“Being too modern” is actually the perfect dwarf comment… 😂
Ash grumbling about the new sculpts while praising the old ones is so very on brand
the Imperial dwarfs models are what got me back into Warhammer, i hope they release the imperial halfling models too when they do empire :)
Re: Miners cart. The Miners kit comes with one cart per five models, and the kit WILL return. Probably another box od 20, as usual with TOW, which would instantly give you four carts. The question is just when the kit is up on the release schedule.
As an O&G player I am mad jelly of this book. Ours looks a bit spartan in contrast. So much new content here.
I think the O&G remains the best Arcane Journal so far -- we received two brand new and highly thematic ways to play greenskins. The new Dwarf forces are great, but they simply double-down on the army's existing strengths, i.e. shooting and elite infantry blocks. The new rules for Miners are cool, though.
BEARD FORCE ONE!
BEARD FORCE ONE!
BEARD FORCE ONE!
You can tell I have been jonesin for a return of ashes gyrocopters.
Can't wait to see you revered Dwarf army in some batrep!
The last rune section is for handguns and crossbows, not war machines.
They can be quite fun on engineers or thanes, though. With a royal clan thane being able to squeeze in the runes to shot twice ignoring modifiers and inflicting d3 wounds, and wounding behemoths on 3+.
A kind of cannon substitute for that list, alongside the trollhammer torpedo.
The journal sold out before this article dropped. Some things never change. Sigh 😞
Ok I don’t care what anyone says, these journals being paperback instead of hardback is a win to me. I like the feel of those books from them and still have a bunch of 5th ed 40k soft books and 1 high elves soft cover.
And seeing dwarfs keep their old stuff I’m thinking I may do dwarfs.
I am bummed the only army I see keeping its big kits are skeleton warriors and I already play necrons sooo unless vampire counts are in, I don’t need another undead army lol.
And the one thing I can agree with you about minis is I miss the metal sculpts. Was it a pain to build, hell yes. But something felt good moving metal minis on the table.
Shame the imperial dwarves with spears have been priced well above anything that could be attributed to inflation. £31.50 for 5 metal dwarves in the uk, god knows what they are in the US/Aus. I'm someone who'll spend stupid money on OOP minis but this is just a hard NOPE! Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come for the rest of the re-releases.
Skull Pass nuthin…this book lets me use my 3rd Ed sappers. Now if I still have those little walls I made out of fishbowl pebbles.
Picked up the new sculpts but I agree, don’t fit as well as I’d like. I enjoyed all of the 8th sculpt updates so you cannot say I’m opposed to change *grumble grumble
Yes more Dawi!
Yeah I prefer the older Warhammer style too.. Huge hands and stuff.. 5th-6th Ed plastic multi-part like the Night Goblins and Skaven..
Thorgrim Grudgebearer = generic dwarf king 😂
I am seeing things but there long black line in the middle of screen of the video
@@shades846 it’s the tablecloth lol
Your reviews normally aren't biased, but boy oh boy was this review. 😅 I could feel the longbeard energy less than 5 minutes in. *grumble grumble*
The Secundus review seemed a bit biased too, although in that case it was bias against the cheap box (totally fair). It just brought out the disdain with him just hurling stuff aside and less caring about the lore. At least it showed he isn't fussed about getting free product.
Oh Ash, you’re struggling with updates. If I showed my kids the newer models they’d 100% say the new a better.
But I get it, you can’t put a price on nostalgia…
Can other “Forces of Fantasy” armies take dwarf mercenaries?

Sorry GW..the new models and artwork are just plain bad. 6th edition army book was the real deal ❤️
I don't like any of the armies. Royal clan has not a single fast element. And the miner army has no iron drakes and or iron breaker
old world dropped off hard. would love to see that dawi throng.
Huh? Dropped off?
@@Kallistosprom views are down on old warold content
Dropped and down are two very different adjectives. I’m not denying it, but I think we need to be careful with language or GW will just sell 40K and that’s it.
