Between this video and your last reloading video I’ve thrown both my extended mag release and extended slide lock lever in the trash. 1 way, 1 thought process, minimal down time. Makes the most sense, thanks James!
I really appreciate the techniques for lefties. Teaching lefties as always been a struggling point for me and I've also got a left handed daughter. Thanks for helping me obtain the tools I need to teach her good habits in martial gun handling.
Makes total sense. Having a consistent system works best. I have made the mistakes outlined in this and the preceding video. These techniques save lives. Thank you for posting.
As a left handed shooter I can confidently say that James techniques when it comes to handling pistols is the best. I've been using this exact reload for I would say the last 12 years and it never failed me.
Thanks for the Lefty demonstration (didn't have any Lefty in my Fighting Pistol class) and didn't want to use the slingshot with my flippers. I'm sure they covered it but I didn't grasp on to it until now. Thank you so much for your time and effort in teaching. Have a big ole fun Sunshiny Day
Simple but useful information. Good to know that your supposed to adjust your grip to hit the mag release. I totally thought the opposite. Thought maybe I bought the wrong pistol for that reason. Thank you.
Did some left hand (non-dominant for me, a non-ambi righty) reloads at the range yesterday. I used my pointer finge to eject the mag no problem, but wish I'd known about that middle finger technique. I'll practice it tonight and see which I like. Glad I didn't have problems with the mag release on the other side being hit by my thumb, I'll keep it in mind in case I have trouble later. I was only loading one shot and doing off hand draws while reloading with the pistol between my knees for reloads, so I didn't have the issue with covering the ejection port, I used my left hand to hit the release. I'll work on the technique you showed and see where my hand naturally wants to go and practice that different grip to rack the slide. Thanks as always.
💯 percent right I found out this stuff on my own because I spent a lot of time shooting just for fun at first and I got better and better the more I shot. It's really the key to figuring out stuff and getting used to your firearm. and another thing if you are not comfortable with a certain gun or it's not what you really want then it's not going to work well for you. A person should be confident and comfortable with their firearm.
I'm a lefty and for the most part I do things that way I don't believe in lefty guns I shot riffles right hand but on the reload I do a slight cant but after watching this I like the little role you gave it . thanks for the video
Solid info. I cover the ejection port all the time. My " firearms instructors" (range babysitters) have the helpful advice of : uhh, well,ya know... figure it out ... Then mumble something about front sight focus and tools in a tool box and walk away
I appreciate you James. You give away more free knowledge on RUclips than some instructor ever teach. You’re a valued member of the 2A Community. Thank you
I like your way better than the one I was taught, but the range won't allow it (muzzle up is not allowed). I may have to use the lefties version with the right hand, which as far as ejection port orientation, is a problem, I may have to turn the gun upside down.
Yes left-handers get your fingers out of the way of the ejection port put your monkey grip on the slide keep your fingers behind the injection port I've done that several times you got a train passed the time it takes to get it right you have to train so you can't get it wrong
I don't ever buy a lefthanded gun I know this is a righthanded world. If it hits the fan and am out in the world anything I may find will probably be righthanded.

Good looking out

Nice. Tap-rack cleared that stovepipe nicely. It’s almost like you’ve thought about these things a few times. Crazy.
Actually, it got cleared just with the tap alone. The rack was just extra. Lol But yeah, when in doubt.... tap & rack.
Great demonstration as always

I've seen this too.
I am a teacher, not an Instructor.

Dry practice AT HOME.
Thanks for the left handed pistol advice. Do you have any advice/videos for using an Ar or Ak left handed
Yes, we teach it in class.
Perfect sense

Hey James is that a Glock brand red gun? I like how you can still chamber the dummy rounds
Tactical Response alumni here. This video makes me want to come up for Advanced Fighting Pistol. I loved the class.
Waiting on YOU!
Cool
Im not left handed but my wife and father are and that left hand reload is fuckin gold.

Wheres all the goofy press checks?
New here? ruclips.net/video/xQ-65RxyfIU/видео.html
Weird things happen when you actually get out and train. Those who don't get out to train just don't know.

We southpaws have the ultimate advantage in off hand manipulations 💪💪 except on ak's lefty life sucks on le kalash....
