Robo Ky and Venom end up starting a bakery together to earn money to get Robo Ky a new body. - Asuka, at the end of it all, goes to the fucking MOON and starts up a Radio Show.
Adding more to that Asuka goes to the moon bit- The reason he went to the moon was to keep safe the Book of Magic- the book ONLY ASUKA AND HAPPY CHAOS can understand and nobody else, the book that Asuka pretty much bound to his goddamn body and was the whole ass reason why Happy was trying to find him to giver to I-No because she needed it, not him.

Wasn't it also a thing that I-No was, like, originally literally going to become God and then the Original yoinked some of her god-juice cause he didn't want her messing with things?
At one point, I-No realizes she cannot beat Sol Badguy (or at the very least that doing so would be very difficult). Now that Gief's 3rd outfit in SF6 is out and looks like work attire, I can picture these two having this conversation. Sol laying down, and Gief sitting in his desk across the room, taking notes.
I watched a like 12 part series on it but my brain auto-deleted it because it can't store that much concentrated insanity. Daisuke has to drink cocaine or something. Edit: It was actually Woolieversus, forgot his name.
Hopefully a new franchise pops up with Sin as the main guy and has an install. I want most of this roster to rest tbh. Like how many world ending disasters can and should happen in a person's lifetime?
My friend Rimmy did an absolutely amazing job cutting down 2 1/2+ hours of me talking into a concise, funny, and still comprehensible video. I’m also sure I just got some things wrong, during my note taking I had a tendency to hyper focus on specific characters and misread or misunderstand interactions with other characters. I did however do my best to fix all of those but I’m sure I missed one or two for the hardcore lore fan. Anyway simply due to the length of the recording some things got the axe. So here’s some fun facts other have pointed out. Asuka goes to the moon but he also starts a podcast up there. Guilty gear is technically in its second timeline due to the events called the “battle of Rome” where a bunch of characters die and time travel is used to save the world. (In the first timeline humans lose.) The lyrical music for every character tells that characters story for that game. This is the cause for the joke “Daisuke made a cool album and someone added a game to it.” Vampires and yokai are real and they are considered some of the strongest beings outside the literal gods that exist in GG.
Also thanks for doing this, I now want to play the games... dammit. Oh yeah and I must say the two lovebirds on the moon are by far my favourite characters.
43:44 There are two things I like about Sin's explanation of how he was born. One, is that it sounds like a god creation myth. "Two gods got into shenanigans with exchanging their eyes and one of the eyes fell on the ground. From the spot where the eye fell, a new god, their son, sprung fully formed." Reminds me of Athena springing from Zeus's forehead. Two, is that Remlethal straight up believes him. Which make sense seeing as, based on what I got from this video, she's a young gear too.
Her age is unknown, from a few months to a few years meaning she might be 6 which is older than sin. And she isn't a gear, she is a valentine in both last name and species. Valentine's are just human+
@@jacobtheurer3425 ...Yesn't? Valentines are essentially the "new humans" the Universal Will made, but they are also just gears, in more ways than one. They are both Gears+ and Humans+
Ramlethal is a Valentine unit, which are living weapons created by the Universal Will and only related to Gears in the sense that both types of being have ties to the Backyard. Gears draw power from the Backyard; while Valentine units are somehow created from there, and so far are always based on Aria's DNA. Ramlethal was also made without emotions or a general understanding of humanity, and she's still learning about it. Apparently Strive takes place like two weeks after Xrd Revelator 2, which is an expansion of a remake of the game Ramlethal is from. All of this carries a few implications: Ram goes from declaring war on the world to being the head of the Illyrian army in like a month. Their nature as valentine units implies Ram and Jack-O are sisters, which further implies Ram is Dizzy's aunt and Sin Kiske's great aunt. The Badguy-Kiske family tree does not fit into three dimensions.
@@liljon042no, the Valentines have nothing to do with gears. They might be more bonkers and magically capable compared to your average human but in the end they are still not gears
I think one thing that is worth mentioning is that Happy Chaos, the international terrorist, is actually a sorta reincarnation of The Original and The Original is Irish. Take that as you will.
He's not a sorta reincarnation, he just is the Original. At some point during the crusades the Original encounters I-no in the backyard and takes half of her power to stop her from reaching godhood. The Universal Will taking note of this used that power and fused it with the Original twisting him into the omnipotent devil we know today. - Also fun fact he only started using the name 'Happy Chaos' after eavesdropping a conversation between Jack-o and Raven were she talks about a twin model Asuka made alongside Jack-o called Happy Chaos, he liked it enough to steal the name. (This also might be a reason why he also has a Halo similar to hers, though this is probably a nod from the design team because that seperate Jack-o unit 'Happy Chaos' is not the Original and he was trapped inside Ariels a.k.a the Universal Will for the rest of Xrd up until the start of Strive)
Yeah it was my favorite part about it. Really made the whole thing feel like a communal experience, and I wish more lore vids were done like this for other series.
Erm, actually, Sin isn't Sol's grandson because he's the progenitor of all Gears, he's Sol's grandson because Dizzy is the literal biological child of Frederick and Aria. Aria was already pregnant with Dizzy when she was turned into Justice.
Not entirely, as far as I know. The way Justice "gave birth" to Dizzy has never been confirmed, and neither has the fact that she's biologically Sol's child. I think the scene where Ky realises Sol is his dad in law is based on the logic that Justice is Dizzy's mother -> Justice is Aria -> Aria and Sol had a thing -> Sol is basically Dizzy's dad
