    OMG the dreaded internet button on phones at that time I remember having a panic attack when I accidently pressed it because I knew it would cost me several dollars of extra data charges on my plan.

      That was the worst! Or when people would text me during the day when it charged me. Now nobody texts me 😅

    My first phone was an analog Motorola Startech flip phone in 1995 when I was 19 years old I loved that phone and used it until they turned off analog service, I then was looking at this phone but ended up getting a sony walkman flip phone instead

      It's the worst. I have that feeling with the older BlackBerry phones. The phones today don't give me that feeling that these devices did.

    I love these phones. My mom and dad had one each when I was little-now, I own five of them in various colors and model revisions. The pink one is, of course, my favorite and current daily driver😁 BTW, that new one of yours looks like a bootleg-manufacturers will take the motherboards out of phones with ruined outer shells, and put them into their own newly-made reproductions. The quality of these repros varies wildly, from actually decent to downright BAD! You can tell by the way that the "M" on the front is the same color as the plastic rather than having the silver sticker.
    As for accessibility, you can put your own custom themes on the menus and home screens...some of my favorites are a Hello Kitty theme and a monochrome black and white one that's very high contrast.

      @@ChakkyCharizard yes I definitely have a bootleg versions n. The keypad is also very shiny. I still have my original Razr but the screen no longer works 🫤

      @@LauraMalvoyanteIt sounds like the ribbon cable connecting the display may have snapped somehow. You *might* be able to swap the LCD of your bootleg in (I don't know if they used their own LCD or not), but disassembling the phone involves a lot of steps and many tiny pieces which may be difficult for someone with low vision. Even I couldn't do it without my glasses!
      BTW, the MMS is likely not working because the server it's pointing to is no longer there. Finding your carrier's updated internet/MMS settings is a task and a half, since it's configured a little differently today than it was in '07-to the point I abandoned attempting it completely when I discovered I could replace the phone's firmware with that of another carrier whose old MMS and internet settings are still valid, and have it work once I carrier unlocked the phone.
      Super jealous of your light pink one also. That's the one I originally wanted, but I ended up with the hot pink one because it's the only one I could find😂

    • @LauraMalvoyante
      @LauraMalvoyante  Месяц назад +1

      @@ChakkyCharizard I tried taking apart my light pink one but I coul.n'yd do it myself and I didn't want to damage it. I'm sure I could take it to the repair shop near my house to have them try to swap the screen or ribbon. I don't have the patience for the MMS configurations and honestly I don't think people want my razr photos 😂

    please tell me if I understood correctly that I can’t use razr v3 or blackberry phones now, because there are no SIM cards suitable for the bottom? on ebay, there are these phones for 30-40 dollars, as I understand they are reflashed? or are these Chinese versions? in general, please explain to me whether I can use them, if so, where can I buy them?🙏🏻

    • @LauraMalvoyante
      @LauraMalvoyante  Месяц назад

      The Razr has a lot of knock-offs or chinese versions that are similar but lesser quality. I haven't had this issue with the BlackBerry phones but I'm sure it exists. I bought my BlackBerry devices on eBay and had no issues exect the sim tray was broken. The Razr I bought on Etsy and it was not the orighinal version but still works perfectly fine.
