So it turns out the Warpfire Dragon is more disgusting than you first thought. Flaming attacks in this edition only turn off regeneration if you have the Flammable rule. Which the Warpfire Dragon doesn't. The damn thing has a 4+/5++/5+++ against flaming/magical attacks...

Very cool.*** So no rule in there to mitigate Warrior's Duel regarding Bretonnians? It's a bit sucky that a significant portion of their special rules are going to be counted purely by that.
@@myrar8708 except the Bretonnians "Blessing of the Lady" rule explicitly states "Note that if there is no roll-off to determine which player takes the first turn, the Kingdom of Bretonnia army cannot kneel and pray for the Blessing."
@@cadiastands8 Galrauch is still great. The whole POINT of this game is to allow GW to make money off of people's nostalgia, you don't do that by spending loads of money on new sculpts and moulds.
Interesting the wolves of the sea I am kind of interested in now, and the knights list is fun as it plays like I like to play my core army. Chaos undivided is always my preference. Shame we don't have the Mammoth.
Middle Class Knights is a great image, they still work a 9-5, kid go to a mid tier private school and they go to Marine Land for vacation instead of Disney world hahaa😊
I'm thinking about getting into WoC for Old World. I haven't started the game yet.....but to be honest I think they should just have launched a new edition of fantasy and continued from where we left off with better rules. This fantasy journal is nice but I think very thin so probably only worth around £10, maybe £5 if we're being honest.
I'm glad to see "Man who reads" is back and happy that Undivided is finally getting their due; dedicated armies were always so boring, let's get wild with it!
Bit disappointed in this. I wanted an option to field a proper old school Chaos army, with no Marauders or different types of Beastmen, just Chaos Warriors & Gors (and Hounds & Harpies) as the Core choices (and for Characters) with Chaos Knights & Chaos /Beastmen Chariots & all the monsters making up the Special & Rare options (seen as they aren't letting us have Demons). But now I'm worried that the Marauders & Beastmen teaming up in the Wolves of the Sea army has eaten that piece of the Chaos pie. I'll just have to carry on using Ally rules to try and get that particular fix, I guess. Or a themed army around the (I think 5th edition?) system where you had to take retinues for every character to build an army made up from separate warbands & raiding parties (it was something really unusual, like you had to spend at least as many points on their retinue as you had spent on the character). These are 2 nice idea's, but not quite where I hoped they might focus for the initial couple of themed armies (although the Sea Raiding force is great thematically for this period of Warhammer history - the Knight army doesn't fit quite so well).
@@M-E_123 the 5th Ed version still required you to take any other 'race' as part of your Allies (ie if your Warlord was a beast you could only take Daemons or Warriors as allies). The most recent 'free form' comp was 6th, but even then it would shift, if using the same set-up as above, Daemons and Warriors to being special choices.
Agreed as regards the 'competitive types' and their desire to point out everything thats 'broken', as well as the comparison to HH (another game that's designed with a non-competative, narrative eye but is very easy to break). Those types appear to be rampant at the moment and are, honestly, a massive fucking downer.
Yeah RUclips old world just seems to have been hijacked by the competitive folks. In my group we play with armies which look like armies, and we have a great time.

Man, I've paintstripped my old 5th edition warriors and rebased them on 30mm bases and OMFG they fit 😂😅

The warp fire dragon has (only) a 4+ save.
He needs to be restricted to one per army though.
