Salutations infinite flight, I’ve enjoyed playing this game for a while and it’s been a pleasure so far. I’ve seen some old aircraft’s such as the Embrader, 747, and A380 and I was wondering when those are going to get some recognition. Can’t wait to fly the new a220!
The Embraer E175 and E190 are confirmed to be reworked in the future

If you look up infinite flight’s development roadmap, they explain that their are next going to rework the F/A-18 Hornet that’s currently in the game ; followed by the Embraer E-190 and E-175! News hasn’t been released passed that, but it’s still exciting!
One thing to always remember: weather conditions will dictate how the plane should be configured. A great tutorial which provided all the basics for the aircraft, but the landing speeds, rotational speeds and other items as such are going to differ based on weight, wind, and visibility. ILS, as I have been told, is generally for poor visibility, where a GPS approach is the most common method. Otherwise, I picked up a few interesting items about the 220, and will look to apply them to a test flight in the future. Thanks for this Tyler!

Hey! Really comprehensive tutorial it was! Only one mistake.. you should always contact the Unicom / tower when you are below 10k feet! Otherwise everything was flawless.. Time to fly this beauty 😍

Great tutorial, its great to have the A220 as a new addition to Infinite Flight. Only one question, when will Miami (KMIA) will be released in 3d? It is my home airport and my favorite place to takeoff from and land to. Any info will be appreciated. Hats off to you guys for all the hard work you do. 👍

Great job infinite flight! I can’t help but ask when your guys are going to bring ground lightening into the game. It’s really hard to see without it and I think it would make the game just that much more realistic!

When will we be getting some rework for the 747
Great job on this aircraft, but I struggle a bit with the takeoff performance. I'm not a pilot, but have been observing hundreds of A220 departures as a spotter and a few as a PAX, and can say: That thing is climbing pretty fast. Using the specs of this tutorial (speed and throttle) I always get a climb rate comparable to a fully loaded A330. Idk whether I keep messing up flying this thing or whether the airlines operating the A220 from my home airport are using different company procedures compared to those used for this tutorial, but I was a bit surprised how slowly it climbs out in IF.
Hey, Joel! Thanks for the feedback and we appreciate the kind words. A lot of the figures used would be considered "flex" settings and are quite conservative. Generally speaking, 80% T/O power is quite low and the A220 has a good bit of power left for you to use!
The key here is energy management. With the exact settings used in the video I was able to achieve 5000fpm in the climb after accelerating. It's all about pitching for the desired speed and not allowing yourself to get behind the power curve. If you find it struggling, add a few % to your T/O setting, especially in high winds, to see what works for you. Cheers!

I've been playing around quite a bit since SimBrief doesn't provide V-speeds for the A223 yet, but I figured out a T/O throttle and speed table which gives me V/S between 2500 and 2800ft/min, what I would consider as reasonable. I start at 85% for loads lower yhan 60% and end up at 90% throttle for loads higher than 90%, with Vr going from 135 to 150 (+2% load = +1 KIAS) and Vc being Vr + 20 KIAS. I couldn't verify those speeds with an official source though.
@@joelbenz9840 Remember you are climbing at a speed, not a VS. initial climb is V2+10 until you get to 1000’, then it’s lower the nose and accelerate to 250 and retract the flaps on schedule. After that climb out at 250 until 10,000’, then accelerate to 290 and keep trucking. You should not have any issues seeing good climb rates as the 220 has lots of power, even at higher weights. An “average” TO N1 setting is around 85%, but I’ve seen as low as 76 in a very light airplane. The 220 is smart; as you climb out once it switches to CLB thrust it will gradually increase to about 92-93% N1 and stay there until you reach cruise altitude at whatever your selected speed is. I will say it is a bit of a dog above FL330; most people switch to 500 fpm around 33,000 and it should hold .76 from there. Enjoy!