Sol was made into the prototype gear in 2016. From that point until 2073 where Aria was fully converted to Justice, the two of them never met again. Not until the deathmatch where Sol kills Justice and realizes who she was. So no, Dizzy was never birthed from Justice. It's implied someone from the PWAB got dna samples of Sol and Justice and made Dizzy in a test tube. Edit: Justice was sealed in 2175, Dizzy was "born" in 2177. 3 years before Justice was freed and subsequently killed by Sol.
@@Quote_Cannon Technically, all we know is that the fight betwen Justice and Sol at near full power was so great it created life, which is like, a gear thing. Not sure if it was Justice that created it from the fight, or if it came into being BECAUSE of the fight in general, but all we know is that Dizzy was made around the same time as Sol and Justice's fight
@@Quote_Cannoneven if it’s not confirmed it’s still funny as hell and practically every character has accepted that Sol is the granddaddy of the Kiske family (including both Ram and El too)
I thought this was about Metal Gear for the first 10mins and was so confused when Dragons were brought up but also tried rationalizing that there must be dragons in the Metal Gear universe that I just missed.
The most impressive part is how he managed to get all the complicated hard to explain lore right but got Strive almost entirely wrong despite it being the most straightforward and easy to explain entry in the series.
Now we just need this Madman to try and explain the entire Blazblue lore in under an hour without any migraine medication at all for double or nothing.
"... and that was the end of the 694th loop, Take-Mikazuchi destroys the city of Kagutsuchi once again and the loop restarts, only 31 loops to go guys!"
Depends on how you read Asuka's offhand reference to the 'Fractal specimen' as well. Whether it was simply meant as a nod to ABA arriving in Strive or some sort of further musing on her now being the first synthetic character we know of (prior to the Valentines) will probably depend on if we get another story chapter like Baiken's addon or not during the next Season.
Thanks for the video! There was one important thing you missed regarding Dizzy though; she is the REAL daughter of Sol and Aria, since Aria was pregnant before being turned into justice, and the fetus was transformed into an egg she laid in a forest. So she is their "first child", technically speaking.
I’m kind of sad you didn’t explain WHY Dr. baldhead killed people in the first place which is a tragic story to begin with that really makes you feel bad for Faust altogether and why you’re constantly rooting for him to succeed.
Yea this and the fact that millia and zato’s relationship prior to the games was fucked up as hell. there’s a reason why millia threw zato under the bus he was her abusive ex
Didn't Baldhead go crazy after the shadow government killed one of his patients because he had accidentally come across the secret of resurrection and didn't realize it and they wanted that shit under wraps, Which caused him to assume that he killed a child and just kinda broke him.
It's a testing ground for experimental psychedelics and other mind altering drugs. All modern hard drugs are the safer versions of the intensity that had occurred during the trials.
The kind of personality that makes a person gravitate to deep grand fantasies with twisted timetables (Nerds) makes that person enjoy deep lores and facts with entertaining consequences. I imagine that you clicked on the video with the assuredness "I like this youtuber, and the content/lore that they make usually coincides with my taste." You kind've had a soft guarantee that this learning would be an interesting use of you time, so you stuck through it. ...I'm also probably never gonna play the games :P
Friendly reminder his grandpa is canonically one of the smartest people in the series, aka the guy who made a god killing weapon because he’s bored, disassembled it because its too strong then make another one (that actually did kill god) just because he’s bored.
This is one of those videos that I didn't realize was over an hour long until I suddenly became aware of the uncomfortable pressure in my bladder because I was watching with rapt fascination and utter investment. So major props to War for making me care so deeply about the lore of a game franchise I didn't even know existed until like half an hour ago XD
Pity that you skimmed over bedman since he's, in my mediocre opinion, by far the most tragic character in strive despite how loony tunes a character concept he is. He and his sister were psychics so powerful that they have to be permanently comatose to not fry their brains - bedman uses his mechanised bed as a ways of interacting with the world while asleep. Delilah was even more powerful than bedman and so couldn't be conscious enough to interact with the dream world like bedman. tl;dr bedman kills people and is on the side of the big bad (the universal will/ariels) because he hopes that ariels will assist him in merging his dreamworld with reality, where he will be powerful enough to wake up his sister and resurrect every person he has killed to achieve that (as he takes care to remember the names of _every single person_ he has killed to get closer to waking his sister). So imagine the impact it has on him in his dying moments when Ariels revealed that she was puppeteering him the whole time to achieve her own goals and made him a mass murderer for nothing. As a final sacrifice for his sins, he single handedly creates the absolute world *by himself* to seal off Delilah's power and let her awaken before he crumbles into dust. Except his devotion for his sister who was never able to live turned him into a mechanical revenant after death. The shattered remnants of his bedframe now act as Delilah's rabid yet caring protector, willing to destroy itself for the sake of making her worry less about the destruction it causes. How much of the bedframe's behaviour is from its programming bedman left as his last will and how much is from bedman's soul puppeteering its remains in a last act of penance is unknown, but it is clear that despite being fully mechanical it acts oddly compassionate towards Delilah.
Just one little correction: the one who saves the people from the apartment building was Axl, not Nago. Axl stops time and basically does a Quicksilver with the people from the building
The _Second_ I heard "there's people doing great work to make this story more accessible" I knew it's was going to be WoolieVS (and his one, oversized white leg). He is the best (and also a pie tief).
I spent like 4 minutes straight laughing at "put the sentience inside the ancient weapon so she can marry it" next to the image of the guy with hologram/plushie Hatsune Miku
