Great job you two! So many van people have locked in on sprinters and promasters and have lost sight of the benefits of older vans. Beautiful wood and color combo's!
I love the older style vans vs the sprinters and pro masters. Hanna and Cody did a great job with the design - you wouldn't have guessed it was impromptu. It's great that they kept it open and spacious. Hanna's design sense is spot on. Bonus, Hanna talking about their relationship during the build ❤️!
Thank you for sharing. I have a 1990 Roadtrak and was trying to figure out what to do to make it more livable for myself. What you did with the kitchen and toilet area is exactly what I am going to do. So thank you once again.
We've got a 99D190V. Love Roadtrek's. I think you did a great job, love the woodwork. I was initially thinking you made a mistake getting rid of the toilet. Then I saw how you did it, that was a great idea. The way you redid the interior makes it not look/seem so claustrophobic. Who cares what other people think of your mods, you make it comfortable for you.
I wouldn't give up my hanging wardrobe...or an enclosed 🚻 bathroom with a sink. I prefer an actual fridge [front opening]with a little freezer compartment. However, as you have an ice chest, I would put a bench over it 4 more seating. One thing I just love about that van is the sloping skylights! The plant shelf is so charming. Nice 2C you still have a Toilet 🚻 😀.
This is the nicest van I have seen, I love ♥️ the openness of it! And my fav thing is the placement of the bathroom; I like the way it's configured, only I would suggest a drape for privacy, so while one is doing their business, one could be on the other side sitting in a chair! The colors are Beautiful, neutral, soft, inviting, So Appealing! Love LOVE the simple clean open look! You all did EXCELLENTLY, Luxury in a tiny space. Love the plants, wood look, cute fridge chest, bed, 'SO CUTE, SO NEAT'!
Love the potty idea too! I have NEVER used the shower, so this transformation makes perfect sense to me. I sometimes take my grandchildren (ages 6 - 10) , one at a time, on RoadTrek adventures, and they have all been taught the Fine Art of a sponge bath. I would though still keep my sweet "shower curtain" for potty privacy. Also looks like the standard Air Conditioner unit in the back is gone: I have never use it so would be nice to have that extra storage space. AND getting rid of the fridge in favor of the ultimate cool - I love that too. Thanks for the awesome video share.
Fantastic project! What a wonderful way to spend your Covid time!!! Love the bedroom area! You have made it so bright and pretty. Brilliant transformation of the bathroom and added counter space. Great job!!!! Thanks so much for sharing with us. Enjoy your travels! (❤️from SC, Jane)
Our neighbors down the street are currently doing a van conversion similar to what you've done. They had a larger trailer but decided to downsize. I have a 1981 Chevy Class C that I've reconditioned. Being new at RV camping, I've noticed there is a lot to learn. I've watched a lot from RVStreet on RUclips. Unfortunately, he passed away recently from cancer. If the van is rockin', i wont come knockin'
You guys did an amazing job! Love it! I down sized from a 32 ft Motor home, and am building out a 97 Ford E350 , I have redone the design several times and now have it pretty much where I like it! Now I'm gonna redo it for finish, Love what you did! Thanks,
If you trim the overhanging trim on the battery box you'll be able to fit 2 group 31 batteries in there. That's what I did to mine. Nearly Tripled the capacity from the original group 24.
Its very pretty, but you took out your shower! I just bought a 1995 190 versatile. Original owner and immaculate condition, but I can't wait to renovate it. Thank you so much for the great tour😊
Beautiful job. Interior was very well done, and well thought out. I kind of like the outside too. In great shape, but just looks like an old 1980's van. And no one would know what is on the inside. Kind of a "grey man" look. By the way, the fake plants add a nice touch. Make it a little more warm and homey.
I really like the open concept with the toilet in the cabinet instead of a closet. It would have been good to make the cabinet door open to block views from the front-end you could open the other to block views from the back. We do use the shower in our 190 Popular but not as much as the toilet. We often leave the bed made up for the whole trip as well. I didn't see an awning, but you can use suction cups with hooks, or your metal bar and a suction cup with a hook to put up a light tarp or rain fly for shade and a little cover. We like having chairs and a small table to spend the time out of the van. Also a $25 hammock makes a great addition. Have fun and be safe.
@@onebluemoon.268 Mine has really good bones and the motor is really strong! Unfortunately I got duped on my van build, 5 k later and I still have a couple of things to take care of. But she's really pretty awesome and perfect for me and my senior chihuahuas lol 😆
Nice job, guys! Just a thought: when the budget allows, you might want to consider swapping out the cooler for a 12 volt compressor refrigerator. There are some that are the same size as your existing cooler and also open like your cooler. Some even have 2 compartments with the flexibility of running as a refrigerator and/or freezer.
Have you ever thought about adding solar to your van, just a thought? Are full timers? It is an awesome build on a budget, kudos to you both? Thanks for sharing your van with us. 😎😎😎👍👍👍! Thanks again Eric Sulen Grand Rapids Michigan, USA.
Lol I had a Dodge Ram Camper van that had a bad transmission and shifting it from park to any gear shakes the whole van as if a train smashed the back of van 😂
Hey, I have a 1987 dodge b250 campervan and personally I really like it. My van is quite loaded up however so it is quite slow. The engine is a 5.2L V8 so it absolutely guzzles gas and goes extremely slow. That is the only downside to these vans compared to something like a sprinter.
how much height head space in interior. can a 6ft to 6.5 person be able to stand. and bathrm area and walkway is it wide enough for a big person 57” wide to move about.
@@amandasanders1141 No, it's not. It's not even close. i. Ships and boats aren't but rarely given personal names, suggesting they have personalities. ii. Ships and boats need to be identified. I absolutely love the Dodge van platform with the 360. If you are looking to build on a budget, these vans are AWESOME!
I would put the cleaning supplies next to the toilet and the food across from it. Just my opinion but nice van. BLESSINGS
The cabinet is separate. Big deal.
Agreed. Maybe they did it that way so the food was on the same side as the counter space. I think I'd have done it your way though.
Great job you two! So many van people have locked in on sprinters and promasters and have lost sight of the benefits of older vans. Beautiful wood and color combo's!
I love this smaller van and the old captains chairs look so much more comfortable than the new ones they make now. You made it so cozy.

