Neat bag! Regarding the return input; it's often used with so called Beta-snakes. A 2x XLR, 1 mini jack to camera cable. Let's say you do a news story, which goes directly to air, production wants the audio embedded in the video file. You wire up the mini jack to the headphone output of the camera, into the return port of the mixer. So you can monitor the direct camera audio. Man I'm think you are young :) we used to roll all day long like that about 10/7 years ago, always connected to camera like a baby to his momma with an umbilical cord.
Bingo. Tethering to the camera like that is never fun, and DP's always dread it too. Just a hassle, literally, to have a long tail like that, always getting dirty with people walking on it. Double-systems basically eliminate the need for it. Heck, you really don't even need to provide a wireless hop now that Tentacle Sync makes marrying dailies together so easy to edit with...unless your DP also wants to monitor your signal. Like Vincent says, that kind of a setup is probably only used for ENG kind of shoots.
Awesome thanks for the info man greatly appreciate it, That could have helped me last year when I did some News segments I had to use one of my srcs to provide a stereo feed to the camera it came out not bad but that cable Would have made my life easy :) also yes I am quite new in this industry 3 years strong I’m trying to learn as much as I can though !!!! Thanks for sharing Vincent greatly appreciate it !!!
Yep...we ENG sound mixers need a return. I have to hear what the camera is "hearing"...and usually, this is the final mix of pic and sound, being sent to Sat truck. We never record (mostly) in ENG work, because camera handles any recorded sound and picture (mostly this applies to field work, not studio work).
I use the return so i can watch youtube while im rolling, and swith between LR and rtn :) occasionaly i use it to monitor the sound on recorded by cable to camera. In a studio or eng situation
I'm envious of your bag, I really like it A LOOOOOT (soon I'll have some new upgraded gear) we should all upload pictures of our audio bags/carts/setups to a social media service to compare and learn what others do what you said about the SD using the power of the batteries via Hirose, it does that because it detects the Hirose and that's the same port you use for the power supply and it saves the other batteries for when is disconnected (if I'm wrong feel free to correct me) about that level on ch1 moving on its own, try an update, might fix it lastly, great video Rodolfo and thanks for sharing
Yo my man !! Yeah it’s a really clean set up I am really grateful for it !!!! 🙏🙏🙏 yeah I am gonna do an update soon, oh about the Hirose that totally makes sense !!!! 🤓 yeah we should do that like a Facebook group I mean there is lots all ready but this would be ours 😎
Hey! Hermosura de soundbag!!! Disfruto mucho tus videos. He aprendido varias cosas. Gracias. Aquí viene la pregunta: cuando haces documental, qué tipo de shotgun usas y cómo configuras el equipo para no perder detalle? Saludos y viva México!
I just bought the new version of this bag with the orange inside. I'd rather have blue inside but they don't make them like that anymore. Needed more space for the 411a's well only have one now but currently looking for one more.
Loved this one Rodolfo! Your kit is awesome. You're no doubt proud of your years of progress :) I'd love to see you do a video that explores some of the settings you run with in your 633; prefade vs postfade, linking, WAV Poly vs Mono vs ISO. Keep up the great content otherwise! PS: Where do you source your low profile cables?
Bro, what lectrasonics transmitters do you use for pair with that dual lectrasonics receivers. And another question. Why do you use dual receiver instead of a simple one?
That's actually an LR receiver (4:49), not a transmitter. Rodolfo is probably tired :) I imagine he's using it as an extra receiver for an additional lav
Where do you get your labels? I would like to label my stuff including the thin stuff like boom mike. Need label to sound bag that will stick. Thank you
Don Kellie Jr. I bought myself a Brother label printer from Staes. Also available at Best Buy. There are models ya hung from $30-$70. Just make sure you choose the right tape. Now tapes run you anything from $8-$20.
@@dingdong5601 I mean it's true, no matter how old the video is. Everything is dangling around in the bag and I see a lot of wasted space. This isn't good organizing.

Yeah I keep hearing things about the Eng world I have not done that many of them it’s a different beast all together !!

you use the return for checking the audio from the camera
well done RLFO, building a good sound bag is definitely a art form in itself !
Thanks 🙏🙏 It really is !!!! Also loving the new videos keep it up !!!!! 🙂
loved the video! what's the model of the bag that your using?

Great Video! You know where to buy the screen protector for a mix pre 6?
Which brand XLR and 1/4 cables are those?

Nice job bro
another awesome informative video as always!
Thanks and thanks you should come down and teach us some game audio stuff one day :)
Thank you for sharing! Really helpful!
Bro, what lectrasonics transmitters do you use for pair with that dual lectrasonics receivers. And another question. Why do you use dual receiver instead of a simple one?
I like the duals because I can see the screen on my bag also it's just easier to make adjustments, I use the Smqv, smv and lmb from lectro
incredibly helpful as always. what is an LR transmitter and what is it used for?
That's actually an LR receiver (4:49), not a transmitter. Rodolfo is probably tired :) I imagine he's using it as an extra receiver for an additional lav
Yes that’s a receiver sorry 😞 I use that for an extra lav kit
Yes yes and yes 🤓 glad you guys are here to point out my slips 🤩🤩🤩
can you explain why you send your R channel to the Comteks? does that mean you're sending your LavMix?
Calibrate your faders, bro! Could help with them "moving" by themselves.
How to calibrate ?? I gotta look into that !!! :)

Quick and easy!
Cheers !!!!!
Where do you get your labels? I would like to label my stuff including the thin stuff like boom mike. Need label to sound bag that will stick. Thank you
I print them at a local shop, just ask for water resistant paper

what is the brand of that cables you used?
They are custom made, by cramped attic in Vancouver
great video mate!
Merci!
can you share a link to where to get all the low profile cables and which ones for that setup?
They were custom made by a local store, you can contact remote audio and get them custom made :)
Aren't you using a sync system
I do I am rocking the tentacles at the moment !! 😎
How to organizer audio bag.
Result: absolute chaos and wasted space.
Why you gotta hate? You know this is from 2018, right?
