Chicago looks safe! I've been here a few times to visit the shedd aquarium when I was in grade school and visiting some friends of my moms. Still its pretty big. The chicago zoo is good too. It's clean and beautiful
Chicago might very well be the best city in America. Its size is matched only by New York and LA, but unlike both of those, it is actually affordable, and unlike LA, it is a proper, true *city*, that actually adheres to the principles of urban design, and isn’t just a massive, sprawling, oversized suburb.

Chicago claims itself as the birthplace of the skyscraper in 1884. Its skyline in 2023 remains North America's 2nd largest (only behind NYC).
World Trade Center is the tallest building in NYC in the USA, right behind the Willis Tower and the US Bank Tower.
@@kennypalermo9071 I think it is beat by one of them skinny towers... yet World Trade Center only got it from Sears (Willis)Tower by its spire as antenna do not count it was decreed. Still the rooftop of ole Sears is higher than the rooftop of the World Trade Center. Chicago was going to get a mega-tall in the earlier 2000s. It had its foundation in and the Crash of 07 08 stopped it in its tracks never to restart. That would have been 200 stories. The crash killed another supertall in Chicago halted at 20 stories and finished a few years later as a 50 story vs a 96-story. Trump Tower Chicago was half-up and Duestchbank financing already in place it was finished in 09 standing proud.... just originally planned just after 9 11 it was to be tallest in the world and scaled back to 90+ stories with a spire. A new one just completed also with no spire is lower than Trump Tower.

OMG yeah... what a way to end a nice video... those remnant original Cabrini Row-homes the city still does not know what to do with it..... at least the high-rises are gone.... yes them couple blocks guess was a random turn yet gave the video a down ending sadly. Also going down LaSalle St abruptly ended.... otherwise still a great video drive and great day weatherwise.
No State Street in the Loop, by the Chicago Theater? Or Lower Wacker or Lake Shore Drive. You missed some pretty important streets
