I never knew how really tall people saw the world before tonight. That was quite a ride! It was fun to see a van from that high viewpoint. Makes you really notice the upper cabinets.
This van's interior layout is pretty similar to what I plan for my van rebuilt. I have a 1979 conversion van I gutted and am rebuilding. These are getting quite hard to come by. I have the high top roof, which is taller than your van, so I have about a 1ft space between my head and the ceiling, which is nice. I calculated that even with the 2 skylight vents, I can still squeeze in about 400 watts of solar with the right arrangement of panels and a smarter charge controller and still have room for the V2 starlink dishy. That generator cabinet space, I have a full box for a larger generator, but no gen. I will install batteries there instead. Thanks for the tour!
Sadly the new buyer will probably rip the original interior out and replace it with modern dull grey and white like most of these van conversions I have seen on RUclips.
Definitely a nice survivor and it's in really good shape.. Did it sell yet and how flexible are you on asking your price?, because I'm definitely interested my only issue would be figuring out how to get to you or me finding shipping options to me.. Anyways I hope to hear from you soon and thank you for such a detailed video. 🙏
Its cute but to small for anyone who has more than a few bag's of belongings. But I'm going for one a touch bigger. 72 chinock spending all I've got, so pray for me that its not a money pit. 🙏 Blessings from NYC Aspiring Nomad..
Hello I’m in California north top of California. I would love to own this van. If you still have it let me know. I’m going to talk to my brother about price. I’m 58 been interested in having one for over 10 years I’m ready to go!!! ❤
Very lovely . I had one of these in Australia and had toyota , mercedes 140D , and mitsubishi and ford transit 99 diesel as well at the time . But had a very bad memory with American made vans in particular the diesel one's . Compare with Japanese one's , They are very good on fuel Very easy to drive and park despite their big size Big inside Powerful Good safety record BUT ; The way they say in Australia , You must be a regular customer to mechanics in particular on the diesel one's . The diesel pump never works properly even just in 1 years old one's . And that's just enough to say ; If you buy one , you'll be be the last owner ( they say in Australia ) !!! But when it cones to Japanese vans like Toyota , Mitsubishi , tgey are very reliable cars except Nissan which also you must be the customer to mechanics though . How ever though , you had wonderful job inside the van i loved it !!!
I hate to be the bearer or bad news but for a van from the early 80's 68,000 miles is not low millage. just keep checking the oil every couple tanks of gas.
I have a single lady that wants a van just like that she wants the old style and she is very interested in Oklahoma not sure where you are she's wants to be a traveling nurse
I disagree with the comment about the wallpaper,I assume that's why you named it "COW POKE ".Maybe if they watched till ed they would have caught that part.
What difference does it make whether they watch until the end? They are entitled to their opinion just as you are. If they don’t care for it, or if they like it they should be allowed to say so!
My dream is to one day own a van like this!
Nice and comfy for an older van still looks in good shape
Nice , the van industry should try to replicate it.
So cool! Reminds me of our family vacations in our 70’s merry miler and 80’s Coleman pop up. Thanks for sharing! ❤