Learning about Guilty Gear has convinced me that the Japanese Gaming Industry is collectively sitting on a giant stash of the best LSD on the planet because I cannot believe someone actually came up with any of this without taking hardcore psychedelic drugs and I *want* that shit.
I love how, in under 7 minutes, we went from German crusaders in the 12th century, to the UN is equivalent to a country, to an Irish wizard, to a sentience demands humanity dies, and an Indian man makes a new class of vessel, and claims sovereignty over it.
Mistakes - Delilah isn't stuck in a bed, she and Bedman are both in comas because they're so smart their minds will destroy their own bodies if they ever wake up (this intelligence is also why Bedman has psychic powers). Bedman has a bed so he can go around and enact his schemes, but Delilah is just in containment somewhere until Bedman uses his dying moments to wake her up. - Happy Chaos is the Original, not the Universal Will. He went insane from being trapped inside the Universal Will, and also stole the name Happy Chaos as it was meant for *yet another Valentine* that would contain I-No's power the same way Jack-O' contained Justice's. The Universal Will created the original Valentine, Ramlethal, and Elphelt, while Asuka created Jack-O' and the one who would have been Happy Chaos. He never got the chance to finish that last one, so the now-insane Original yoinked the name for himself. - I-No doesn't replace herself with a more evil version of herself from the past. Axl is from another timeline, and I-No is his girlfriend Megumi from the main timeline, as it just so happens that the couple are both living spacetime anomalies. Axl can't go back to his timeline without erasing the main one, and I-No just didn't bother searching for her Axl when he disappeared, instead jumping through spacetime to figure out why she had her powers until she went mad, became evil, and forgot his face. I-No only recognizes Axl as she's dying and uses her remaining power to bring the Megumi of Axl's timeline into the main timeline so that at least *a* version of her will get *a happy ending with her boyfriend.*
As the Guilty Gear lore nerd who just HAS to be "that guy" (not to be confused with That Man), here are some corrections: You got the beginning of the timeline jumbled a bit; The Original discovered the Backyard created the Universal Will BEFORE 1999, and then it studied humans (who didn't have magic yet) and decided they need to be replaced. The Universal Will WAS the celestial being that tried to awaken in Y2K and caused the events of the entire series. The Prototype Gear IS a full-fledged Gear, and a powerful one at that. He's also not LITERALLY the father of all gears (they aren't made from his DNA or something) - he's just the first "model". Sol IS however the father of Dizzy, BIOLOGICALLY, through Aria/Justice. Gears aren't usually created through infection - they are mostly genetically modified living beings, who differ in shape and size depending on the class; the exception to this is The Japanese, who due to their enhanced Ki abilities or whatever (which have been present before Japan was destroyed) can be turned into Antimatter Gears through a sort of disease (which is what the Universal Will did in the Black Sunrise). While Gears that were originally humans/are part human keep a more humanoid appearance and usually a high level of sapience, not all of them are Command Class - that's reserved for Justice and later Dizzy. ALL Magic draws from the Backyard, it's not exclusive to Gear Cells; Gear Cells just happen to be cells modified by Magic. Venom wasn't "the pupil of Eddie" - he was Zato's pupil long before he got possessed by Eddie. The original doesn't die, he is forced to absorb half of I-no (which turns him into the blue guy known as Happy Chaos) by the Universal Will who THEN absorbs him alive, which makes her go a bit insane. Jack-O' does not have Justice's memories, but her memories from Aria are a bit jumbled because she was released ahead of completion. She has one half of Aria's soul while Justice has the other, so fusing the two brings back Aria (allegedly, but Aria's soul doesn't want to come back yet so the body stays as Jack-O' with her hair colors swapped). Happy Chaos blew up the apartment complex Nagoryuki was under, not I-no; and Nago just tried to kill Happy Chaos but instead was forced to fight I-no - the one who saved everyone from the explosion was resident British timelord Axl Low. Time travel isn't a "witch thing" (It's exclusive to I-no because she has the same code as Axl or something) and I-no isn't "the last witch" (she's actually something called a "Magical Foci" of which there are a lot, but most are either objects or Yokai). I-no was created when the hopes of all of humanity during the Crusades merged into the Backyard, and the result was a being so powerful The Original had to split her in half by taking away her desire (which eventually lead to him becoming Happy Chaos as noted earlier). Axl isn't from the Victorian Era, his vanished in 1998. I-no whoops the asses of almost everyone BUT Frederick, who kills her using a bunch of nuclear batteries supplied by President Vernon to create an infinite energy output beam aimed at her weak point which was revealed by Nagoryuki. Asuka took the Flames of Corruption from Sol (which still leaves him part Gear BTW) not during the fight, but after they thought they have already won. Vernon was already president. The version of herself I-no brought back while she disappeared into a time paradox wasn't some "eviler I-no sent to haunt Axl" - it was Megumi, Axl's girlfriend from his original time (I-no and Axl both dated alternate versions of each other in their original timelines, it's weird). In Xrd I-no tells Axl that if he goes back to Megumi he would destroy the current timeline, and if he brings Megumi to this timeline he would destroy himself; so in her last moments, I-no brought Megumi back herself (semi-destroying I-no) so that the two can finally be together again with no consequences.
Correction to your correction "Time travel isn't a "witch thing" (It's exclusive to I-no because she has the same code as Axl or something" It actually is an I-no thing and has nothing to do with her connection to Axl. AXL has these powers because of his connection to I-no. Additionally Megumi is an alternate timeline version of I-no but this is also seemingly just a coincidence and has nothing to do with them being connected.
As someone who knows the lore already. I feel heard. Finally a slightly bigger group of people I can annoy when referencing obscure things in the GG lore