Nice build, stay healthy and safe !

Nice update to your van!
WTG guys! Yes, you two inspired.
Very nice ! God bless you 👌
Gorgeous
I have a number of Roadtreks. Love all your updates.
Don't show the roadtrek group. They'll all whine about how you didn't keep it "original".
Nah, I kinda like it. Will say though, even the minor changes I made to my RT like removing the microwave and A/C unit were not exactly well received.
Not all, mostly just one😂😂😂
I love it!!
I absolutely love your van everything is gorgeous except your orange carpet . But all of it good job god bless
Seems so spacious
You did well bro fist pump👊🤣🍻
Wow 😳 what a tight fit space
Very nice!
Has the transmission been replaced? Dodge are famous for weak transmissions. If it needs rebuilding make sure they use heavy duty parts.
Lol I had a Dodge Ram Camper van that had a bad transmission and shifting it from park to any gear shakes the whole van as if a train smashed the back of van 😂
Was the 1988 the only year with a mini couch? Dang that minicouch looks great.love your roadtrek.
Very creative 😮
cool build! Just a quick question, what did you pay for the van before the renovations. like when you first bought it.
Beautiful 😍

How many miles on it? What mechanical fixes did it or does it need?
Good job. Enjoy
Is your furnace under bed, as mine is? If so, do you use it and unload stored stuff, or do you use some other heat source?
I’m looking into a 1987 b250. I don’t know much about those older engines but to those enthusiast, are they pretty solid and reliable?

There’s a kit to put on the air conditioner that draws less power to start and run
Do you still have this van? About to buy one very similar and have some questions!!!
Did you drop the floor!?! If so, what you take out?
AGM can still produce hydrogen gas. Specifically when over charged. I believe it still needs to be vented.
That battery box is vented, there is a door on the driverside of that rig.
It's the factory location for the Roadtrek van.
what is AGM?
Do you have thoughts about agm verses lithium batteries?
👍
Can you all find me one and renovate it for me. Beautiful ❤❤❤
