Who cares!
Really? I think they've drawn Charles' ears much more smaller than they actually are in order to fit them on the new coins.
I wonder when we receive our first King Charles III currency and postage here in Canada.🇨🇦❤️😊
God bless the king 🙏
@@iociccio936 The same could be said about you. Grow up kid!

they look so nice!
I want one! I have an old 1 P coin bearing Her late Majesty from when I studied overseas, will be nice paired with Charles Rex. 🥰
@@iociccio936 I see no insult. Rex being Latin for King
@@marilynwoolford-chandler1161 Correct! Like Her late Majesty signed her name Elizabeth R (R for Regina which is Latin for queen), King Charles will probably from time to time sign as Charles R. Even though I’m American I love history of royalty! Japanese Chrysanthemum Throne is also ancient and fascinating to me. I follow Princess Mako and her new “commoner” Husband Kei, who just passed the NYC bar exam after 3 tries! The test is known as the toughest in the country. American royalty, late JFK, Jr. passed after 3 tries as well. Kei withstood the withering rejection and slander against his mom (!) of the Japanese Royals to marry Princess Mako (princess rejected her family’s offer of 1.2 million parting gift -they thought💲more important than ❤️-and her younger sister broke protocol to hug and kiss her sibling and wish her well 🥲), so I knew Kei could master the test! Blessings over their freedom life! They met at university. Divine match. Kudos! 🎉
Simply beautiful God is in his midst I love you lord only you lord can turn this beautiful history into a blessing 🎉congratulations your majesty May the Blessed lord bless you your children grandchildren and your beautiful Queen by your side. Long live the king Peace of Christ to you sir and your family Father guide his steps
Wow! Look at all those coins! That's unique!
King Charles III is unique, his own man and sovereign, not at all like his late Mother. Watch how he handles things. Scorpio. I won’t say passive/aggressive because it will feel very direct/aggressive. 🎯 Put on the whole armor of God because this is only the beginning… 🫡 😣🥺

The British royal family especially the monarchs are so lucky because they never dies through their portraits on coins and banknotes.
I would suggest you all that keep collecting of HM Queen Elizabeth II notes/coins, because from the human civilization to the end of this earth no-one was and no-one will break her record. She is the only Queen whos portrait were used when she was not in line to become as Queen in 1935 followed by that from 1953 to 2022 the money was printed in her name.
It's not only in UK but also in 34 countries.
Hence I told you that god only bring her in the top list in numismatic field.
She was for 70 years on money means 2nd in number but largest number of money than any other individual.
Nither HM King George V nor HN Queen Victoria are closer to her even they were ruling over the nation's.
Remember that number 34.
By the way this series of HM King Charles III was preety impressive.

That's not the only UK coin that is a cool shape. The 20 pence is a equilateral curve heptagon and the £1 coin is a dodecagonal.

Vive le Roi Charles III long vie sa majesté
God save the king! I might’ve liked to see his image, once crowned, of course which won’t happen until next year. Probably best to have them struck sooner, rather than later, I suppose, but it would’ve been lovely to see his coined image with crown, unless this IS Charles III, as he wishes to be viewed.
I read today that not only his the King facing in the opposite direction to the Queen , he does not wear a crown. These changes are traditional.
Before Britain changed to decimal currency in the early 1970’s it was fun for children to collect coins with many past kings heads on them. That all changed with the new decimal coins, so many Britons have only ever known coins with Queen Elizabeth’s head on them.
Incredibly, the design of the coin looked elegant with the face of King Charles III, and it was created quickly. 👍😃
It's going to take years and years for them to dominate, though they'll arrive eventually. It'll happen with the natural introduction and pull that happens with currency in general, so there's not really much of an additional cost to this.
Minted ! 😁 ❤ 👍 👍

Mr Io Ciccio, my dearest friend, you have just asked a "Question" of each subjects on this planet!
Let me explain. No one is truly powerful nor regretfully powerless , we are only humans and we are not great heros, great people or even mighty ones at all. 工 pay great respect to the Empire because of their contributions to the "Freedom" of their people that no one will object within their judgements. But I respect you too!Having being a patriot to your regime without hesitation and hope you will have a better life , good luck and good health. God bless you.
Yours Sincerely , James VVVVVV

You've just contradicted yourself. First you agree with me, then you say he has no authority or qualifications to crown anyone.

Yes you did, when you said "Exactly".
The circulation of the new coins featuring King Charles III that which has opened a new Era of the constitutional monarchy indicates that a more advanced and thorough development of great Britain will be brought forward in the years to come.
Are they only doing 50p
I noticed the coin legend says "Charles" rather than "Carolus", which was seen on the coinage of Charles II. Any reason for the change?
Because most people nowadays would be confused by the Latin.
@@brianboru7684 these are only first edition coins, it might change to "Carolus" later. After all, the "D•G• REX•F•D" parts are still Latin. When William takes the throne, most are going to love his coins
"Gulielmus V D•G•REX•F•D"

? goúd?
Awesome bruvs init 👏🏽..
Thx u 🙌🏽 💀 😤 ♎️...
got my BU of it today
I would like a coin
Does that mean the £ is only worth 50 PE with his face on it. He is unrecognizable by the way. That "noble" profile is totally invented and has no resemblance to the 74 year old person. When will they do the Consort or is that up to Madam Tussauds ?
I wonder what will happen next...?
How can I am an American order a coin and one of the Queen's?
His Charles II Was Charles Monnard
But why is it without the crown?
More like
After 8 Mints 🤣🤣🤣🤣
2017-2045
what's the bird doing on Charles ear???
Will a new portrait be made once His Majesty is crowned?
The first portrait of Queen Elizabeth II was used from 1953 until decimalization in 1971, so my guess is that this will be the only portrait of King Charles III we'll see on coins unless he's inherited his parents' longevity genes and reigns into his 90s. (Also, his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, lived to be 100, so it's reasonable to guess that in Charles' case "long live the King" is more than just the name of the national anthem.)
*IF IS GOLD...GOD.SAVE.THE.KINGDON...OF INFLATION...*
First coins I get will be kept then spend every other like normal.
then he suddenly passes and they need to begin again minting a bunch of wills
They’re talking about how expensive it is to make new money and they’re also in a financial crunch in the country. Why don’t they just leave Queen Elizabeth on the coins she’s earned it she was queen for 70 years don’t change the money and waste money making new coins
Because we have a new king. The same is being done in Australia.
Sue Greco well done confirming you don't know how anything works
I have some farthings with Queen Elizabeth II on them.... And half crowns and other denominations that haven't been in circulation for over 50 years.
Why there is no crown on king head in coin
Don’t know why but this gives me anxiety
I need job from Royal family pls.
Time to start using cash again lads...
I can't wait to see the face of King Charles 3 in Paper Pound
Did he say Charles the 1st?
