Small individual pound cakes for the Sunday morning crew sounds nice. I also make a vanilla - chocolate mix by alternating 2oz scoops of the batter in the pan. It makes a random pattern. Hi Mike! Pound Cake features little baking powder, so it's very important to incorporate air when you mix butter and sugar for a perfect texture...I suggest to use a hand mixer or a stand mixer, It's very hard to get good result wih a whisk.

Hi. I tried this recipe yesterday. I must say that this is not a go to recipe for me. Although the cake is not bad itself. But its not moist enough. Probably because of corn starch. The sugar quantity in this recipe is super perfect. But probably a little less for those who eat much sweet. For me it was perfect. But i dont know the texture of this cake cane out a little dry for me and not moist enough.

I made this today and did every single step exactly how u did it BUT I didn’t have the vanilla bean paste I use vanilla extract. Anywho, when done in the oven, my pound cake was much more lighter….. even after the full 45 min mine didn’t turn out golden like yours 😔
Hi! The color of the cake depends on the oven. I've used electric oven upper and lower heat, maybe your oven doesn't have the upper heat and that's why it turned out pale? In this case, you can try to increase the heat at 175-180°C.
