Hey bro, the circle in the middle is where you should aim to hit. The whole purpose is to train your strike zone. Make sure you’re mindful of where you strike the pad.
@Pourusdeerperc The tape is to protect the sticks from rim ticks and dents. They last alot longer with tape plus they make the stick heavier. I could only see it being used for visual affect if the tape was your school or organization colors . If you are looking for white sticks I recommend the Ralph Hardimans. Either junior or seniors.
@@NicDunn thanks for the constructive criticism not in or never have been in a drum line but would loved to have been. Not really a thing here in the UK 🇬🇧
@@andymcinnes-24-01 I’ve heard it’s not a thing in European countries, what a shame, I could see it fitting in at your football games. Cool to know that individuals still enjoy the activity
@@NicDunn Unfortunately not - I took a real fascination to drumlines watching vids during lockdown and I now wish that bish school here had drumlines 😎 but never too late to learn new things i suppose

What practice pad feels most like a marching snare drum? I want to get a pad that has the same rebound as a marching snare.
Ahead S-hoop pad is the one in this video and is very close to a snare drum
So difficult for me right now
Slow it all the way down and it will come 😎
play it slow and with good technique, and slowly start bumping up the BPM. You'll get it, and it's gonna feel so rewarding!
wow
I have a question since i im just newbie in a marching band, in a marching band why their tape in their stick is so short it might break their sticks
The tape is just a guide for stick tricks and visuals (where to hit sticks together or the rim of a drum) hope this helps 😊
@@andymcinnes-24-01protection too it’s also an extra lair to help the durability of the stick
he has good shot zones