58:00 ima correct some stuff about chaos and I-no, I-no was created in the backyard as a result of humanities emotions during the crusades, giving her God like power, with control over everything aspect of existence, but she was dormant. The Original found her in the backyard went "oh fuck this is bad" and took half of her, leaving her with no desire for the future and aspects of her personality were also lost, as well as half of her power, I-no dreams of a better life during this time When the original was absorbed he wasn't killed, he was trapped, and then left to fester in his own madness, and the original does not fuck around because he invented magic, hence the name, and to beat him the universal will forced that other half of I-no into him. This turned the original into Happy Chaos, who is the strongest GG character as well. His presence subconsciously forces ariels into doing the majority of her acts, including killing bedman, which is why Delilah is gunning for chaos in strive. When I-no grabs him he knows that the world would likely be destroyed in a paradox should I-no succeed, but there's drama here so he goes along with it. He can use mind control and this is how to enslaves Nagoriyuki. Also He blew up the tower with nago in it, and he can move when axl freezes time. The Original taught Asuka and the conclave magic as well. I-no's a time traveler, and she's bounced for a very, very long time to find a happy future, but it always ends in a grey, dry world, but if she were to become complete, she could fix it, so she needs to absorb chaos, hence absorbing her missing half, and they need the tome of origin, a powerful artifact wrote by chaos/original.

