Sol is guilty because his research helped create the Gears, and the Gears caused countless deaths and destroyed the world. He didn't know Justice was Aria until Revelator.
He's "guilty" for all three of those reasons. Betrayed his wife by killing her; Betrayed Humanity by creating the gears and becoming one himself; and Betrayed gears by fighting a war against the race he now is.
Sol is not guilty because he killed justice, that's a very shallow and simplistic way of putting it. Sol lives in a post apocalyptic version of his world which he is partly responsible for creating. The countless deaths caused by the gears including Justice were all a result of the research he participated in. Thats why he hunted gears, because its his punishment, he wants to erase his sins and his guilt by destroying everything to do with that project. However, to do so he would also have to destroy himself. Throughout most of the series he only sees himself as a monster.
11:46 Idk if this was just explained wrong for brevity but uh, no, they didn't just trade eyes so Ky could dragon install. Sin as a little kid/gear was struggling to control his gear powers so they traded an eye in order to weaken his power a bit and yknow, not leave one of them without an eye. 4:58 shit I never noticed that she flies away!
Welp, people were going insane due to Jam being in a picture in the ending of Strive's story but in the end, the real character that got added to Strive was Testament, top hat and all
5:20 "It's so bad that neither of us could pull it off successfully" no that's what we call not having execution.
Secondly, It's not an instant kill. It only does half health at most.. not to mention whenever you see it, it's always on a low health training dummy because the last hit where he becomes a dragon is only enabled on kill percentage.
16:15 Pretty sure those are just supposed to be references to other fighting games like Street Fighter (Chun-Li) or Soul Calibur (Maxi)
Bulsara is Freddie Mercury's original surname.
got the alien painting achiev days ago and i was wondering where it came from. google gave me nothing but now i know. what are the chances
Zappa is literally just a reference to Zappa
>Bridget's gender
Oh boy if this video was made like. A week ago
XRD IS GETTING ROLLBACK NOW
I'm not gonna lie, I've always thought of Billy Kane whenever I saw Axl, even before I started playing GG
5:27 ...oh holy shit she's probably also over 100+ years old like Baiken or smth, never even considered this till now :O
if you listen to the audio in signs dub she's anywhere from 22-26 actually
@@AveryCubed Really?! Which section? Arcade or Story mode?
@@RetroRageasaurus during the story mode of sign there's a section where chipp and May are on their way to meet up with Johnny and during this time chip keeps calling her a kid much to may's annoyance. Chipp asks how old May is anyway and may will mumble her age into chipps ear. If you listen closely to the mumbling it starts as 20 followed by a single syllable letter, hence 22-26 because the three most commonly heard numbers are 22 24 and 26
17:17 so... what's your opinion on rollback so far?
Night and day difference, really. Hard to describe how much it helps the game's responsiveness but if you've played enough games with and without delay/rollback netcode you'll know exactly what I mean.
In the guilty gear for gba you can play as a different version of Ky that looks like his damaged but he's very broken, I feel like that foreshadows guilty gear xrd
So little thing but isuka was made during the time ASW didn’t have guilty gear. And yes blazblue was made in place of guilty gear. But when they got it back they became their competition. Hence team red and team blue. Red for guilty gear and blue for blazblue. Also Daisuke and his co producer switch roles between the games. It’s something you’d only notice if you read the credits or game details in the details of central fiction.
Great video !
17:03
video outdated >:)
10:14 great song pick, easily one of the best songs in BB
"Kill your friends, Guilt free"
Could that be the coveted Freedom of the Calm?
great video dude
For clarification, Bridget now identifies as a trans female (as seen in Strive)
"See ya, cowgir- I mean, cowboy..." "No, cowgirl is fine!"- Interaction between Goldlewis (GGST exclusive character) and Bridget
Also, Axl Low is named after the lead singer of Guns & Roses (Axl Rose)
This video was made before that
So Ky was like "Hey son, wanna swap eyes with daddy?"
80% of the stuff that he says was in ggxxac was in ggxx (or as I know it being old ggx2 ) ggxxac was pretty much a complete edition of ggxx. Only things added in ggxxac was justice and kliff. Everything else is the same.
may is in her early 20's for anyone asking btw so her crush with Johnny (who's in his early 30's) might not be that imposible
She only mumbles "20" in the English dub of Xrd story mode with far more incoherent whispering in the Japanese dub afaik so the validity of that information is debatable. Should have pointed that out more clearly in the video.
1:20 false, while he was the first gear he doesn't feel guilty over that, and if he does it's not why he's called that, he was the gear who betrayed the gears, as he was the first justice couldn't control him like the others, being a traitor to his kind, he is the guilty gear
I'm surprised "Faust is haunted" wasn't on the iceberg
im surprised that the first reference you said was sol (which i didnt know) instead of axl being very similar to axel rose
As a fighting games vet i'm having a good honest laugh at every player who turns off their brains and decides to use their Super move out of thin air
Ky took Sin's eye because he was already part gear, due to having intimate relationship with Dizzy. He got gear cells from her, so to gain an ability to control his gear powers, he took Sin's eye. If he didnt, he would be always going around in his dragon install, the "gear form" which is forbidden due to him being the first king if Illyria and the first hero of the Crusades
I would love to see more icebergs!