What a fucking lad Warpugss is, dropped an entire lore google doc out of the blue ON SOMEONE ELSE'S CHANNEL.
(In the first timeline humans lose.)
The lyrical music for every character tells that characters story for that game. This is the cause for the joke “Daisuke made a cool album and someone added a game to it.”
Vampires and yokai are real and they are considered some of the strongest beings outside the literal gods that exist in GG.
The guilty gear timeline do get a little quirky
Release the Snyder Cut, I want to hear the full 2 hour mindfuck.
Also thanks for doing this, I now want to play the games... dammit.
Oh yeah and I must say the two lovebirds on the moon are by far my favourite characters.
Slayer 2023 wen?
Wait so:
1: Name of the podcast?
2: Where is the full recording/presentation?
3:So you are telling me Touhou can easily be Canon in Guilty gear?
"I was born in a Dublin street..."
my man got not only 4 leaf clover but the 4cal GUN
Come out you black and tans
*Some of you Humans are alright. Don't start yer anything tomorrow*
Something about having people in a call reacting and asking questions as if it was a lecture makes this hit different compared to other lore videos
Yeah it was my favorite part about it. Really made the whole thing feel like a communal experience, and I wish more lore vids were done like this for other series.
So adeptus ridiculous but for guilty gear?
"That's not really mischief. That's murder."

Loki in a nutshell
@@Quote_CannonIts Ky's worst nightmre lmao and then he goes an leave a crater when sol arrives at his house

There was one important thing you missed regarding Dizzy though; she is the REAL daughter of Sol and Aria, since Aria was pregnant before being turned into justice, and the fetus was transformed into an egg she laid in a forest.

Which means Ky is literally Sol's son in law.

Friendly reminder his grandpa is canonically one of the smartest people in the series, aka the guy who made a god killing weapon because he’s bored, disassembled it because its too strong then make another one (that actually did kill god) just because he’s bored.

I hope you know I read this whole thing, word for word, period for period, comma for comma, have a good day or night bro

Only thing im gonna correct about the huge list of mistakes is that Happy Chaos is the Original, while Ariels is the Universal Will.

Mistakes
- Delilah isn't stuck in a bed, she and Bedman are both in comas because they're so smart their minds will destroy their own bodies if they ever wake up (this intelligence is also why Bedman has psychic powers).

We need more hour long videos of the gang just having the lore of a complicated series explained to them
Potemkin is objectively one of the simultaneously coolest and funniest characters in the series and that is not up for debate.
As the Guilty Gear lore nerd who just HAS to be "that guy" (not to be confused with That Man), here are some corrections:
You got the beginning of the timeline jumbled a bit; The Original discovered the Backyard created the Universal Will BEFORE 1999, and then it studied humans (who didn't have magic yet) and decided they need to be replaced.
Correction to your correction
"Time travel isn't a "witch thing" (It's exclusive to I-no because she has the same code as Axl or something"
It actually is an I-no thing and has nothing to do with her connection to Axl. AXL has these powers because of his connection to I-no.
Additionally Megumi is an alternate timeline version of I-no but this is also seemingly just a coincidence and has nothing to do with them being connected.

58:00 ima correct some stuff about chaos and I-no,
I-no was created in the backyard as a result of humanities emotions during the crusades, giving her God like power, with control over everything aspect of existence, but she was dormant. The Original found her in the backyard went "oh fuck this is bad" and took half of her, leaving her with no desire for the future and aspects of her personality were also lost, as well as half of her power, I-no dreams of a better life during this time
When the original was absorbed he wasn't killed, he was trapped, and then left to fester in his own madness, and the original does not fuck around because he invented magic, hence the name, and to beat him the universal will forced that other half of I-no into him.

At ten min in, I need to interject the request for everyone to read "The Big Front Yard" by Clifford Simak. Its an award winning story (and one of my personal favorites) about a handyman who meets some unexpected guests and has his house turned into an interdimensional portal.
The Kingdom of Illyria comes from Illyria which is a region of Western Balkans. Illyrians are also a collection of tribes which lived on the Western Balkans before we, the Slavs, arrived. Illyrians kinda just went poof after that.
Ngl thought, I have no idea how or why they named the kingdom like that as the region is really small compared to the rest of the kingdom and the Illyrians just aren't with us anymore lol.
(Watch as the Illyrians have some major story involvement for whatever reason.)
Source: I'm from the Balkans, I simply know.
Aba fans eating

LESSS GOOOOI
I’ve watched this so many times, please Rimmy, release the 12-hour unedited Guilty Gear lore cut
The last person I expected to get into Guilty Gear was Rimmy, honestly. I remember him mostly from Arma and Hoi4.
3:48 I've got to say, YEye-of-Chaos2K sounds like a hell of a time.
“On the bright side don’t have to worry about rising sea levels”
Fucking Christ 😂
.. I feel like there's still so much lore missed out on that I cannot help but want to ask for a part 2..
Anybody that actually tries to explain guilty gear lore I wholeheartedly respect. Because of how convoluted and crazy and severely complicated it is so much that it gives Kingdom hearts are run for their money. But also I can't help but feel like there were a lot of things that were skipped on which maybe they weren't explained because of editing in the video. Either way 8/10 and you made me do a bloody spit take on you saying GEAR STDs.
now im imagining japan bein gone and brazil sundelly having a high concentration of super sayajins livin on the neiborhood of Liberdade in the city of São Paulo
54:30 you are absolutely mistaken, some mad lad did put a fleshlight as a stock on an AR15 then asked the ATF through a lawyer about its legality.
